  • Keep getting Yahoo e-mail instead of Verizon e-mail

Keep getting Yahoo e-mail instead of Verizon e-mail.  prinst is so tiny I can barely readit.  Get me back on Verizon amd get rid of Yahoo - make the print large so I can read it.  Thank you.

You will need to contact Verizon support. This is a peer-to-peer support forum. Tech Support should be able to get you fixed up though.

  • I can only see the welcome to mail screen (iphone 5).  I have set up mail successfully because it shows mail icon with messages.  But I cant get into the mail box!

I can only see the welcome to mail screen (iphone 5).  I have successfully set up the mail because it shows mail icon with messages (104 messages).  But I cant get into the actual mail box to read them.  Pls help!

The received emails should show in two locations:
    1. In the All Inboxes tab of Mail.
    2. The Inbox for each mail account,
If your emails are not showing in these locations try quitting the mail app and then reset your iPhone.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal.
To reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • Restoring Data from old phone to S III and getting Yahoo E-Mail to work on the Galaxy S III

I wanted to share some information on how to do a few things on the Galaxy SIII. After spending approximately 6 hours on the phone and On-Line Chat with Verizon Wireless Tech Support they told me the following things could not be done. Well FOR THE RECORD they CAN BE DONE!!!!!
Here is how to Back-up and Restore your Text, Picture and Video messages from your old phone to your new phone:
BEFORE you DEACTIVATE the OLD PHONE:
Make sure you have an External SD card in your old phone that will work in your new phone
Go to the Play Store and install Verizon Messages
Open the Verizon Messages program and click on Back-UP – ALL Text, Picture and Video messages will be backed-up. IF YOU GET A “SAVE CANCELLED” MESSAGE:
You may have to Back-up LARGE messages (with picture & Video content) individually.
You may also have to backup conversation threads 1 at a time if there are a large number of texts in that thread:
*****Hopefully Verizon will fix AND INCREASE the LOW AMOUNT OF DATA ALLOWED AT 1 TIME ON THIS APP SOON*****
Once you have everything Backed Up on the External SD Card Remove the SD Card from the old phone and install it in the new phone
NOW ACTIVATE YOUR NEW GALAXY S III:
When you are in the Set-Up Wizard:
If you are using Yahoo E-Mail and want it to be accessible by clicking on the E-Mail Icon
DO NOT click on the Yahoo Mail Icon during the E-Mail Account Set-up portion of the Set-Up Wizard!!!
Instead click on the Other E-Mail Icon and enter your Yahoo E-Mail accounts there – this will assure that the Yahoo E-Mail accounts will
sync and update as they should AND be accessible by just clicking on the E-Mail Icon on your screen.
To Restore your data from the Old Phone to the New Phone After the Set-Up Wizard is completed:
Make sure you have the External SD card from your old phone installed in your new phone
Go to the Play Store and install Verizon Messages
Open the Verizon Messages program and click on Restore – IF YOU SEE 2 SD CARDS LISTED (ON MINE IT LISTED ExtSDCard and SDCARD0) you will have to copy EVERYTHING from the ExtSDCard to the SDCard0. Next Click on Restore again and ALL Text,
Picture and Video messages will be restored to your New Phone.
I HOPE THIS SAVES YOU ALOT OF AGGRAVATION AND FRUSTRATION WITH YOUR NEW GALAZY S III

What type of mail account is it?
    POP, IMAP, etc?
When you got your new phone did you put on a backup of your old phone?
If POP, well POP works by keeping track of what it has downloaded or not. So if it got info from your last phone when you synced your new one, then it knows it already downloaded them, thus won't download them again (just how POP works).

  • Mail to get Yahoo! Mail

    Hi All,
I am trying to get my Yahoo! mail account to appear in the Mail app.
I am using Mac OSX Tiger.
Can I do that? If so how?
I have searched all over the site but found no help to setting up.
    Looking forward for the reply.
    Cheers

You have to make sure one thing: are you allowed to use Yahoo! POP3 service?
If your Yahoo! account ended as "@yahoo.com", you have to subscribe to Yahoo! Mail Plus Service to get the POP3 service, which is not free. However, if you have a "@yahoo.ca" account, you should be able to use it for free after enabling an advertising option.
    http://help.yahoo.com/help/ca/mail/pop/pop-02.html
If you do have access to use POP3 service, then the only thing left is to find the correct POP3 and SMTP server address. It is listed below:
    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/pop-14.html
You MAY have to use a different SMTP server address from your ISP in order to be able to send emails out.

  • Cant get through the ipad set up

I have a new ipad and cant get through the set up process because the ipad wont connect to my network.

If you need to, you can set up the iPad through iTunes on your computer as well. That "old fashioned" way of activating the device still works. Don't be hesitant to try it if you need to do so.
If you do not have a computer, obviously your hands are tied in that regard, but you could try using a friend's computer - or you can try activating the device in another WiFi network - at a library, a friend's house - anywhere that you can get WiFi access.
If the device is new and you have nothing from which you can restore anyway, it doesn't matter how or where you activate the device.

  • Since upgrade to iOSs 8.2 i cant get or send mail from my iPhone 6.

since upgrade to iOS 8.2 i cant get or send email from my Iphone 6.
I have tried apple support troubleshooting, deleting and creating new account, resetting network setting...nothing works, any gelp would be apprciated. Thanks

Just to clarify, are you saying that now you can't send email at all, or just while connected to Wi-Fi? (To test this, just turn your Wi-Fi off and use your Cellular network instead to send an email).
I know you have deleted/created accounts, but when adding the SMTP server is that being resolved by the iPhone okay?

  • TS3276 Cant get gmail, imap password wrong

On my iphone, I cant get gmail. However I can get M- mail.

Solved. It WAS evidently a firewall issue in my new ISP.

  • TS3276 cant send or receive mail from my @mac.co.uk account

cant send or receive mail from my @mac.co.uk account

If the settings are correct?, Then delete the account and start over. You may also try to restart your phone by holding the home and off button down till the apple symbol comes up.

  • I cant get yahoo games to load and to dumb to know why

I have never been able to get yahoo games to load and am not very technical to figure it out please help

Try installing Adobe Flash Player here - http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Remember when installing this, the file will go to your 'Downloads' Folder.
You will have to run that file after it downloads to complete the installation, you'll know you are almost done if you check the infamous "I agree" box and click install.
(If this doesn't work, try restarting after the dowload has been completed)

  • How to Get Yahoo Push Mail to Work on the iPhone- Finally

I post this for the benefit of all of you struggling with this same problem and how to resolve it.
I talked to AppleCare this morning and this is what they said that Yahoo push start working- the first thing that has after spending several solid useless days trying every other recommendation on various forums, none of which worked. Here is what they said to do:
    1. Restore completely, without having the backup restore onto the iPhone.
    2. Delete all of your email accounts on the iphone (I did this first before doing #1 to see if the remainder would work without a restore, but it did not, but when I went back and did #1 first it worked).
    3. Re-enter all of your e mail accounts, beginning with the non-yahoo accounts first- very important. Be sure to set up at this time whether you want them manually to check or every 15 minutes for mail, etc., BEFORE you set up or enter the Yahoo account.
    4. Then, after the above, enter the Yahoo account.
The support guy told me that for some reason changing how often the send receive occurs (manually, etc.) AFTER first setting up the yahoo account somehow overwrites information for the yahoo account and keeps the push from working. He said he had solved the push for a number of people following the procedure, and I agree, it did work.
Whether it will keep working I am skeptical! Also, I meant to ask, but did not: Does this mean that if I now ever change how often the iPhone checks for mail will it now overwrite the yahoo information and cause the push to stop working again, meaning I have to do the above steps again.
Finally, the push is not instantaneous, but is in about 2 minutes or so, at least from what I have seen- a lot better than every 15 minutes.

Sorry it did not work for you. Call Apple at 800-myiphone- maybe they can help.

  • Cant get my Apple Mail

I have been having problems for the last two weeks on getting Mail.  My son in law, the computer guru has had me change my settings to match what SHOULD work (and what did work prior to the last Apple upgrade), and I still can't receive my Mail. I cannot imagine what is going on but it is serverly affecting my business and personal contacts.  I get the triangle indicating I can't get online with my Mail account. Without disclosing my identifiying information, I have tried the following settings:
I am using Jerry Magnus as my "screen name" to keep confidentiality.
    Incoming mail user name:  Jerry+magnus.com
    incoming mail server:  mail.magnus.com
Incoming mail server: (SSL) box610.bluehost.com (sever requires authentication which I already have done)
outing mail server: mail.magnus.com, port 26
outoing mail sever: (SSL)box 610.bluehost.com, port 465 (server requires authentication, which I already have done)
Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3,POP35(SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
Supported Outong Mail Protocols: STMP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)
At present I can mail out using AOL, and receive AOL messages,  but this is not a good idea.
Note: According to what I can see I am only using 145 megabytes in my system (referring to what is in my mailboxes), whereas my online capacity has been increased to 350 MB.
Is anyone out there having problems with their incoming Mail Messages?  Again, everything worked up to two weeks ago...but not now.
I may have to bring my computer into APPLE to have it fixed...since that requires a very long trip, I'd like to have this solved on line if possible.  PLEASE RESPOND HERE...I still get Apple notifications.
    HELP!

Did you ever solve your problem?
I just transfered my web hosting and e-mail to bluehost. I had some of the same problems you are having. I noticed you have your incoming server set to bluehost.
Incoming mail server: (SSL) box610.bluehost.com (sever requires authentication which I already have done)
If bluehost is your server this is what worked for me:
    Account Information
    Account type— POP
    Description—anything you want
Email Address—in your case would be [email protected]
Full name—  first and last name
    Incoming server—mail.magnus.com
User name—[email protected] Notice it is the @ symbol not a +
password— your password . Remember they are case sensitive
Outgoing Mail server—select edit smpt server list from the drop down window
select the + to add a server
    Account Information
    Description—may be left blank
    Server name—mail.magnus.com
    TSL Certificate—None
    Advanced
    Use default ports
    Check  Use SSL
    Authenticate—password
    Username—[email protected]
    passowrd—your password
    Click ok
    In the accounts window
Outgoing SMTP— select the server you just created.
    Check—use only this server
Select the Advance tab next to the Mailbox Behaviors
Check use SSL— it will be port 995
    Authenticate —use password

  • I cant get my e-mails on my I-phone.

Why cant I get e-mails on my i-phone?

That's unfortunate, but still provides us with absolutely no information about your problem.  Since you cant'seem to manage to express yourself with written words, you are probably best off bringing your phone to Apple in person for assistance.
