TS3297 Why can I not purchase movies from iTunes?

I have tried on all of my devices to purchase a movie and a box pops up that says:
Your Purchase Could Not Be Completed
For assistance, contact iTunes Support at www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww/.
I have checked to make sure my account and software is up to date but this box pops up on the apple tv, ipad, ipod and mac. I have also followed the link and it does not give me an answer. Help!!
Oh! I am able to purchase music.

    O.K. Everything seems to be in order now!
    I don't know what happened but this is the results....
    After attempting to edit change the information on my iTunesMS account at least 7 times, I posted the above question, logged out of iTunes, closed down all my apps and turned off my computer.
    A few hours later, I thought I would give it one more try and when I turned on iTunes, went to the Music Store and then 'reviewed' my account... it had my old American address on it with the country listed as Sweden... I just left it alone, as it didn't have my credit card info listed at all... Curiously, I'm clueless about that (though I did send this same complaint to Apple during the first posting... did that have anything to do with it?) When I clicked the continue button (without changing any info) it prompted me that I was finished setting up my iTunes Music Store account and I was immediately able to download some songs....(using the iTunes Music card--- I have not tried my MasterCard!)
    So basically, I did nothing except close iTunes, turn off my computer and later rebooted it and opened iTunes! Strange... does that seem like a fix or what?

    I've had my apple tv for a while now, but have never actually purchased anything from the itunes store directly from the device. A friend recommended "Sleepless in Seattle" to me, and since it's not in Netflix or On Demand, I decided to buy it from itunes.
    In doing a search in the Movies section of my Apple TV and typing in "Sleepl", I got no results. Bummed, I went onto Amazon to see how much the DVD would cost. On a whim, I opened itunes on my computer and did a search for the movie. To my shock, it is available for purchase on itunes for $9.99!
    Once I found this out, I went back to my Apple TV and searched again. The movie still didn't appear to exist. I noticed then that every movie on the apple tv only gave me the option of renting, not buying. I was going to purchase from my computer, but then thought better of it because I wasn't sure it would be made available for me to watch on the apple tv.
    Is there something wrong with my system? Why can't I buy movies from the device? I can buy tv shows, so it just seems weird to me that this is limited to the movies!

    That profile was written in 2007 and never updated. Unlike you, I don't live on this forum. I have one 5 year old Dell gathering dust, waiting for the trash that has some kids software on it my kids never use.
    Currently I own a 27 inch iMac, and a 21 inch iMac used by my wife. I just sold my MacBook Air, which replaced my MacBook Pro of two years ago. I have an AppleTV v2, and unfortunately gave my AppleTV v1 to a friend before I realized they stripped out the movie purchase feature. We also own an iPad, two iPhones, and 4 iPods, two of which are used as digital music storage for our cars.
    So yes, all of my factual posts concerning Apple's shocking decision to try to hide the fact they removed significant functionality from AppleTV when they revved it, are just driven by the fact that 4 years ago I used almost no apple products. Apparently I harbor a twisted desire to hurt the company that provides me almost all of my technology of choice today, despite being an early software developer for the Mac, helping start two Macinotosh software companies in the 1980s and 1990s, and working at Apple for 2 years in the early 90s.
    The truth is, Apple's products weren't so good 15 years ago so I gradually switched to Windows for professional reasons. About 4 years go I bought an iPhone, and started to wake up to the fact that Apple had done a tremendous job moving the Mac platform to the intel architecture, and was very happy to replace my crappy dells with Apple products.
    But that doesn't mean I wear blinders when their product teams and marketing department makes mistakes, or does something deceptive.

    You can ONLY buy from the itunes store of the country of your residence ( proven by the billing address on your credit card) and ONLY while inside the borders of that country.

    I am having problems purchasing anything from I tunes.  I KNOW I have the correct ID and password. However, I tunes will not let me purchase anything.  I log into I tunes and it will show my user ID as logged in, but won't let purchase anything when I try to do so.  I tunes prompts me to verify my billing information, but first I have to re-enter my password.  This is an endless loop. I will enter the correct PW and Apple ID and it will not say the password is wrong, just says verify billing information, and to re-enter the password again.  Any ideas Why? Thanks in advance

  • Can't see purchased movies from itunes on iPad

    I can't see the movies I purchased on my iPad. I sync them from itunes. They are on the ipad based on the hard drive space used. But when I tap the ipod icon, I can't see movies or video on the bottom of screen or on the left hand side that would point to the movies.
    Any help?

    Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button at the top of the iPad until the red slider appears, then slide to the right to power off the iPad. That will put the movies on your iPad. Open the Videos app and you are good to go.

    Earlier this year I moved from the U.S.A. to Sweden... changing my 'Mac.com' account address while doing so.
    Last week, I tried to purchase some songs from the iTunes Music Store with my American MasterCard (a debit card) which is listed with my Swedish address at my U.S. bank. As I had never purchased at the iTunes M.Store before I was instructed to 'review my account'... which I did. It had my present Sweden address and my Mastercard listed as method of payment. Upon submitting the form, it was rejected, saying that my MasterCard was 'invalid for Sweden'! So I then go to the Apple-Sweden Store and purchase an iTunes Music Card which I receive in the mail the following day. Now I follow the Apple advice posted for purchasing music by redeeming an iTunes Music Card without listing a credit card (http://www.apple.com/se/support/itunes/store/giftcard/#GCA)... except there is no selection for NONE as indicated in these instructions.... So once again when I submit the form it is rejected, meaning that this time I have already spent money for the iTunes Music Card that is now worthless to me!
    Is there another way I can redeem this card without going through that 'review account' window...?
    I don't care to set up another account by setting up another e-mail address just to do this... as I want all of the Apple business to go through my Mac.com account as it should be configured to do so!

Whe i supply this information AGAIN, i get directed to a page that ask me 2 security questions. I do not know the answers to the questions, because i have never set up any security questions for purchasing tunes fron the store. I have had no similar problems in the past, at least not until this latest itunes store upgrade.

    I have a Dutch account and I cannot find any movies to be downloaded in iTunes, although the Dutch support site says I can choose from a variety of movies...?

    Sorry, but Apple apparently has not been able to obtain the rights to sell movies in the Dutch iTunes Store, so they will not be available to you. If or when that will change, no one here can say.
    I don't read Dutch so I can't confirm what the Apple support pages say, but if they are specific to the Netherlands (many support pages are generic, so there may be a disclaimer somewhere on the page) and do indeed say that you can buy movies, that information is incorrect.

  • Why can't I purchase items from iTunes or iBooks on my first generation ipad

    I have the current update available for my iPad. I have started to notice that it will not let me install new apps. I have only been selecting apps that work with 5.0.1 but I can't get new apps or even add books to my iPad.
    I have purchased books on my iPhone which used to sync certain apps but that doesn't work any longer.
    Yes the iPad is an older model but it should still be functional for apps and books that have the ability to be used on 5.0.1 or 5.1.1.

    Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
    Try signing out and then back in to your AppleID (SEttings App > iTunes&App Store).

  • HT1349 I have a laptop computer with Windows 7, powered intel core i7. I am trying to download a  purchased movie from ITunes. I am on wifi g.  Why is it taking 17 hours to download a simple movie? This is nuts!

    Question:  Why when downloading a purchased movie from ITunes does it take 8 to 17 hours to download?  I have an HP Laptop with Windows 7 using a core processer i7.  This is the second day to try to get the movie downloaded and I still cannot watch this movie.  Seems like a problem with ITunes or a scam. I use a IPhone 4 with little issues, But when using this lap top -- it is a joke.

    First thing to do is get the CC off your system.  Then try the direct download option linked below...
