well first remove the case. check the headphone jack for debris. do a hard reset by holding sleep/wake and home button down together for 10 seconds untill apple appears. backup and restore via itunes. if issue persists the device needs repair

Hi Ive just had the same problem,I was playing a gamy 'my farm' & i put my iphone 4 down to answer door then when i picked it up the iphone was black screen & no power,i did plugin to itunes & the wall plug but nothing,then i held the power & home buttons down for about 6 seconds & the apple logo appeared.I really freaked,its ok right now but im phoning my apple store becoz it had 77% battery so theres something wrong with this iphone 4.

Brought iPod 4 for Daughter, she put on Passcode and she can't remember it, the ipod is saying "ipod is disabled" connect to itunes. Connented to iTunes come up with need to put passcode. The on/off button does not work, can't turn off and hold home button to reset please help.

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer

The on/off button on my iphone 3gs does not work. I cannot shut the phone down to reboot and it is stuck in a no service. I cannot get cell or internet service. Is there another way to reboot the phone? Possibly a soft reset?

Suddenly reply button does not work. Reply changes to Reply All then Back
My Mail program has been working for a few days no problem, then yesterday the reply button stopped working. When I select reply it changes to Reply All then Back to reply again. I can create a new message and click send - with no problem.
I tested the account with Connection Doctor and I am connected to the outgoing and incoming mail just fine. My webmail program for the email also works, so I'm pretty sure its a Mail program issue.
Any ideas?Hey there.... so just to rule out anything to do with Avast I deleted it and re-started the computer.
I checked Mail and I still have the default toolbar, I dragged it to the top again just to make sure.
I just replaced my batteries in both the mouse and keyboard.
Also, I can forward the message and click send. I can also create a new message and send. I just don't seem to be able to reply to a message.

My phone is still under garentee, so its no big deal, except that theres text messages on my phone that I need as evidence in a court case next month, and I cant take a chance on losing them so I've got to put up with a semi working phone for another month.
I think the whole phone is a poor show. Had it to replace my old and dying N95, and the lumia isnt a pacth on that. I cant back my phone up to my computer, blue tooth is poor, cant save or pring text messages, the list goes on. . .

Try a reset: Hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go.

My 1-year ipod nano locked up and would not start overnight. The on/off button will not work and stopped holding charge. No water damage, no fall, nothing unusual. I restored it (twice) but it will still not hold charge and on/off does not work. I tried to restore it again and charged it in three different locations with different cables. etc but nothing. Suggestions?
- After charging for 1/2 hour or so, does iTunes see the iPod? If yes, restore the iPod from backup.
- If no, se if placing the iPod in recovery mode will make it visible so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

Likely a hardware issue... no way around that except to get it repaired or don't use it (the button).
