I am trying to attach a file to an email and it puts the contents of the file into the body of the email instaed of as an attachment

You can use ASMA( Adapter Specific Message Attributes) for acccessing the file name, along with Dynamic Configuration. You can follow the following blog for that. If you do not want to use the same file name for the reciever, dont select the File Name check box.

iTunes told me to delete my backup folder when I was having problems syncing my phone to my computer. After that it wouldn't work at all. I doubt that corrupt files are the problem. It is more likely a space or permissions issue. Is the hard-drive on which iTunes is stored close to capacity? Do you (or the particular user profile you have logged on with) have the requisite permissions to save to that drive?
Otherwise, do you get an error code? This might point us in the right direction.

Is the media files in question in the iTunes library or elsewhere on the computer?

Opening files with Illustrator and photoshop doesn't work, i have to drag the files from finder in to the program. This problem appears after opening 4 a 5 files.

Thank you for responding. So I essentially will never be able to use that button in lightroom 5? do I need to get LR 6? Will there ever be an update for LR 5 that will enable me to use it?
Does DNG Converter work within LR or do I have to upload pictures to my computer and then make a second copy in DNG format. and then go into LR and use them?

I am having an issue in PS CS6 (on a Mac) where in the middle of working on a file, it gets corrupted by filling in a grid of squares in my layer masks as well as deleting out those same sections of misc layers throughout the file. I have reset the preferences, cleaned up the file. Renamed it to another file and 2 weeks later it is doing the same thing. Luckily I had my main subjects as smart objects and it saved them. This second time I just closed it out and opened it again and it is fine. Anybody else have an issue with this? Also it runs really slow these days on my MacBook Pro Retina 2.6 Core i7 with 16gb Ram.

If you are working with a file you modified in Lightroom, you should go to the Lightroom Photo menu and choose Edit in... and the version of Photoshop you want to open it in.
There a dialog will ask if you want to transfer the LR settings you made to your photo when you open in Photoshop.

Installs fine for me, so I'd guess you got an incomplete or corrupt download. See the Further Information area of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for direct links and download a fresh copy of the installer.

Not it's only function but one for which it was most admirably suited, which is why I really hope someone can find a work around. I am hoping my post to the Apple feedback may prompt a useful response from Apple and I live in hope that my post here will elicit a useful response from another user. Like I said, I bought one of their inexpensive enclosures and now can use the hard drive just as a source for the files that are on it...my external drives are much larger and faster so I just plug that drive in when I need something from it.

Create a one word pdf file. Try converting to word. If that fails, try a complete uninstall, run the cleaner tool, then re-install.

Saving a file pdf file and the file name appears on a PC with + signs in the name of the file - How do I eliminate the file name coming up with the + signs?

A pdf file is created from a word document and then posted to our dealer portal. It allows the dealer to open the pdf file and then either print and/or save off to a hard drive. The issue is the file name has + signs in between all the words. Is there a way to eliminate the file names coming up with the plus signs? It is not being saved that way. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Use a proper file name for the WORD document. MS decided several years ago to allow spaces, but that is not standard and is likely what the issue is. A good alternative is to replace spaces in file names with underbars, "_".

The qualifying product is the older version that you owned before you purchased the upgrade to version. It is what qualifies you to use the less expensive upgrade version. So you need to select the older version and provide its serial number to prove that you qualify for using the upgrade.
