TS3297 Cannot connect to iTunes error

I am trying to download an app onto my ipad but can't due to a "cannot connect to iTunes error." I have tried tried shutting down, resetting, changing the time back and then correcting and adjusting the DNS address.  I also do not have any uploads pending and my software is up-to-date.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you!

Apple appears to be having trouble with the iTunes Store servers right now. Wait for them to fix it.

  • Cannot connect to iTunes error comes up when I try and download a movie from iTunes.  What do I do?

I tired moving the date and time ahead by a few years.  I changed my DNS to 8.8.8.8 - nothing worked.  Any suggestions?

    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • "Cannot Connect to iTunes" Error iOS 6.0.1 Have tried everything! Got advice?

    I have iPhone 4S.
    Just updated to iOS 6.0.1.
I'm getting the very common "Cannot Connect to iTunes Store" error when I try to download anything in the App Store. I have tried EVERYTHING to resolve it and nothing works.
Here is what I have tried so far:
    1. Set Date&Time to 2013. Try App Store. Got error. Set Date&Time to auto again. DIDNT WORK.
    2. Set Date&Time to 2030. Try App Store. Got error. Set Date&Time to auto again. DIDNT WORK.
    3. Rebooted iPhone twice after resetting Date&Time. DIDNT WORK.
    4. Signed out of iTunes/Apple ID account. DIDNT WORK. Worse, now iTunes won't even acknowledge my account and wont let me sign back in! DIDNT WORK.
I have tried everything every one has said worked for them. Nothing works for me.
Does anyone have any suggestions before I throw the phone out the window? God help me, if I'm forced to go to Windows 8, I'll cry.

Heavens no ... Don't do it!
There are a bunch of users posting about this problem right now. One might assume that there is something "hinky" going on with the Apple servers. There is one other thing that you can try, that you haven't already mentioned ... Don't know if it will work ... You may just have to wait this out until Apple fixes it but ....
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
More than likely, it is an Apple glitch, but give it a try.

I have an Iphone 5 and it has loaded the new software but when it tries to connect to itunes it fails. Though I can acces itunes and the store.

All of Apple's servers...including the activation servers are pretty much flooded with users like you doing the same thing. Be patient and keep at it...or wait till the traffic to them has decreased and then try again.

  • Cannot connect to iTunes (Error -25294)

I am writing this because ever since I upgraded my titanium Powerbook G4 from OSX 10.2.8 to 10.4.1, I have been unable to access the iTunes Music Store. Every time I sign in, I get this message saying "iTunes could not connect to the music store. An unknown error occurred (-25294). Make sure your network connection is active and try again." I have tried to connect at home via dialup on airport extreme, and at school via LAN, but nothing works. Is this just a bug in Tiger that Apple is trying to fix? I would love to be able to buy new music again soon, so any suggestions as to how this can be fixed would be appreciated!

I followed the instructions for Keychain First Aid. Verification and Repair failed. Got a message that System/Library/Keychains/x509Anchors could not be found. WIth it, many applications will be unable to establish secure network connections.
Under Repair it said You will need to manually copy it from another machine or reinstall the system software.
Does this mean I need to reinstall Tiger? I suspect that whatever this problem is has also prevented me from accessing my bank, hotmail and other sites through Safari, since I keep getting the message that the computer can't establish a secure connection.
I can't find the other thing you talked about. In fact, I don't really even know what a keychain is.

  • When I try to search in the App store I get a "cannot connect to iTunes" error.

Everything else in the store works, i.e. top charts, updating apps, etc. It's not my internet because iTunes works on my phone via wifi and 3G. I have tried taking the iPad back to factory settings, resetting the iPad with an iCloud back up, tried using another network, tried setting the time a year ahead and reverting back, tried setting the DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and still wont work. Note: This is only when I try to search in iTunes.
Addition: iTunes wont let me search either. So App Store and iTunes wont let me search.

That is a know problem. See:

  • HELP! when I click on App Store from my desktop, I get an error message: "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". What does this mean?

After I get the abovemention error message, the only option I have is to click "OK". Doing that gives me a white blank screen with the only option to "Cancel". Clicking on that brings up an Update screen to update an app I never downloaded. What's going on? How do I get rid of this?

  • Itunes cannot connect to iTunes store error 306

Hi, I think I originally posted this on the wrong forum. So I will repost and hope for the best.
Up until recently I used to connect to the internet via airport and everything worked fine. I could connect to iTunes store no problem.
The connection was all set up by the local phone company and somehow they connected the iMac to airport via a modem.
I know that this appears to defeat the point of airport but it worked fine.
I had connection problems with the modem (it was old and needed replaced) that was attached to the airport and iMac. I arranged for the telephone company to come and replace the modem. However, although they replaced the modem and the internet connection is fine.
What they did not do was to reconnect the Airport device and now I cannot connect with iTunes store. Now instead of connecting to the internet via the Airport connection I now connect via Ethernet
The error message I get is
"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. An unknown error occured (306).
Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
I think that if someone could advise how I stop trying to connect to the iTunes store via Airport but via an Ethernet connection
iMac intel Mac OS X (10.6.6)

iTunes Store loads partially or returns "Error 306" or "Error 10054"
Proxies, parental control settings and software, security or filtering software, or a bad iTunes Store cache can cause this.
To address proxies, Remove Internet Options proxy settings  ( http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1490 ) and connect to the Internet without a proxy.
    To reset iTunes Store cache:
In iTunes, choose iTunes > Preferences (Mac) or Edit > Preferences (PC).
    Click the Advanced tab.
    Click the "Reset cache" button.
Click OK and see if the issue is resolved.
    Adjust Parental Controls in iTunes:
    Open iTunes.
    Access iTunes preferences:
On a Mac: From the iTunes menu, choose Preferences.
On a Windows PC: From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
    Click the Parental Controls tab.
    Remove restrictions on Parental Controls.
For more information on parental controls or content filtering software, see iTunes 10.5 for Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store.

  • HT1689 I keep getting the error: Cannot connect to ITunes Store. I recently updated the iOS on the ipad3. Have tried heaps of fixes as suggested in various threads. DNS, date and time, reset etc

I am a fairly new apple user, just got the new ipad, as part of an evaluation program. I recently did an iOS update and now keep getting the error message:cannot connect to iTunes Store... I tried date changing - no good ... The only thing that worked was to change the DNS setting to 0.0.0.0 as described in another thread. This fix for a day and now still getting the same error message and DNS setting changes do nothing. I have tried the reset method several times to no avail. I'm beginning tho think the ipad wasn't a great idea.... Apple need to attend to this. Like many, I have already wasted too much time looking for a fix. I am part of an IT in education group that will soon be recommending a specific hardware and OS. Could result in the loss of thousands of ipad sales for apple ....
Anyhow... All or any suggestions are welcome :)

Also, I've just learned that I can connect to download new apps, but cannot update any apps I've downloaded in the past. How might I go about connecting my reset apple ID with its history from before it was reset? I assume that is the biggest issue.
