Connection to Yahoo confirmed but I still cannot get new messages from my yahoo account downloaded to my mac, totally frustrated! I can send just fine from mail, but getting new mail is NOT WORKING -
Hi, Go into your advanced settings and deselect SSL and save settings. This will put an exclamation mark next to your inbox. Click on the exclamation mark and it will ask you to back into settings an reselect SSL, do this, save it and quit mail. When you go back in it should start pulling mail through again, this worked for me. Hope it helps

Accessing Outlook Mail Which Receives Push Mail From Yahoo
I have Outlook 2007 on a PC that I use for work. I do not use an exchange server. Rather, I receive my mail from Yahoo via push to Outlook 2007 on my PC. I have my iPhone set up using Yahoo. After I read my mail and delete the messages on my iPhone, I find that when I connect to my PC to sync, all the emails I deleted on my iPhone appear again on it. I can only assume that they are being brought back because the iPhone is getting them from Outlook 2007. I need to keep the emails on my PC in Outlook 2007 for future reference, but not on the iPhone. Is there any way I can still keep syncing my contacts and calendar with Outllook 2007 but keep the deleted email from appearing on my iPhone again?

PC Windows XP Outlook 2007Turning off SSL will help for incoming mail, but it will disable your ability to send email. At least, that is what happened to my sbcglobal.net account. SSL is required for outgoing mail. And for incoming mail, when I turned SSL off, I got a nasty email from AT&T that not using SSL was a big no-no. I have scoured the forums and all of the online sources I could find, and there does not appear to be a good fix. Has anyone called Apple Tech Support or AT&T about this issue? I assume that people have, and that Apple and AT&T have not provided a viable solution. Hopefully there will be a fix in a future update to Leopard. 10.5.2 didn't seem to fix the problem.

Any idea how I get fix my iphone so it will send e-mails from yahoo? It keeps saying username or password invalid. I can receive e-mails without any problem. I have tried deleting the account and reinstalling it, chek the username and password and they are correct. Went under outgoing server but it is grayed out and won't allow me to edit and add the optional username or password or anything in that section. Please help.
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again. -
I use since 1 year iTunes match. Do I get a mail from apple to renew my subscription or do I have to renew my subscription for my own? I don't know the exactly date from the end of lifetime?

Not getting e-mails from wireless cam in Windows 8 Mail App
Please forgive me if this is not being asked in the correct forum. I could not find another place that seemed to fit. Feel free to move it if necessary.
I have two Linksys Wireless IP Cameras. Both are configured to detection motion and send an e-mail with 5 pictures to my Live.com e-mail address.
This configuration has been working for over 1 year and works. To verify, I get e-mails from the both cameras when I use Internet Explorer and login to http:// mail.live.com with my live.com (aka Hotmail) email account.
I upgraded to Windows 8, logged on the very first time with my Microsoft Live account. From all appearances, it looks like the Windows 8 Mail App was configured to use my live.com e-mail account. There are message there that I see when I login via
Internet Explorer.
The problem is, I never ever get any of the emails that were sent from my Wireless Cameras in the Windows 8 Mail app.
If I sign in to my live.com email account via Internet Explorer those messages are there. As a test, while I was looking at one of my emails via Internet Explorer, I forwarded it to myself. That message with pictures and all did arrive in the Windows
8 Mail app.
So, does anyone have any ideas why the Windows 8 Mail app does not get the e-mails sent from my Wireless Cameras?

ErikNormally I do use IE to check my email. I want to use the new stuff. Note that the camera is stand alone and not connected to any computers. It is a wireless IP camera and is configured to send e-mail when it detects motion. Linksys
has told me that in general, the camera is compatible with Windows 8 but there are no drivers to plug it in directly to a computer with Window 8.
You stated that you suspect that the mail app does not support the function. I'm not sure what you mean by that. It is a mail application and should present me with any incoming e-mails to my account regardless of where they come from.
I know that the camera is working because I can see the message via IE in Windows 8 and in the Mail App on my Windows Phone 7.
So, if the Windows 8 Mail app does not support the function, why I can view one of the e-mails from my camera using IE in Windows 8 and then forward it to myself at the same e-mail address and then the forwarded message arrives with all the pictures
attached and is viewable in Windows 8 mail app.
I have also setup my camera to send e-mail to my work account. At work we have Exchange and I use Outlook 2010. I get the messages from the camera in that program without any problems.
I also get the message using the Windows Phone 7 Mail App.
I just can't understand why the Windows 8 mail app is ignoring or blocking message that are coming from my cameras. -
We use the Apple mail server to get e-mails from our gmail and comcast mail accounts. Recently we have been getting spam that claims to be sent to a gmail address, but when I check that address directly, there is no such e-mail, either in the inbox or in the spam folder. Is it possible to bypass the gmail account and send directly to the Apple mail server, spoofing the gmail address?

Select the Inbox.
Under Mailbox in the Menu bar select Rebuild (last option in list)
Note: If you delete a POP account in Mail, it will delete any messages in the Inbox. It does not delete your custom folders or your sent messages.
If the messages have been deleted and are no longer on the server, you can restore from Time Machine.

Are you accessing your Windoze Live account as a POP account or as an Exchange account with the iPhone's Mail app?
If as a POP account, received messages that are in the account's Inbox at the incoming mail server will be downloaded.
If you are accessing the account as an Exchange account, all server stored mailboxes will be available automatically when accessing the account with the iPhone's Mail app. If as an Exchange account, seems like you would want to have the account's junk mailbox available in case a legitimate message is incorrectly marked as junk and moved out of the account's Inbox mailbox. -

Your iPad cannot have 25 GB available, it could have 28 GB, are you sure you are not referring to your iCloud storage space.

You need an device (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) with iOS 5 if you want to use iCloud. Furthermore it is also not possible to open www.icloud.com with Safari on an iOS device.

If you're not using JDK 6, you need to include activation.jar in your CLASSPATH.
If you've got any other jar files that define the javax.mail.* or javax.activation.* classes
in your CLASSPATH (such as javaee.jar or j2ee.jar), remove them.
