my ibook scan is in japanese how do i get to english?

IBookscan is a separate programme which can be downloaded from the apps store - type the names as a single word. It was installed on myiPad by a visiting Korean student. It seems to be only available in Korean - I can't find a version in English I am not clear how it works, but there is a website ibookscan.co.kr which is also in Korean. I don't know any Korean so I am not sure if the website could be displayed on english

You can install MAMPon you mac (free web server, no configuration needed).
Put ePub file in Applications/MAMP/htdocs and you can download locally (quicker than Dropbox, Mega, etc...)
On your iPad's nevigator type:

You can see local IP on: System Preferences/Lan or System Preferences/Sharing
iPad and Mac must be in the same lan/wifi network.

Just FYI, you've posted in the wrong place, this part of the discussions site is for iBook Author, you should post in iBooks.
Anyway, if you're on your mobile device, you open IBooks (you may have to download the app from the AppStore, I don't think it's there by default), tap 'store', and search for 'Jeremy Clarkson'. Latest book I could see is "the Top Gear Years".
If you're on your mac, the iBook store can be accessed via iTunes, downloaded, and then sync your iPad.

I have the same problem! Let me know if you manage to sort it out. My iPad did the same thing but to full restore from iTunes sorted that out. Have you tried that? No such luck with my iPhone.

IBook Snow, no OS. How can I get get it running?

I got an iBook that had the HD wiped. When I turn on the iBook, all I get is a blinking folder/question mark. I have the restore disks from an eMac that ran Panther. So how can I get an OS on it and get it going?

You'll need the disks that are specific to the iBook (gray) or a full retail version (black with silver lettering) of the OS you want.

You can only upload music from your computer's iTunes, you can't do it from an iOS device - when you subscribe to iTunes Match on your computer it should have scanned your music library on it and matched or uploaded any non-iTunes purchased music to it.
Do you have copies of those tracks anywhere e.g. on an iOS device or on your backup of your downloads/library ? If they are iTunes purchases then they should be in the cloud. If they were copied from CDs or bought from other sources then if they are only on an iOS device (i.e. you don't have them on a backup) then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

How can I get correct English spelling in Lightroom 3 (UK/Canada)

I tried to download the software from the UK site and the Canadian one but it kept sending me to the US site. All I want is the 'u' in colour! Is there proper spelling in another version out there and if so, how can I get it instead?
A 'u'! My kingdom for a 'u'!

FYI: For anyone else trying the translation file solution.
As brilliantly suggested by Dorin above, I modified a number of 'en' translation files in the Lightroom 3 installation. I didn't have the 'en' directory under the 'Resources' directory but found that if I created this directory and put another translation file in it, Lightroom picked it up when loading.
All I ended up having to do was to add the specific lines I wanted modified. For anyone interested, here are the contents of that file so far. There may be minor mistakes as nothing translates from another language perfectly.

How can I get the English version of Photoshop?

I have a creative cloud membership, and I lilve in Norway. Most apps are not available in Norwegian, and that's fine with me - I want to use the English version anyway. But Photoshop defaults to Norwegian, and there's no other choice in the Photoshop settings. How can I get rid of the badly translated Norwegian version, and get the English version where I can understand what everything means?

Windows 8 - Norwegian.
The Application Manager is still in Norwegian, even after I changed the language preferences. And now the Application manager shows all the apps except Photoshop and InDesign as not installed. I guess I'll have to uninstall and reinstall all apps for the Application Manager to realize that the apps are actually installed.
But I'm happy to do that as long as I can work in the English version where I understand what the tools do. :-)

No they are not. Are you English or American?
It is Latin quotes from Cicero and it is just placeholder text to show what you get when you click on it and replace it.
So the answer is do exactly that and type whatever language you think it is you speak, in its place.

Suddenly there are multiple copies of the same ibook on my bookshelf. How do I get rid of the extra copies?

I have purchased several ibooks from the bookstore over the last several months. Suddenly there are multiple copies of several titles. Not coincidentally I am have trouble downloading newly purchased titles. I am receiving a message that there is insufficient space when there is, in fact, 6GB+ available. How to proceed?

Quit iBooks completely and reboot the iPad.
From your home screen -Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the iBooks app icon. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Go back to iBooks and see if the duplicates have disappeared.

ITunes store switched to Japanese - how do I get back?

I have Japanese language packs installed on my Windows machine to run a Sony Librie. I accidentally plugged my iPod into Windows - iTunes wasn't installed but somehow it has subtly changed the language settings. The iPod is still showing English language and I did a reset all settings on it.
Anyway - when I plugged the iPod into the Mac - it opened iTunes but switched the iTunes store to Japan. I can't get out of it and all the interface dialogs are now in Japanese. What the ****? Any ideas how to get back to normal?

Go to the bottum and select USA or CANADA (look at the flags). If this doesn't help try going to the Windows help line thing cuz everyone here knows more about iMacs

I have many PDF files in iBooks for iPad 2. How can I get those files to sync with iPhone 5?

I Have many categories of my work brochures stored in PDF format in iBooks. iPad 2 running iOS 6. I'd like to be able to view those same PDF files on my iPhone 5. Is this possible to do over the iCloud ?
i Cannot do it via iTunes because my MacBook is 10.5.8 and apparently is not capable of getting iTunes 10.7

When I don't have my computer available, I do this by emailing the PDF to myself then open it from whichever device I need (open in iBooks)

HT203433 I've bought a book but in iBooks it says paused. How can I get it downloaded?

I downloaded a book from iTunes and I have synced to my iPad and phone. It won't download properly on ipad as it says paused on the iBook shelf but ok to read on phone.

Try deleting the problematic book (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iBook store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iBook store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
