TS3367 Since updating to the new operating system I have had some issues with FaceTime. When calling my Dad through FaceTime I have gotten someone else using my Dad's email. This has happened on at least 4 occasions. Has anybody else had this problem?

Has anyone had an issue contacting someone through FaceTime? Sometimes when I try to call my Dad I get a different party ( someone I don' t know). This has happened when calling fro IPad (3) And IPhone 5s.

In the terminal I go to /volumes/some_folder/test and I type "chmod 4711 test" so that the C++ program will be run as the admin account I'm logged in with. This admin account has privileges to create folders in /volumes/some_folder/test.
I vaguely recall something about this - isn't it related to the execution of setuid scripts?
There's a whole discussion on the security implications of doing this. It's generally not considered safe.

How can I restore my iPhone 3Gs after I tried to update to the new operating system.

I tried to upgrade my 3Gs to the new operating system(IOS5) and I got some kind of unknown error. I told iTunes to do the back up before doing the upgrade. The phone is stuck in restore mode with the "connect to iTunes" logo displayed.
I have the latest version of iTunes on my computer. I've restarted my computer. The iTunes doesnt seem to see the iPhone, but when I connect the phone to the computer I hear the recognition jingle by the comoputer, the one you hear when when a piece of equipment is connected to the computer. In addition, when i look at "my computer" I dont see the iPhone in the selections of items connected to the computer.
I have tried all the reset proceducures with turning the phone off and using the home key.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Wifi is not working properly once i updated to the new operating system.

My I pphone 4s wifi is not working properly once the softwere is updated to the new IOS.

I am trying that and itunes says that you have to have icloud backup off. My icloud "button" is a whiteish green and does not respond to touch. I can't turn it off.

SADLY not as i downloaded an upgrad to my original PAGES/
i have in the meantim had to open www.icloud. then from there import the file that i am working on and then check on ipad if it uploaded/ yes it did.
but what a waste of time as it doesn not save any changes done automatically back in the cloud....
i am now downloading the new LION and hope that it will fix the problem
i cant find any other way. I was lead to believe that you wrote, it saved automatically, on to the cloud, you then opened anohter device in anotother country even, and the new file was there, waiting, in its latest version.......

Please help. Since upgrading to the new operating system, I cannot play my music on my IPhone 4S. I used to use the USB cable and manage my music that way, now it won't even support the auxiliary cord.

1 - you need to update your profile as you state that you have OS X 10.6.3 in it
2 - for Yosemite you need to backup your iPhoto library and install iPhoto 9.6 from the App store - if you are upgrading from iPhoto '08 or earlier you need to also run the iPhoto Library upgrader prior to launching iPhoto 9.6
3 - Your photos are NOT in iCloud - it is not a place to store photos - it is only to move photos between devices (MyPhotoStream) or people (shared PhotoStreams) - they are (by default) in the iphoto library in your pictures folder - if you did not backup your iphoto library prior to erasing you disk then they are gone

That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.

If you are experiencing difficulties with the connection between your stereo and device, disconnect the device, and then power cycle the stereo and your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. I then receive a error message stating the message can't be sent and it shows a set of "1s" were added in front of the number I entered. Ex: 1 (1) xxx-xxx-xxxx. I realize this. When calling prepaid cus service it only gives you the option to input your #. If you dont the system hangs up on you. When I input my number the system doesnt recognize it and hangs up on me.
