No this was absolutely of no help what so ever!!!!1I have had this issue before and it was also a nightmare. I don't understand why you have to go thru so much pain until you can talk to a real person. I don't have 48 hours. I use this app to make money. I can't update it, so I can't use it, all because I can't update my info, which is clearly on the Apple side. Not my bank (like they first want to say), not me, I know who I am, but it must be something on apple's side. And to wait 48 hours for an email response to tragic . I can't believe a company with as much assets as Apple can't get a real person to help me sort this out. I had this same problem years ago, and it was the same mess. Whay do I keep doing this? How do I contact apple support to set up my credit card information? I received a email that my account was changed and it wasn't me so I reset my password and attempted to enter my credit card info for my account. It kept saying account not verified and now it won't let me do anything and says contact apple support. How do I do that?

Trying to set download apps...says it needs my credit card info...I put it in....but then it won't take it because it says I need to enter my zip code. I live in Canada and have a postal code, not a zip code. Help

I am trying to set up my new Iphone 4 and download apps. I made an Apple Id which is all good. But when I try and enter in my credit card info it keeps asking for my Zip code and state. I live in Canada not US. I changed the phone to Canadian but it still keeps asking for it and won't let me put in my right information which in turn won't let me download any apps. Can anyone help?

Postal & Zip codes are same. Just enter postal code without space. It will accept.

If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why it's being declined : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

I did not authorize 2 in app purchases and because my credit card is at its limit, and i dont know how to reverse the in app purchases, i cannot update any app or do just about anything in the appstore or itunes store. I paid for apps, i demand my updates

You don't need to set up iTS account for Apple TV, unless you rant to watch movies at iTS's rip-off prices. I suggest just get a cheap subscription to Netflix instead.
If you insist, check with iTS.

If you want to download a non-free item then you will either need a payment method - so you will either need to enter the credit card's details, or buy iTunes gift cards (if they are available in your country), either way you will need a method of payment.

I think I had a similar problem the other day. I purchased an app with a cc that had been canceled by my bank with out me knowing it had been. Once I realized the cc was no longet active I added an itunes giftcard thinking that would allow me to purchase items. Well everytime I tried to ourchase somrthing with the new gift card it kept telling me that I had no funds. So someone in the apple store told me that until the app purchase with the old expired cc cleared on that cc then i would not be able to use any other form of payment. So I had to call my bank and asked them to reactivate my old cc for a couple seconds while I repurchased the app with my bank on the phone. Once that purchae cleared then it allowed me to use apple gift cards. Sorry for long answer but I think this might help you.
