TS3297 err-3235 failure to connect

Despite running all firewall checks and all internect connectivity checks multiple times, I am still having an issue with downdoaling movies from itunes with an err-3235 "network connection was reset" message appearing (never happened before).  I have completed ALL recomended (via support site) checks, and nothing seems to work.  Any sugestions?

Same here... Tried open DNS servers, flushing caches, etc.  No luck.  For me it only seems to be related to TV shows and movies.  I can download music just fine.

  • Debugger on Windows Vista - ORA-30683: Failure establishing connection to d

We can't get the debugger to work on our Vista machines... On our XP machines we don't have this problem, so I suspect it's a "Vista" issue.
The vista machine is a desktop running sql developer, connection to another machines (server's) database. XP machines connect and debug on that same database fine.
We get this error when debugging:
    Executing PL/SQL: CALL DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP.CONNECT_TCP('0.0.0.0', '4000')
ORA-30683: Failure establishing connection to debugger
    ORA-12541: TNS: no listener
    ORA-06512: at "SYS"."DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP", line 68
    we've tried:
    1) controlling the port on the SQL Developer preferences to be 4000, then making an exception on the firewall (on the vista machien) for that port
    2) making an exception for sql developerj.exe files
    3) Running it as an administrator
    no luck.
I do notice that on teh first line, it puts: CONNECT_TCP('0.0.0.0', '4000')
The zero's... on an xp machine, the IP: 127.0.0.0 would be there instead. Not sure if that's related to the problem.
Please help, we can't debug on our Vista machines until this is resolved.

Definitely. The database needs to be able to contact your PC, so '0.0.0.0' won't work.
Check Preferences - Debugger - Prompt for Debugger Host, initiate another debug session, and when prompted, give your IP instead. Once you had a successful debug session, I'm pretty sure you can uncheck the preference again.
    Have fun,
    K.

  • How to capture the exact SQL exception for failure to connect to database

Hi, i would like to capture the exact exception for failure to connect to a Oracle 9i database (via JDBC). I learnt that there is specific code or exception that can be captured, so that a more proper error message can be thrown out like "Failure to connect to database" can be displayed. Anyone know how to go about doing it? thanks

That depends on your database vendor, I believe. (Unless there's a SQL standard for states and codes that I'm unaware of.)
Personally, I wouldn't worry about "catching" a particular code. (You've already caught the exception - that's the best you can do.) I'd report the error code and state and just look up what it means when I got one.
Hopefully you won't be catching exceptions. They're supposed to be rare. - MOD

The database needs to be able to contact your PC, and I think your IP on the VPN is 172.20.34.16 rather than 130.174.12.111, correct?
If so, check Preferences - Debugger - Prompt for Debugger Host, initiate another debug session, and when prompted, give that IP instead. Once you had a successful debug session, I'm pretty sure you can uncheck the preference again.
If still no go, some firewall (PC or network) might be blocking the database from reaching your PC.
    Hope that helps,

  • Sharepoint 2013 Workflow manager setup SQL serverinstance "Failure in connecting to SQL Server"

    Hi Guys
im having issues with installing work flow manager.
this installation has gone ok, but when I'm in the configuration stage, and type in the SQL server instance, it returns with failure in connecting to SQL server.
this happens with SSL and with out SSL
I look forward to your responses
    Kindest regards
    Jack

Make sure that you have installed workflow manager updates on the server.
    Follow these two steps first:
    Add
WFSetup account (installer account) to SQL Server security group and give him
    SysAdmin permission.
Add WFSetup to Workflow server in machine
administrator group, so user can login as worklfow administrator.
Enter database machine name and test it.

Did you respond to the verification email from Apple by clicking the Verify Now link?  Make sure you are checking the email address you used to set up your iCloud account.  Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.  If it isn't there, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under your Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.

  • Failure - Cannot connect to Microsoft SQL Server on localhost

    Hi!
I have a sqlserver installation on localhost and I want to connect with sqldeveloper.
I fill connection name, username, password, hostname: localhost port: 1433
and then click on retrieve database.
I get the following error message: "Status: Failure - Cannot connect to Microsoft
    SQL Server on localhost"
I don't know the reason. I can use another connection to another ms sql server
and it's no problem, but can't connect to localhost.
I have special signs in my computername, for example a "-". Is this the problem?
    How can I solve it?
    Thank you
    Andreas

I am able to successfully connect to my local SQLEXPRESS instance using the following settings:
    Hostname: localhost
    Port: 1433/DBName;instance=SQLEXPRESS
Even though I use this to connect, I cannot open a tcp connection to port 1433 via telnet. I believe this goes hand in hand with specifying the instance. As I understand it, there are two ways to specify the port, one is directly, the other is through a named instance (another port is used as a service to look up the correct port). SQL Server 2005 appears to prefer named instances instead of specific ports. When "instance" is specified, the port can actually be any number, the driver apparently ignores it.
The Retrieve database (list) appears to be only for informational purposes. I have to specify the database in the Port field (DBName) regardless of what I have selected in this list.
    Hope this helps!
PS: Retrieve database will give that error until instance is specified in my case.

  • Smpatch analyze: Failure: Cannot connect to retrieve Database/current.zip:

I get the following error when I run smpatch analyze:
Failure: Cannot connect to retrieve Database/current.zip: Connection reset
I was successfully able to register the system, but keep getting this error with smpatch analyze. I snooped the traffic and saw packets to & from getupdates1.sun.com on port 443, so there is not a firewall problem.
Did I miss a step in the installation?
    Thanks

Looks like the root cause (to me at least) is confusion between the contracted support server and the public updates server. They appear not to be the same...
Since late September all my Sol 8 "smpatch" clients were broken, giving me "Response code was 500" because the LPS / Update Connection Proxy was set to https://getupdates1.sun.com/ which is apparently the public site. ( https://getupdates.sun.com/ didn't work either.)
My Solaris 10 clients were working fine through the LPS, however - or so I thought.
When I just noticed that the patchpro.patch.source on Solaris 8 with 124270-01 is showing https://updateserver.sun.com/solaris/ as the default, I tried that as the LPS patch source URL, and now everything works again - for the first time in weeks.
Disclaimer: We are a support contract customer, so I don't know if this info applies to everyone. My LPS has been registered (has "entitlement") since I set it up in February, so it was a complete surprise that Solaris 8 smpatch clients started failing even after I put 124270-01 on the client and 121118-08 on the Sol 10 LPS.
    Hope this helps...

But I don't really now from where to get the files: current.zip and detectors.jar

    #smpatch analyze

  • Failure establishing connection to debugger

    Hi all,
I'm using SQL developer 3.1.07 and I'm unable to use the debugger functionality. I've searched and found a number of other threads that relate to either VPN's or users putting the server address in the debugger host but I'm still unable to resolve the issue.
The difference here may be that I have virtualbox set up on my pc and have all the associated VM IP addresses set up.
Virtualbox is not running when I attempt this.
the message I'm getting is (IP address hashed out):
    Connecting to the database whitehat.
Executing PL/SQL: ALTER SESSION SET PLSQL_DEBUG=TRUE
    Executing PL/SQL: CALL DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP.CONNECT_TCP( '###.29.34.96', '65078' )
ORA-30683: failure establishing connection to debugger
    ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_DEBUG_JDWP", line 68
ORA-06512: at line 1The above address is the one chosen by SQL developer initially and is also the one shown in my sys_context('userenv','ip_address').
The database server itself is not on my PC, but is readily accessible on the network.
I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to proceed. any suggestions?

It might be a firewall issue; especially if you have been working with VM on that machine.
While you wait for one of the sql dev people to respond you may want to review this doc about 'Running and Debugging PL/SQL and Java Stored Procedures'.
This is from the Fusion Middleware doc for JDeveloper but sql developer is based on JDeveloper
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E16162_01/user.1112/e17455/dev_stored_proc.htm

29.3.2 How to Specify the Database Debugger Port
When the database debugger is running, for example to debug PL/SQL through a database connection, the ports used are randomly assigned. This can cause problems with firewalls, and to avoid them you can edit the ide.properties file to ensure that a specific port is used.
    To specify the port:
    If necessary, close JDeveloper.
In a text editor, open jdev_install/jdeveloper/jdev/system/oracle.jdeveloper.release_number/ide.properties.
    Type the following:
    DatabaseDebuggerPortOverride=port_number
where port_number is the port number you want the debugger to use.
Save ide.properties. When you restart JDeveloper, the port you specified will be used.
    >
The entire section at the link provides more information about establishing a debugger connection if you haven't done that before on any machine.

  • 2.5 Problems - SOUND and FAILURE to Connect to Email and Weather

Hello, The upgrade didn't make a difference - the Sound on my iPhone is WAY too low. I cannot use it in a city, period. (must use a headset - I've never had a cellphone that required a headset in moderate noise atmospheres). The Speakerphone is profoundly weak - it may as well not exist. Literally it sounds like a regular cell phone NOT on speaker but turned up 3/4 volume. I had several cell phones that were naturally loud like that. I sure miss that feature.
What is the DEFINITIVE solution for this? I've been away and reckon there MUST be a Famous Apple Solution by now?
MAIL CONNECT FAILURE - most often at Home (NO Cell signal; Wireless signal from Linksys access point) but very often wherever I am, when I click the mail button, NOTHING happens except the status says 'connecting' for a while then stops and the notes read 'last updated [3 hours ago]' That is, last updated 'time' from my LAST successful email update several hours ago, but NOT from any current download. I shut down, try again - nothing seems to work and the Mail will act this way in what seems an arbitrary amount of time/failures (sometimes overnight) then it will behave as designed - connect and download when I click on Mail button.
The SAME THING (periodic, arbitrary Failure to Connect) happens with the Weather, except with the Weather the status reads 'updating...' for a bit, then states 'update failed'. Remember, this happens at home (WiFi) AND when I'm in Public (EDGE AND WiFi) and is seemingly arbitrary. (I'm pretty sure it happens with Stocks as well, but I'm not trying as often...)

was there an update today?? why mine showed check update 11/02/07... whats the update version?? and how come nobody post a shout that there was an update today??
There was no update on 10/26 nor has there been any update for a number of weeks.
My check update currently says 11/1/07 but that merely means that iTunes will automatically check on that date. It does not indicate that there will be an update.
You can always check by manually depressing the 'Check for Update' button on the iTunes info page. That will tell you whether your current firmware is the most recent version and what the version number is.

  • Failure to connect to backend system in Portal

    Hi Experts,
I was hoping someone could help, quickly!!
We are having an issue with transporting our VC model.  We are on VC 7.0 SP17
I created a model in our development environment using a variable input form and adding the value help feature.  After we deploy in our dev environment the model looks perfect!!!
We transported the VC model as an iview through the portal and we get a Failure to connect to back end system error.  We ruled out that it is not a transport problem using the portal.
    Can someone help!!
    Thanks so much, Anna

    Hi Again,
Thanks for both of your response, however, there is nothing in the log files andt we still have the Application error message, failure to connect to backend system.
We were able to bypass the error and the model starts to "semi-function" - but we cannot access the characteristic through value help, we just get empty drop downs.   We all have the proper authorization in BI....
Do you think there is a permission problem in the back end portal?
    Hopefully you can help.
    Thanks so much, Anna
