No. The broken glass technically voids the AppleCare Coverage. The Apple Genius will listen to your story and evaluate the problems with your iPhone. The Genius can decide how to handle this in many ways, including accepting this with AppleCare, but I doubt it. Again the broken glass voids the Coverage. If the Genius decides that the AppleCare is now Void, out of Warranty replacement is $149.

Problems with record button on iPad rMini.

Is anyone having problems activating the Record button in the Camera Video mode. It has a mind of its own. Sometimes I can get it to work, other times it won't activate unless I click out of camera mode and then go back and try again. Of course by then, I've lost the moment I wanted to record.
Also I experience occasional problems in switching from video to camera or vice versa. Actually this usually occurs around the same time I am also experiencing problems with activating the Record button?
Anybody know of a fix besides returning the device to the Apple store for another iPad rMini? Thanks.

Problem with home button and "messages" app after upgrade to iOS 4.1

I have noticed two interesting problems with my iPhone 4. I am not sure if it is in conjunction with the upgrade to the iOS 4.1 software, but I did not notice the problem prior to this. Both of these problems are very odd and are hit or miss. I have tried restoring and the problem is still present. Also, since both problems have presented at the same time, that is why I am starting to believe it is not hardware...
Problem 1: The home button has become considerably unresponsive. This is not all the time, but it does happen a lot. Sometimes it won't work for about 5-8 clicks and I have to use the power button to access the phone.
Problem 2: When composing a new text message the cursor would always default into the "To:" section of the app which allows you to easily type what contact you are trying to message. However, I am having the issue now occasionally when I am in the messages app and select to compose a new text message that the cursor now defaults into the chat box (where you type your actual message). This is very annoying and I know that this is not the intended behavior of this.
Please let me know if anyone has experienced similar issues and can provide me with some feedback.

I have tried restoring and the problem is still present.
You restored from your iPhone's backup, or as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup?
If whatever software problem is causing this is included with your iPhone's backup, restoring from the backup will also restore the problem.
Try restoring as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup to see if this makes any difference. If not, more than likely your iPhone has a hardware problem.

Hey! I just read something about it on a post by iPhone 4S Stuck at boot showing [NAND] ? at the end of the second page..... It is a lot of work by it depends on you if you want to try.... at the end if not working as varjak paw quoted you may have to replace it...... but don't give up!!!!

Problems with Home button, anyone else experiencing this?

Okay so over the last few days, my home button seems to be playing up but in a weird way.
If I press the sleep button then the home button to reactivate the screen, I have no problems what so ever. However if the phone auto-sleeps and I go to use the home button to reactivate then I have to press the home button between 5 and 10 times to get it to wake up! (**** lazy phone lol)
Was just wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this?
My only problem is, I can't take it back to the apple store, it was bought back from Australia and is factory unlocked, so what do i do?

I think the phone just glitched up completely.
It was no longer picking up my wifi, turned the phone off then back on, picking up wifi and home button works as it should.

from what i have heard this is a common problem. at first my sound occassionally didnt work but now the sound icon in my tool bar at top of screen has gone and there are no settings to get it back. my sound has completely stopped working

Apple will fix it. No pricing without making an appointment with the Genius Bar at the Apple Store. Usually an Authorized Apple Repair Store can do it with a faster turn around time and less expensive pricing.

Problems with Transitions in FCP Exported Files - How to Fix?

I have completed an HD 16:9 project which plays properly with transitions in FCP 5.1.4, but when I export it, the transitions have a momentary "blink" to black just as the they begin, and then they complete normally -- a very distracting annoyance. I tried several different transitions, and the same problem occurs. I also tried exporting to several different formats and the problem persists. I also tried applying the flicker filter and the deinterlace filter with no success. I would appreciate any help!

I would also check to make sure the frame rates between your media and sequence really match. This type of thing has also been seen when working with 24p DV50 material - renders such as transitions were showing time shifts and repeated frames.
If this is HDV, you might try isolating one offending transition, exporting the clips as AIC and rebuilding an re-rendering it just to see if it helps. If it does, you could probably use media manager to convert all of the clips in your sequence and reconnect automatically.

Weird problem with ipod...not sure how to fix

My ipod was filled to the max...like 950 songs and i couldnt fit anymore. i had it on set up mannually, but one day when i plugged it in to my computer it acted as if it was a new ipod and switched to "update automatically." Then it updated by deleting all my songs i didnt have saved onto the library before i could stop it. now ive reimported all my cds, but it will only hold 500 songs and says its full. They are all the same songs so it cant really be full. I'm not sure how to fix this. Please let me know if you know how to fix it. Thanks

I don't think that a software update from Apple will solve the issues that you are having. You have a rogue installation. After you posted I have just done the following:
Disk Utility can verify my partitioned Volume (including my boot disk) AND REPAIR the non-boot disks on the same Volume without a glitch. It repairs the non-boot disks containing data smoothly.
I have used Mail to send some mails from some Yahoo and Hotmail accounts to my Thunderbird client containing GMail accounts - absolutely normal.
I have iLife '09 but my iMovie '09 and iPhoto '09 open in a jiffy and I see no issues here. I have 6GB RAM (Maximum) on an early 2008 Macbook Pro with a 750GB hard drive partitioned with 120GB reserved for the Boot Drive.
I am sorry that I cannot help further but I am sure there must be a way to reinstall the software without having to revert to restoring your ML backup. I have two clones and if you have such I would attempt to do that through that rather than through Time Machine - that is of course if you have a cloned drive.

Home button on iPad rMini takes 2 tries to work.

I have a replacement retina iPad mini. I got it in January, 2014 after shattering the screen in my original. After a month or so I noticed he home button didn't always respond, but the instances were few at the onset. This is getting progressively worse. Now it takes 2 solid pushes for it to register. Although it is very useable now, I feel it will continue to get worse. The iPad is not damaged in any way.
Anyway, I have AppleCare and was wondering if anyone thought that Apple may replace it at no charge (which I feel they should) or if they are going to charge me the fee AppleCare charges for a replacement unit. if they charged me, that would be my second strike against 3 replacements.
has anyone had experience with home button issues and AppleCare?
Thoughts?

I guess I spoke too soon. One day has passed since I tried this fix, and although it seemed to fix my problem at first, I have had 2 nonresponsive touches since that point in time. So maybe it's a combination of hardware and software issues but it is still definitely present.
So back to my original question,
Do you think that Apple care will charge me or will take care of this at no charge - Anyone?

Freezing Home Button on iPad 2

Had my 64gb wi fi & 3G iPad 2 since launch day on the 25th March. In the last few days I have noticed the home button has started to not respond when pressed, either once or when double clicked! It does seem to be intermittent, but I am certainly not happy with such an expensive piece of kit. Anyone else having a similar problem?

I'm having the same problem with my 32GB 3G iPad 2. Like you said, the problem is intermittent and very worrying. I've seen quite a few people commenting online that they have also had the same problem. I have no idea whether this is a SW or HW issue but I really hope its SW because it will be really hard for me to get a replacement where I live (Shanghai). I guess I'll have to give Apple a call tomorrow.
