TS3274 IPad turns itself off when I'm viewing pages

Something new that I haven't seen before is a Debug Console and it will tell me I have messages. When I click on the messages there are HTML, JavaScript or CSS error messages. Is this something new? What is causing the errors. Would this explain why the iPad shuts itself down when I am viewing pages?

Without examples to try out here, there are some basic troubleshooting tips you should try.
1. Restart the ipad. Hold the top button till you see the swipe to turn off, swipe to turn the iPad off and then restart.
2. If a restart doesn't fix things, try a reboot by holding the top and home buttons simultaneously until you see the apple logo.
3. Try a different wifi network. You may be having issues with your connection.
4. Go to Settings -> Safari and clear the history and cookies and data. Also open the Advanced section and make sure Web Inspector is turned OFF.
5. If these steps don't fix the issue, you may need to do a restore using a computer with iTunes installed.

  • Samsung Convoy - keeps turning itself off when closed up

I'm having trouble with the Samsung Convoy turning itself off, when I close it to hang up. Sometimes it does it, sometimes not. If I try to slowly and very gingerly close it, it may not turn off.   Is anyone else having this problem? It's very annoying as I find out my phone has been off and I didn't know it.
    Thanks!

    Hello tdugdell,
I know it can be a bit frustrating when your device powers off without your knowledge.  Since you do have the most recent software I would first suggest to try a different battery in the device to help confirm if the root cause is device or simply the battery. If you do not have an additional battery we can see if your nearest store has a test battery to try and if not we can see what warranty options you may have.  If the test advises this is not a battery issue I would then suggest completing a factory reset. Click here to follow visuals to do so.  This process will erase everything on the device so please back up if desired.  Click here to for visuals to back up your contacts.  Once the reset is done the device will power cycle and prompt a re-activation by dialing *228 send option 1.  I would like for you to test the device before you add your contacts back via backup assistant if you choose to use the application.  If the test(s) is successful then proceed with adding your contacts and retest after.  Please advise me of the results, per the suggestions above, if you need additional assistance.  Thank you.

  • Phone freezes and turn itself off when the "Ph. se...

I got a Nokia n97 mini 2 weeks ago and the phone works great except that sometimes it would turn itself off and when I turn it back on it lags and freezes. I notice every time the phone freezes and turn itself off when the "Ph. setup" in the App menu is running. Is the device updating itself? How can I make it stop? Everything freezes as soon as the Ph. setup starts running.
I try waiting it out (if the phone is setting something up it shouldn't take more than a few minutes) but I leave it there for several hours and it's still frozen.
Thanks for reading -sorry if my English sucks-

FYI: Siri can only do certain things when locked. It will not do anything that requires the iPhone to be unlocked (without first unlocking the iPhone).

  • My iPhone 4S keeps turning itself off when I still have battery life and then it doesn't charge?

It's only just started doing this and it's really annoying me now!! Ha
I'll charge my phone up overnight then a couple of hours into the next day the battery wil be down to about 20% then it will say I only have 10% left even though I will have 20% if you see what I mean? And then to top it off it turns itself off and won't let me recharge!!
It did happen to my iPad the other week but that seems to be fine now.
I've tried changing and checking chargers etc but they seem to work it other people's and my iPad seems fine now

    Hi there glee154!
I have an article here that can help you troubleshoot this issue with your iPhone. The article is about troubleshooting a multitude of iPhone hardware issues, and can be found right here:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
The specific section you will want to reference can be found here:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

  • E65 Turns itself off when it pleases!

Hi, my E65 turns itself off apparently as and when it pleases. Sometimes as many as 5 times a day, but on other days not at all. Sometimes it happens when I close it after a call. and other times it goes just when I want to answer a call. Has anybody else had this happen? if so what can I do about it?
From a business point of view, I need my phone, but if I can't rely on it, I'll go looking elsewhere. Thanks in advance.

    have you tried updating firmware

If your phone appears to have problems with power, the problem may be with the phone, the battery, or the charger. Before bringing your phone into a Nokia Care point for inspection, please perform the following checks:
    * Fully charge the battery according to the instructions presented in the user guide.
    * Remove and re-insert the battery according to the instructions presented in the user guide.
    * Check that you are using a Nokia battery and charger compatible with your phone model. You can check compatibility from the Battery Compatibility Chart and Charger Compatibility Chart.
    * If you have access to another battery and charger of the same type as yours, try substituting them to determine if the issue is with the phone, the battery, or the charger.
If you are unable to test your phone or it still keeps switching off, please bring it to the nearest Nokia Care point for inspection. You can find Care point addresses from the drop-down menu to the right

  • N73 turns itself off when using real tone

When i have an incomming call, and have a real tone selected, my phone rings for 3 rings then dumps and turns itself off. It works again when i turn it on but if i call it again it does the same thing. I have tried using a real tone from the phone and from the memory card and it does the same thing. This does not happen with a polyphonic tone. Any suggestions?
    thanks

thank you for your advice. I have discovered that most tones work, but the odd one is still dumping the phone. I will just use the working ones now.
    thanks again for your advice.

  • IPhone screen doesn't turn itself off when on lockscreen

Ever since I updated to 3.1.3, if I leave my phone somewhere locked, and I get a notification it lights up the screen, as it used to, but then it never turns itself off again. Which means if I'm at work for example, get a text 5 minutes after I start then my phones screen is left on all day, leading to the battery being flat by the time I finish work.
I have auto-lock set to 1 minute so that is no the issue.
If anyone has any idea on what could be causing this and how to fix it I'd appreciate it!
    Thanks

Then the next step would be a restore, with or without your backup. See p. 204... http://manuals.info.apple.com/enUS/iPhone_UserGuide.pdf
You might also play around with your auto-lock settings... on/off, different times, etc.

  • My iPad switches itself off when I'm on the Internet help

When I'm using my iPad on the net it switches itself off and I'm having to turn it back on again and out in my password I only want to use it properly

    Hi Lisah,
It sounds like you may have some corrupted files in the operating system -- when built-in apps and features like Camera and Siri malfunction, corrupted files are often the culprit.  There are a few things you can do to fix this -- first thing I'd recommend would be to back up your device to make sure you have all of your current data and settings saved.  Back up and restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using iCloud or iTunes - Apple Support
After backing up your data, try resetting all settings in Settings > General > Reset.  Try the camera and charger again to see if you still see the same strange behavior.  If so, there's likely a corrupted file in the iOS installation.  It's pretty easy to reinstall the operating system files to fix this -- you will need a computer with internet access.  Follow the steps in Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support to completely reinstall the iOS files and get a fresh, clean installation.
After using iTunes to restore the phone, go through the setup assistant on the phone and choose the option to Set up as a new iPhone.  Set it up as new and test the camera again -- if it works this time, that's a good sign!  After making sure it works properly, you can restore from the backup that created before doing all of the resets and restores.  This will bring your content and settings back to the phone.
    Good luck!

  • My iPad Mini has stopped turning itself off when the cover closes.

Is there a setting for this that I have overlooked?

If the cover you bought is not a legitimate apple cover than you may be having the same issue I had.
The one I purchased has a top cover swivel, if you spin it around( meaning the top case cover)
The magnet will return to the correct spot and it will work again. It is only located at one end of the case.
    Hope this might help:)
