• Receiving notifications for missed FaceTime calls

For the past several weeks I have been receiving notifications for missed FaceTime calls on my iOS devices that were never actually placed by the other party.
I talk to this other person using FaceTime on a regular basis, but ..
my iOS devices or my Mac never give me an indication on an incoming call
the other person never actually places a call at that time
I usually find out a few minutes later when checking my iPhone that there was a missed FaceTime Audio call (always Audio calls). I iMessage the person back and get told they never tried calling at that specific time.
By now I advised them to change their iCloud password ('cause I'm paranoid), which they did, but it still keeps happening.
Is this some kind of glitch with FaceTime/iOS? Anyone else experiencing the same issue?
All my devices run the latest software updates <iOS 8.1.3(12B466) on an iPhone 5s>.
Regards,
Tom

I am having this same issue. I have noticed that the "missed facetime audio" occurs at the same time that I receive any regular cell call.

• My iPod touch 5g won't displayed missed FaceTime calls or even the number above the app please help?!?!

When someone facetimes me if I miss their call it does not show up in lock screen or number missed above the FaceTime app. I have everything turned on for the previews and show in lock screen and recently missed items is 10.

The standard fixes:
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

• FaceTime buttons not appearing on iPad mini

sometimes the facetime time buttons do not appear so I cannot end a call or reverse camera. How do you fix this

Try to reset your network settings (make note of the current settings to revert back to)
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
Afterwards, restore your settings manually and reconfigure your FaceTime and iMessage settings as well as all other network related settings.
There seems to some issues with iMessage/FaceTime when moving between timezones and setting the date/time manually to your specific area should usually clear it up (from what I've read). That being said (and if you've already tried the date/time trick), try to reset your network settings.

• FaceTime calls not received when iPad sleep

FaceTime does not wake my iPad when it rings. The ringer works fine when I'm using the iPad and it's awake. It just seems to me that I shouldn't have to call/text a person to ask them to make sure their iPad is awake so they're able to receive my call. Shouldn't the call just go through to the other iPad similar to a cell phone? I, my brothers and best friend all recently purchased iPad's and we all have the same issue.
Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

If the iPad is sleeping, Wi-Fi is switch off to save battery per designed. To have Wi-Fi on while the iPad is asleep, connect to the wall power supply.

• FaceTime call not connecting?

Hello. My grandmother recently got a new iPad Air and I have been getting familiar with the device by testing out FaceTime and the other features it comes with. Yesterday and today, I tried to do a FaceTime call with this one friend of mine, who has an iPhone 4 or 4S, and it did not notify her that a FaceTime call was coming through. She also tried to call me on the iPad and it did not ring. My wi-fi is turned on and she said hers had to be turned on. Any suggestions as to what we can do to fix the problem?

• TS3367 decline facetime call button greyed out

My daughter said she got a facetime call from someone she didn't know on her iPod touch. She had to ignore the call as the decline button was greayed out. Is this a bug? Also is there some way to manage privacy on facetime, e.g. only contacts can facetime her?

Agree with Anthony.
You can check that by initialing a audio meeting. Then check if the call button grays out.

• TS3367 my facetime will not connect it just rings without connecting

Facetime not connecting since upgrading to ios7

If you read TS3367 you would have noticed it said
With FaceTime, you can participate in video calls with another FaceTime user over a Wi-Fi network connection or a cellular data connection. This article outlines the system requirements for FaceTime and provides basic troubleshooting steps to resolve FaceTime activation and usage issues.
It can work with cellular if the carrier provides for it

• IPhone Cellular Calls not appearing in Settings menu

Today, the iPhone Cellular Call feature completely disappeared on both my iPhone (5s) and my MacBook Pro (Early 2011). It had been working ever since I upgraded to both Yosemite and iOS 8.1, but now it simply doesn't work anymore. I went into the Preferences menu of FaceTime on my Mac, and the checkbox for iPhone Cellular Calls was gone. After restarting the Mac, it was there again, checked like I had left it. Unfortunately, I had no such luck after restarting my iPhone. The Cellular Call feature is supposed to be located under Settings -> FaceTime, but it's not there, and I've restarted the phone three times trying to get it to reappear like it did on my Mac.
Both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, though the Mac recently had some network connectivity issues that I resolved by disconnecting and then reconnecting. I did the same on my iPhone just in case.
It is worth noting that I am still able to receive SMS messages on the Mac, but cannot send.
EDIT: Also, Wi-Fi Calls are disabled under Settings -> Phone, as I was told they should be.

It appears I'm now in. What I had to do was sign out of iCloud on both Macs and then sign back in again. I'm a little confused as to why I have seemingly got two email addresses for the same iCloud account. One is my personal email account and the other is the @icloud.com email account. I am still able to sign in to iCloud with my personal one though?!

You might want to read a bit about FaceTime and look through the iPhone user guide. It may save you some time and frustration because many of these basic questions are answered there.

• Ipad shows all regular Iphone inbound calls as Facetime. I only want true FT calls to appear. I switch audio/video and it still happens. How can I set the Ipad to only register true facetime calls rather than all inbound regular calls? thanks

My Ipad will show all regular inbound calls, from Iphone, as Facetime calls. I would like only TRUE facetime calls to appear. I have switched audio/video on Ipad but it still happens. How can I set the Ipad to only register only true FT calls rather than all inbound calls that a re not facetime calls? Yes, you may have to reread this twice and slowly to understand..... Thanks!

Hi webn,
I understand that you do not wish to see phone calls on your iPad anymore. I have an article for you with some information on accomplishing this goal:
Connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac using Continuity - Apple Support
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT6337
Turn off iPhone cellular calls
To turn off iPhone cellular calls on your iPad or iPod touch, go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off iPhone Cellular Calls.
On your Mac, open the FaceTime app and go to FaceTime > Preferences. Click Settings and deselect the iPhone Cellular Calls option.
Thanks for coming to the Apple Support Communities!

• Apple ID FaceTime calling iphone

Last night I couldn't find my iphone, so I used my iPad to FaceTime my iphone so it would ring and I could locate it. Since then, every time I hang up from an outgoing call I have a missed FaceTime call on my phone from my Apple ID. What's happening?

Each device needs a separate address. Use an email address (gmail.com) on the iPad.
