I have a new OSX 27" iMac that is running Maverick.
RE: group emails, I am trying to omit individual recients and have tried the following options without success.
1) Mail- Composing- checked "Automatically- Bcc"
2) Mail- Composing- unchecked "when sending to a group, show all member addresses"
The result is that all names continue to show up with email addresses for group emails.
HELP! HELP! HELP!

So that e-mail will be triggered immediately.

Well, to understand your requirements can I ask this:
You said earlier you want a report sent whenever records that meet a criteria exist, correct? So you want the application to query for a condition, and when that condition occurs (a row with primary Key = X, a select COUNT(1) for rows with column X returns a result of 1 or more)
Then you would schedule a batch job:

I wish to send out an email to a "Group" in my Apple Contacts. I want the several recipients in the group to be unknown to each other, where their names and addresses are invisible – except myself, the creater of the email.
Does Apple 'Mail' and/or 'Contacts' allow for this?
And, by keeping the group invisable, will this prevent any one recipient from responding as a 'Reply All,' thereby still being able to respond to everyone in the otherwise invisible group?

How to send group email without additional APP
Just spent an hour on ichat. Long and short....can't send group email. The group name appears in the TO: line, but if you click on the group name, only the first email address is blue..the rest are black and will not get the email. We tired using the CC and BC lines...same result.
However here is one solution:
I sent one email with each of the group (we are only 9 ) in the TO: line. I included my primary email. When it came to the iphone, i moved it to one of the subfolders. (Each account you may have has a list of the inbox at the top and Account at the bottom. ... that is where you can access the subfolder)
I moved the email with all names to that subfolder. I can then, open it ...do a relpy to all and just change the message and subject line. It is cumbersome, but it does work. I really think Apple, a company committed to ease of use, needs to review this flaw. I suspect it may be a bandwidth economy .... and i feel the pain of the providers...but you did create the beast.
