TS3276 "mail" is blocked by multiple large attachments

My incoming and outgoing mail are blocked by past multiple large attachments, that did not go out.
They all appear now in 'recovered from yahoo' folder. Yahoo is my mail server. Connection to my mail server is OK.
When I clean or remove the 'recovered' folder, it reappears.

JOC1, welcome to Apple Discussions.
I assume the large file was an attachment to the email? Is the file locked?
Until a solution can be found, drag the message from the Sent Folder to the Junk Folder (or some other folder). Then see if you can erase the other sent messages.

  • Mail Sender Adapter with multiple sMIME attachments

    Hi!
    I 'm using XI 3.0 SP 15.
I have problems with my Mail-Sender-Adapter.
The mails, I fetch, contain a certificate and multiple xml-attachments. The xml's represent an IDOC-structure (INVOIC.INVOIC02).
The task is to first check the certificate, and then to send each of the XML attachments separately to an SAP-System.
    1) We have twelve partner which use this e-Invoicing interface. How do I administer the certificates and do I have to create for each partner a "Sendervereinbarung"?
    2)
The second problem is, that I have multiple payloads which have to be processed separately. How can this be done?
kind regards and thanks a lot for your help
    MArtin

As we have multiple xml-attachments, I guess we have a major problem anyway.
I guess Certificate verification in the sebder agreement is done after the Module Processing of the email-adapter isn't it?
Due to the multiple attachments we have to write a customer specific Module for the email-adapter anyway.
I guess the only way is that the module validates the certificate against the J2EE KeyStore and then extracts the various xml attachments to a file share.
A File sender adapter then polls the file share and the sender aggreement / receiver agreement /mapping ... process starts.
The only question is if the file adapter works also without a sender agreement, so that the xml's are stored on the file share
Do you have an idea, if this works? or do you see any alternatives?
    thanks alot for your help!!

  • TS3276 I am unable to send large attachments such as video or pictures. No problem when using windows 7. How can I send large attachments? Thanks, ..Sam

How can I send large attachments such as pictures or home videos?.....with windows 7 it asked me to send using Skydrive. I downloaded Skydrive and still no better........
    Thanks
    Sam

How big of a file you can send over an email, is not determined by Apple, but rather by your email service provider.  For example, if you have a Gmail email address, they let you send up to 25 MB of data
    http://support.google.com/mail/answer/8770?hl=en.
To find out how big of a file your email service provider will let you send, do a google search for "your email provider maximum file size".
If you need to send larger files, look into something like "Drop Box" -
    https://www.dropbox.com.

  • Mail hanging during send with large attachments

Have been having this problem off and on since upgrading to Lion.  When sending an email with a fairly large attachment (say, 6mb), Mail will just hang and never complete the send.  My only work around is to delete the message from my outbox, shut down Mail and then resend the message through another client.
My mail data is hosted by Rackspace on Exchange Server.  I can send the same message that hangs up in Mail via Rackspace's webmail app with no problem, so it's not a problem with my upload speed.  I can also avoid this problem by using Outlook as the client, but I'd really prefer to use Mail. It's as if Mail just loses contact with the server and keeps trying to reestablish.
Are there any known issues with Lion and Rackspace's Exchange hosing?

    Hi,
"embedded jpegs" is not good terminology. If the JPEGs are attachments, they are not embedded -- don't confuse embedded with View in Place, btw.
How large a JPEG have you been able to attach and sent? How is the computer connected -- wireless or via ethernet cable?

  • Mac Mail - IMAP setup - Large attachments are corrupt

Mac Mail - IMAP setup - Large attachments are corrupt
    Attachments open fine in webmail
    Mailbox rebuild does not help
Appears files over 500k are affected
    Multiple users affected
    Backend is GroupWise 7
So, I see several posts on this topic, with no solutions.... Is this a known issue according to Apple? If so, can some point me to the official release notes/ bug report??

I have the same problem. When I look at the message with Entourage, I found out that while under IMAP the attachment is not fully downloaded from the exchange server. Entourage gives you the choice to download this file. When I select, the file comes down and opens OK. I heard that some clients have a max size download setting for IMAP but Mac Mail does not. Anyone know how to get around this?

  • Limit in Mail on receiving large attachments?

Noticed someone else had a problem with receiving large attachments in Mail and my friend and I also have it now.
My question is if anyone knows of a limit to size for recieving attachments in Mail. I noticed that Apple has set a default 10 MB limit on their server versions and thought maybe this is so also in ordinary OS X Mail? If so -- how do I change this in OS X?
(It is really ridiculous that one should not be able to send a small 15 MB file with e-mail any longer -- it is not like we are all getting slower connections, less hard drive space and slower processors all the time, so why does things like this happen?)
Yes, I know the problem is not releated to ISPs, Mail Servers, Firewalls as I have tested for that in most respects. (No problem sending such a file nor downloading it via web mail, etc.) It could be related to IMAP and Apple Mail.
/Jerry (in Sweden where you cannot specify decimals on paper sizes under Mac OS X ... )

Yes, I know the problem is not releated to ISPs, Mail Servers,
Firewalls as I have tested for that in most respects.
Yes it is related since this is not a limitation or problem with the Mail.app or with any email client.
Most ISPs and email account providers have limits on overall message size for received and sent messages similar to the .Mac account message size limit for received and sent messages.
Your ISP or email account provider may not have such a limit (which is unusual) but the recipient's ISP or email account provider may impose a limit.
Have you checked with your ISP or email account provider for this account regarding a message size limit imposed for received and sent messages?
In case you aren't aware, message attachments must be encoded before being sent. The Mail.app uses MIME 1.0 for attachment encoding which is the internet standard. The pre-encoded size of the attachment is increased by 50% or so after the encoding process. A 15MB file will be roughly 22.5MB after the encoding process.
Check What is the maximum size of email attachments? for information on the attachment encoding process.

  • Mail 4.5 (1084) is not automatically downloading larger attachments.

Mail 4.5 (1084) is not automatically downloading larger attachments (i.e. a 2 MB file) without the user clicking on the SAVE button or the attachment icon (white square with down arrow).
    Before download:
The problem is that if the user accidentally deletes the message before downloading the attachment, and then views that message in the trash OR moves the message from the trash back to inbox, the attachment is lost and message appears garbled up.
This is not a problem if user clicks SAVE or clicks attachment icon itself before deleting it - message and attachment will be readable in trash and when restored to inbox.
    Question:
Is there a way to force Mail to download all attachment regardless of size without requiring user interaction?
    Thank you
    ig

Actually smaller attachments are downloaded automatically, or perhaps it depends on attachment type?
Try the same with say 2MB .PPT file .. email the file to yourself. It will come through as "click to download" icon (see image above). Trash the message (before SAVE or clicking on attachment), now try opening it in the trash or pulling it back to inbox and then open it. Attachment is gone and you get garbage - clearly extra data is there but is non-readable.
Not a big issue for a single user - potentially very big issue for an admin supporting large number of end-users, some of which are recent Outlook transplants.
Btw, I'm using IMAP server and I have enabled "Store deleted messages on the server"

  • How to reopen an e-mail address blocked after receiving a large file.

After receiving some quite large attachments on e-mail the regular sender was unable to get even small e-mails through. Is there a simple solution?

    >If they could actually save the filled in document that would be just as good because they could attach it to an e-mail
In Acrobat Pro, open the form and go to the Advanced menu and choose enable usage rights for Reader users.
Now, they will be able to fill out the form and save it to send it back to you in an email.
Be aware that there is a 500 use per form limit so this isn't a good answer for high volume use forms.

  • Sent Mail with Large Attachments

    Hello everyone,
I've noticed that emails I send from Mail on my Mac (which have larger attachments) don't go into my Sent folder.
There is no record of them being sent. However, I know they've been sent because I get replies to them.
Emails with no attachments or small attachments go into the Sent folder fine though.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks a lot....

  • Mail won't download messages with large attachments

    Mac OS 10.7.5
    Apple Mail 5.3 (1283)
When someone sends an email to me with an attachment of around 4 or 5 MB or larger (I haven’t quite figured out the size limit…it seems to vary a bit), Mail stops downloading all mail. I have to go into my webmail, remove the message with the attachment, and then all of a sudden Apple Mail will resume downloading e-mails from the server. Other computers in our office do not exhibit this behaviour, although they are using identical network, mail server (at Siteground, not managed by us), version of Mail, version of OS, etc.
When Mail exhibits this, I can ‘Get Info’ the account and I can see all the messages marked as from ‘Unknown sender’ and the e-mail sizes.
    How do I resolve this?

Try AttachedIn to send large attachments!
Very quick, easy to use and secured!

  • Mail only downloads headers of emails with large attachments

    Hi-
    I have Maverick.
My mail is delivered though an Exchange Server.
At present emails download fine UNLESS they have a large attachment.
If they have a large attachment, the email will appear in the central "preview" pane with the address of the sender and the subject line, but will otherwise not download.
The email will only start to download once I click on the email in the preview pane. This can be laborious if I have 50+ emails with large attachments.
How do I configure mail so that it will download the emails, irrespective of the size of the attachments.
    Thanks,
    Richard

I know that we can send email with attachment but how to add existing attachments to the email and send it to user.
    2) Can we enhance the standard embed component and add some standard fields under it?
Here below under the Account TI screen Activity tab ->E-Mail Section
I want to add the Category filed exist under the E-Mail Business object in this E-mail Section ( Account TI screen embed component )
anyone have idea how to achieve this requirements using SDK or front end.

For the emails with attachments: How to send an email with attachments in SAP Cloud Application Studio
For the other requirement, you need to identify wich screen is used in the section that you are referring, and see if you can add custom fields in this screen using extensibility explorer.

  • Javax.mail behaving strangely with large attachments

My application seems to have trouble sending large attachments on some POP3 and IMAP servers that appear to accept the same attachments from Outlook or Outlook express. Also some Exchange servers work and others do not. The error is "message is too big and cannot be appended". Is there anyone who might be able to point me to some docs that might help figure this out?

This may be a limitation to the size of the attachments your ISP will allow. Please check with your ISP first to see the maximum size attachment they will accomodate.
