  • How to change the maximum frame rate of the camera by changing the image size?

I have two  acA2040-180km cameras which are connected to 2 NI PCIe-1433 framegrabbers, I am monitoring my cameras by LabView, maximum allowable frame rate is about 187 for full resolution images, but I just need a small fraction of the images, I know if I make the images smaller, FPS will get higher, but it isn't possible by changing the image size in NI MAX, I've also tried to change the size by defining the region of interest in the grab setup.vi, but it would be after going to camera so it isn't the case as well, so I need a VI to go to the camera before starting to take photo and define the region of interest which is going to be captured, would you please help me to find it?
Please help me, this problem get me stuck!!!

Have you tried changing the image size using property nodes as Bruce suggested? Do remember with Basler cameras, reducing the width only will not affect the transfer speed but the reducing the height will. Have a look at the frame calculator to understand what you frame rates you can acheive with certain settings:

  • In A2500, how to change the Image Size?

I have an A2500 camera.  The images are great, but they're huge (1.5mb each) and fill up my memory card way too quickly.  How can I use the camera's menu settings so images are stored in a smaller size?

    Hi TravelMark!
    Thanks for posting!
To change the image size, please press the <FUNC/SET> button. select the [L], then change that to [M1] or [M2].

  • How do I change the image size by pixels

In the older version of photoshop you could change the image size and change it by pixels independently. With photoshopcc if I change the width the height changes. How do you change the 2 values independently to get the desired size?

You'll want to use the Camera icon to upload your screenshot images when you reply.
But jml007 has the answer I think you want. Change the units from inches to pixels and click on the chain link to turn it off and enter your W H values independently.
Mark his answer as correct if this solves your issue.

  • How do you change the image size and resolution in photoshop everytime I change the width the height changes my measurements will not stay

Can someone assist me with changing image size and resolution.  each time I change the width the height changes and vice/versa?

There's a chain link between width and height. The point is to keep the aspect ratio the same, otherwise your picture would get stretched.
You click on the chain-link to shut that off and you can adjust width and height separately.
Also could you give us your version of Photoshop, what OS you are running it on (Windows 7 for example) and what exactly you want to do with your document?
Resolution is the print term for how many pixels will be printed on an inch of paper. It doesn't apply if your image is intended for screen viewing.

  • Photo Stream Image Size to iPad

Is there a way to set the image size dementions that are uploaded via Photo Stream to iPad?

The image size is determined automatic. See iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
What resolution are My Photo Stream photos?
On your Mac or PC, your photos are downloaded and stored in full resolution. On your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV, your Photo Stream photos are delivered in a device-optimized resolution that speeds downloads and saves storage space. While actual dimensions will vary, an optimized version of a photo taken by a standard point-and-shoot camera will have a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution when pushed to your devices. Panoramic photos can be up to 50 pixels wide.

  • How do I change the image size in Save for Web?

I just upgraded to Illustrator CS6 on a PC.  I try to save my graphic in Save for Web and want to alter the image size, but it won't change,  it just goes back to the original size.  If I change the percentage box, the values change.  I have tried linking and unlinking the proportions and nothing.  What am I missing??  I don't have time to guess the percentage to get to the exact width I need.

Make changes in the Image Size section of the Save for Web. Input new values in Width and press Tab key to move to Height field. Click on the Link icon to unconstrain proportions. As you press the Tab key again to go out of focus of the Width and height boxes, you will see the changes reflect inside the Save for Web window. If this doesn't work then make sure you have updated Ai to 16.0.1 or 16.1.0 depending on the type of installation (from Disc or from Creative cloud) respectively.

  • Problems saving changes in image size

I have some digital files that I need to resize for printing. Most need to be sized to print full-frame on 8.5 by 11 inch sheets of paper, while the others need to be full-frame on 5 by 7 paper.
I'm using a trial version of PS Elements. I call up the image in Elements, then click on "Image," select "Resize" and then "Image Size."
Then under "Document Size" I put in the width and height I want in inches, make sure the Resolution's at least 300 and click "OK." Then I click on "File," then "Save As," and click "Save." When the "JPEG Options" box comes up, I click on "OK." But later, when I call the file up again, the changes I thought I'd made aren't saved. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Did you check "Constrain proportions" and "Resample Image"?
Since you want to arrive at 8.5x11" and 5x7" you will need to crop to these dimensions, since the aspect ratios are not the same.
Try the crop tool. Enter height, width, and resolution on the tool's option bar.

  • I am still having problems understanding changes in image size

    Howdy
I hope someone can help me. I have an old record album (one that has never come out on CD). I recently recorded the album over to a CD recorder. Okay great, I now have the CD. Years ago I gave a copy of the LP to my brother. I want to give him a copy of the CD with the album cover as artwork. Okay I have a commercial scanner at my place of work so I can scan the album cover which is roughly 12 inches by 12 inches. I scanned it at 200 dpi. So I end up with this large image. CD covers are around 4 3/4 inches. I played around with the image using another program and thought I'd changed it to this size but it never worked out right. Now I have been trying to play around with the image in Adobe and just can't quite understand this. To try to understand this better I actually scanned a cd cover at 200 dpi and then opened this image in adobe. The size of the image says its 4 3/4 by 4 3/4 but it doesn't look like it would printout that way. It looks like it would print out much larger. I saw somewhere in this forum that adobe is set to something like 72 ppi and I think I sort of understand that but I guess what I need help with is the process by which I convert an image of the album cover which is roughly 12x12 to be 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 without losing too much resolution quality. Can someone walk me through this? I guess I don't understand how to resize the larger image to 4 3/4 by 4 3/4 inches so that it actually prints out at that size. This is driving me crazy!! Thanks.
    Joe

    Joe,
Try not to get too bogged down different resolutions - not least because monitors display images at a different resolution to printers.
The good news is that you have a scanned image that is larger than you require which means downsizing it is doing to be easier.
Go to the 'Image' menu, select the 'Resize' option, select 'Image Size' from the sub-menu.
A dialogue box should appear on screen. At the top is a section entitled 'Pixel Dimensions'. No need to worry about these, but for a 12" x 12" image at 200ppi, the measurments on my screen show an overall file size of 16.5 MB with the width and height each showing 2400 pixels.
Focus on the section below it entitled 'Document Size'. Hopefully it displays the sizes you have mentioned: 12" wide, 12" high, 200 PPI resolution.
Firstly, click in the box where the units of measurement are given and change them to 'cm' (CDs are 12 centimetres square unlike their predecessor LPs that were 12 inches square). The corresponding values in the sizes will change automatically to reflect your new choice of measurement. On my screen, where it did show 12 inches, it now shows 30.48 cm. Click on the figure alongside width and change this to 12. If the 'Constrain Proportions' option is ticked, the height will change automatically too. You'll notice that the resolution increases automatically from 200 to 508. Just click OK and your image size has been changed.

  • Question:  How can I change still image sizes in Program Monitor

All of a sudden, when I create a new title, it saves it as 1920 x 1080.  But my video is only 720 x 480.  I had hoped it was just the view in the Program monitor, but I saved the project, exported it and viewed it, and sure enough, my full page titles fill the entire screen, but my video is a tiny box in the middle of it.  I have tried to change the titles properties but can't figure out how.  I then changed the export size to 720 x 480, but it didn't help.

Correct your sequence settings or create a new sequence with the correct settings and import your existing sequence into it.

  • App image size on Ipad?

    Hi All,
I'm having an issue with few apps which were mentioned as configured for IPad as well as other devices, but that are now showing in the IPhone apps only. after installation, the apps run, but the picture is a quarter of the IPad screen size.
Is there any set up for this, or have I purchased wrongly (which would be very upsetting)?
    Thanks in advance,
    roby

Try Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and turn this OFF
    From the iPad User Guide
Zoom Many apps let you zoom in or out on specific items. For example, you can double-tap or pinch to expand webpage columns in Safari. But, there’s also a Zoom accessibility feature that lets you magnify the entire screen of any app you’re using. And, you can use Zoom together with VoiceOver.
Turn Zoom on or off: Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom. Or, use Triple-click Home. See Triple-click Home on page 105.
Zoom in or out: Double-tap the screen with three fingers.
Vary the magnification: With three fingers, tap and drag up or down. The tap-and-drag gesture is similar to a double-tap, except you don’t lift your fingers on the second tap—instead, drag your fingers on the screen. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger. iPad returns to the adjusted magnification when you zoom out and in again using the three-finger double-tap.
Pan around the screen: While zoomed in, drag the screen with three fingers. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger so that you can see more of the screen. Or, hold a single finger near the edge of the display to pan to that side. Move your finger closer to the edge to pan more quickly. When you open a new screen, Zoom goes to the top-middle of the screen.
While using Zoom with an Apple Wireless Keyboard, the screen image follows the insertion point, keeping it in the center of the display. See Apple Wireless Keyboard on page 25.

  • What is the proper image size for ipad

    Hi all,
I'm having trouble with photos on my ipad.
First let me ask, What is the best size and dpi to display images?
When I put a white stroke around the images i uploaded the stroke does not show on the right side of the images. So I created a white border using the "canvas size" tool in photoshop and still no border on the right side.
    Any help will be appreciated,
    Richard

If you sync your photos with iTunes it will optimize them. Just place your photos at the full resolution in your folder (on your computer) that you are syncing and iTunes will take care of the size. My photos are all around 4000x3000 and they get reduced to 2048 on the long side. This allows you to zoom into the photo on the iPad (double tab a photo). But again, iTunes does all that for you. Just use them at full resolution.
If you want to save space you can resize your photos to 1024 on the long side. I recommend to crop your photos at a 4x3 ratio to match the iPad screen. The DPI setting are meaningless. DPI is an arbitrary definition and has no effect on how the iPad shows your files.

  • Changing Desktop Image Size

I used to be able to choose whether or not a desktop image would be kept the same size, stretch to fit the screen, or tile to fill the screen...but now I don't have that option.
I'd like to use a solid background colour, but they're 1x1 images, and don't even show up.
    How do I fix this?

By dragging the file "user/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist" to the trash, I was able to resize my desktop images.

  • Unwanted image size change when moving a image it's Tab to another Tab in CC 2014

Hi, I opened a photo with a physical size 16"w 36"h. Since role paper comes in 24" width, I proceeded with expanding the canvas size to 24"w, height is unchanged at 36". Then I opened two photos in separate tabs in Photoshop, changed the image sizes to 8"w x 12"h. One Photo is from a 36megapixel camera and the other from a 16megapixel camera. Created two layers in the 24x36 image tab. Then I proceeded to copy each photo and paste in each of those layers (one image per layer in case you’re wondering). The problem is as follows, the copied images are larger when pasted into those layers, 10” wide and not 8”, 14”high and not 12”. Thinking maybe the canvas size had something to do with this, so I made that change. The result was the same, larger when pasted into those layers, 10” wide and not 8”, 14”high and not 12”. Could someone please advise what I’ve done wrong? Note, the ruler bars are visible. Thanks

When you bring one image into another, it is the pixel size that counts.  The physical size of the source image becomes irrelevant.

Here's the scoop: I open a PS file. I chose 'Save As' but uncheck 'Show Layers' in the dialog box. So now it's essentially a 'Save A Copy'. When the new file is saved the original file is written to (although nothing changed) and now has the same mod
