TS3320 Try Firefox/Mozilla browser

I had the same issue when trying to access a sub page of finance.yahoo.com and found that many others had a similar issue with too many redirects.  It appears as "Error 310: Too Many Redirects"
The solution I found via a Firefox support page:
Open a Firefox browser
Click on the orange Firefox icon on the upper left corner of the browser and select Options>Options, then click on the "General" Tab.  Then check the box "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page."
This selection worked for me.  Hope this helps.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Some security software has virtualization features that may cause problems by protecting files in the Firefox program folder.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
*C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
*Firefox 16.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

When I start mozilla firefox web browser, sometimes I see a message saying that "a Mozilla Firefox is already running, please close it or restart your system". As a matter of fact, there is no firefox browser running at that time. Since I cannot do anything about it, I have to restart my computer before I can use the web browser, which bothers me dearly. What is the problem?

Plug-in and tasks started by Firefox may continue after attempting to close Firefox. The "X" in the upper right-hand corner closes the Window (same as Ctrl+Shift+W) but even if it is the last Firefox window, it does not necessarily close Firefox .
The only proper way to exit Firefox is to use Exit through the File menu, not the "X" in the upper right corner of last Firefox window.

• I want to get a phone number to directly call Mozilla Firefox and I also want to enable the Norton Search in my Mozilla Firefox web browser like it's enabled in

I want to enable the Norton Search in my Mozilla Firefox Web Browser just like it is enabled in my default Internet Browser of Google Chrome right now today!!!!

Hello,
We do not have a phone # for technical support unfortunately. There are issues with Norton Toolbar causing Firefox to crash; This has been fixed in the 2013 version of Norton but not in 2012 yet. If you have 2013, it would be easier to contact Norton as they have a better understanding of how to guide you.

Phoenix and Firebird were what Firefox was called before Firefox was settled on in 2004, and both used "birds" as the logo. IIRC, the dinosaur was used in the Mozilla Suite.
Here are the earliest versions of the Mozilla Suite. <br />

I hope this request for a historical purposes of where Mozilla came from, because those old versions aren't safe to use on the internet any longer.

• When I launch Firefox/Mozilla it comes u; with a Yahoo Search window. My older Firefox versions opened with MyEarthlink as my start page. Even designating Mozilla as my default browser still brings up Yahoo. What gives?

Downloaded 3.6 and when I clicked on Mozilla icon, it loaded with Yahoo Search page and not as my previous Mozilla browser. To get to Earthlink, I have to type the URL in the Yahoo search window; same with any other URL. Before, I had a URL window above the browser page. Both the 3.6 and now 4 beta are painfully different.
Running Win2000 SP4.

• Hi - My Mozilla Browser is preventing me from fropping and adding stocks in the BigCharts platform. Any Suggestions?

I simply use BigCharts.com to track stock quotes and for years everything worked great. Now I am not able to add or delete stock symbols rendering the function somewhat useless. This only happens in the Mozilla browser, which I prefer over Explorer, which does not have this problem. Please advise on how to fix.

Hi,
You can try to update Firefox and check: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
If the problem persists please also try to Reset Firefox.
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

• I have an audio problem when ever I use my Firefox web browser that makes a sharp audible sound simiular to a video game gun shot sound effect when ever I go into a new web page?

I have an audio problem that when ever I use my Firefox web browser it makes a sharp audible sound similar to a video game gun shot sound effect when ever I go into a new web page? I change to a new site or page a page on a site, I get an audible gunshot ping trpe sound? It happens almost every time. Its very annoying and is driving me nuts???
Any body out there had this happen also or know how to diagnose and fix this type of problem? I would hate to have to delete my whole Firefox program and have to start over again. If that is the case I will probably just scrap it and go on to try Google Chrome instead. I already have GC partially set up. I really have liked Firefox up to this point. I know add ons can cause problems at times but I haven't added anything new lately and this just started happening?

Hi,

Safe mode disables the installed Extensions, and themes (Appearance) in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons. Hardware acceleration is also temporarily disabled - the manual setting is Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Use hardware acceleration when available. • "Use Firefox Web Browser (default)" instead of trying to render a page starts FF again

Expected behaviour: Firefox actually trying to open a document.
What happens: Firefox, as the default option, re-feeds a document to itself in a roundabout way that leads only to repeating the same choice. If "Do this automatically..." box is checked, this causes spamming tabs or windows recursively. Which certainly constitues a bug.
Happens e.g. when trying to open HTML pages that have ".asp" extension due to being saved with original server filenames. Which also is the easiest way to reproduce this bug. Same files renamed or hardlinked as "*.asp.html" open normally, thus it happens only due to "Open with: Use Firefox Web Browser (default)" choice not working correctly. I didn't find addons to circumvent this, either.
Version: 26.0 (Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0) - but a web search shows that the same happened 10 years ago and under Windows.

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item:<br>
<br><br>
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode <br>(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
Thank you.

• Firefox opens all adobe files with firefox web browser. I disabled add-on, but it still does it. How can i disable this feature?

All adobe files now automatically open in firefox web browser, even when opening them from widows explorer. I want all adobe files to be opened in adobe reader as a default. Yet I disable the plugin Adobe Acrobat 11.0.9.29 and it still does this. I can't use firefox this way.

When you open a PDF file that you saved to your computer, by double-clicking the file, does it open with Adobe Reader or with Firefox?
If the PDF file opens with Adobe Reader then follow the instructions in How to disable the built-in PDF viewer and use another viewer to set Adobe Reader as the application for Portable Document Format (PDF) in your Firefox Options for Applications.
If the PDF file opens in Firefox when you open it from your hard drive, even though you have Firefox 33 installed, try uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox:
#Download the latest Firefox version (currently 33.1.1) from mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#*Note: You can use this link for the online (stub) installer or choose the full installer for your operating system and language from this page.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (or open the Firefox menu and click the Exit button ).
#Uninstall Firefox from your computer.
#Reinstall Firefox using the setup file you downloaded before.
<b>WARNING:</b> Do not use a third party uninstaller as part of this process. Doing so could permanently delete your Firefox profile data.
