TS3398 syncing blackberry calendar to iphone

Hi there,
I would like to know if anyone has experienced difficulty syncing a blackberry calendar to an iphone ???
Any help would be appreciated !!!
Thanks

Craig:
Very odd - what kind of system are you running?
Mac or PC?
When I first got my iPhone 3Gs about 18 months ago I was having trouble with the sync-ing of calendars and found that events that DID repeat "forever" were the problem. After changing them to only repeat for (say) one year's worth of time (weekly meetings) or about 10 years (annual events) everything worked OK.
It appeared that if there were too many entries that the sync. broke. For example I have one uncle born in 1912 (yeah he's seen a few things in his life...) and his birthday would not sync at all until I lied and said he was born in 1972 (other dates might have worked also I just lost motiviation for trying to pin-point the problem -- I had a support case open with Apple but they were never able to explain the behavior .... just that (after I figured it out) "ummm yeah, that's the way it works" ....

  • How do I sync my calendar between iPhone and Mac on Mavericks? The postings I've seen so far are not showing me how to do this simple thing! Apple used to be easy to use - not so much any more

I am trying to sync my calendar between the mac and my iphone now that I have upgraded to Mavericks. I understand that I have to use iCloud (which I am not at all excited about) but I'll be damned if I can find out how to do it.  I've read several postings in the community but they point me to broad troubleshooting pages and I can't find anything that simply tells me how to get my calendar into icloud to begin with and then how to sync.  i was pretty happy syncing dircetly through itunes.  I am feeling very sour about Apple right now.

Actually it is pretty easy to do through iCloud,
    On your Mac(s)
    System Preferences > iCloud
Be sure the services you want to sync through iCloud are checked
click on Account Details and be sure your Apple ID is correct
    On your iPhone
    Settings > iCloud
Account -- Verify the Apple ID is the same one you set in System Preferences on your Mac(s)
turn the services you want to sync throug iClound or ON. These should match the ones you set in System Preferences on your Mac
    On your iPad
    Settings > iCloud
Account -- Verify the Apple ID is the same one you set in System Preferences on your Mac(s)
turn the services you want to sync throug iClound or ON. These should match the ones you set in System Preferences on your Mac
That is literally all there is to it. The first sync will occur when your iPhone or iPad is plugged into power and on WiFi. After that any change made on one of the synched devices will appear on all of the other synched devices the first time they have an internet connection.

  • Sync Exchange calendar to iPhone via iCal on a Mac

My company uses Exchange 2007 for mail, contacts, calendar. Unfortunately, it does not support access to Exchange from the iPhone. For mail on the iPhone, I use the IMAP client which works well. For the contacts, Address Book can talk to our LDAP server. However, for calendar access, I'm stuck. I can see the Exchange events on my Mac iCal. Non-Exchange events sync across to the iPhone using MobileMe. The only way to get the Exchange events to the iPhone is via iTunes, which is not helpful since I don't want to have to do that continuously. Does anyone know how to sync Exchange events to an iPhone? Or any other solution?

I have the same problem - is there a solution?

  • How do I sync Outlook calendar with iPhone?

I am using Outlook 2011 on my laptop for my yahoo account. I receive all mail via Outlook and I use the calendar feature on Outlook as well. I set up the yahoo account also on my iPhone 4. I have no problems receiving/sending emails but I cannot figure out how to [wirelessly] sync the calendar from Outlook to the iPhone. Does anyone know if it can be done? And if so, how?  Thank for the help.

Synchronization of calendars between Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and your Apple iPhone or iPod touch requires Apple iTunes. You can configure which items are synchronized during a one-time set up process. Good luck with your Mac!
After the initial setup, each time that you connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer, the changes made on your computer or device are synchronized.
Connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer using the cable provided with your device or by placing the iPhone or iPod touch in the Apple Universal Dock.
iTunes opens automatically when connected to your computer.
In iTunes, in the source list, under Devices, click the entry for your iPhone or iPod touch.
    Click the Info tab.
Under Calendars, click Sync calendars from, and then click Outlook.
    Do one of the following:
To synchronize all calendars, click All calendars.
To limit the calendars that are synchronized, click Selected calendars, and then click the calendars you want to synchronize.
NOTE   To select multiple calendars, press CTRL as you click each calendar name.
    Click Apply.

  • Just want to sync Outlook calendar and Iphone without paying extra $$

I am currently using Mobile Me trial membership to sync my Outlook Calendar and Iphone calendar. Just that only -- I don't want to sync my Outlook e-mail or contacts with my phone. But I don't want to pay $99 for for Mobile Me after the free trial runs out in October.
Will I have to pay to sync?
I need to sync them a couple times a day, it has to be secure, and I don't want to do it manually with a wire.
    Any advice?

    Jon,
I could connect the cord and sync each night, but that's too difficult to remember.
That's how I did it for a year with the first iPhone. It wasn't that bad.
Still, over the air synching is pretty cool, especially if you update your calendar throughout the day and always want the latest information on the phone.

  • Sync multiple Calendars onto iPhone separately

    Hi,
I have the following calendars on Microsoft Outlook which I would like to sync onto my iPhone 4S:
    1) Personal calendar on Home PC
    2) Work calendar on Work laptop
I would like to keep both Calendars above the way it is, but sync both of them onto my iPhone. How can I do it?
    ie:
    Objectives:
    1) Personal calendar on Home PC only (No work calendar here)
    2) Work calendar on Work laptop only (No personal calendar here)
    3) Both calendars on iPhone
What I can do now, after I sync my iPhone to both computers:
    1) Both calendars on Home PC, but hide Work calendar
    2) Both calendars on Work laptop, but hide Personal calendar
    3) Both calendars on iPhone
How can I configure my iPhone, iTunes-es and MS Outlook(s) to achieve my objectives above?
    Please advice / help.
    Many thanks!

I've used Spanning Sync for my two home computers. One is PowerBook, and one is a new iMac. Both my wife an I have our own iPhones. http://spanningsync.com/
I paid for a one year and I'm going to buy an unlimited one because now we got a new MacBook, making three computers and two iphones to keep in sync. They are also alpha testing getting ready for beta syncing of contacts too.
The main requirement is that you have a google calendar, and email account for contacts.
Another alternative is .Mac, but that costs a lot more for what you are wanting to do.

  • Sync two calendars *on iPhone*

Hi there - O my iPhone, I sync two calendars from different servers. Is there a way (possibly via 3rd party apps) to sync these calendars against each other *on the iPhone* ? No external sync's wanted (e.g. via Google or iCloud)... Tx, Stefan

Hi - thanks lots for your comment. I suppose you have lots of experience with it so I dare to describe my setup and desired results and I'd very much appreciate your advice.
    - I could sync data (mail, calendar) from two different Exchange servers.
    - One of them imposes an incredibly absurd restriction on my phone - pushing a policy which requires 8 char complex password to be changed every 90 days with screen lock set to max 15 minutes. This basically renders the phone unusable in daily life.
I was now thinking of having one old iPhone syncing against both servers but acting as an intermediate device: It would merge the two calendars and then sync the new content to the other server from where I could fetch it with my "real" phone. So this scenario does not work, all too bad...
Would you have any other suggestions how to achive this ? I don't want to involve 3rd party services, e.g. Google...
Many thanks for looking into it - best regards,
    Stefan

  • How do I sync blackberry calendar to my iphone 4?

How can I syn my old blackberry data on my computer to my new iphone 4?

You need to get the data into a supported application on your computer, then sync it to your phone:
PC: Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Addressbook (XP) and Windows Contacts (Vista)

  • Why cant i sync contacts/calendar from iphone to itunes

    Hi
I have just ordered a new iPhone 6 plus and awaiting its arrival. I currently have an iPhone 4 which I inherited from my dad, so it was still listed as his phone when I plugged into iTunes, but my outlook email address is listed as the current active email account on the phone. Problem is, when I try to sync my mail, contacts and calendars to iTunes (when signed in with the apple id that matches my outlook email address) so as to back up the device ready for transfer to my new iPhone, I am unable to, it only backs up the apps on the phone. When I click on the phone in iTunes and select the info section, it says that I can only sync 'windows contacts' (there is no other option in the drop down menu) and underneath that I cannot sync calendars because outlook must be installed, and further below under the 'sync mail accounts' section there is no accounts listed. So I suppose I have a number of questions which don't seem to be specifically answered anywhere, or I cant find them-
    1. Is the issue because the IPhone I am trying to sync was not the original one that I had synced on iTunes to my apple id, or because my dads iPhone was registered to another email account? Do I then need to ensure that the phone is mapped only to my iTunes account?
    2. Or, Is the issue because I don't have Microsoft outlook installed on the PC hard drive? I am using windows 8 and login to the PC using my email account and can access outlook using the mail app.
    3. Or. is the issue related to another article I have found about Apple and Microsoft refusing to fix an underlying issue to allow this?
    4. If I were able to do what I am trying to do, would my entire contacts library stored on the phone be transferred to iTunes as back up for transfer to the new phone, or would it just be my outlook contacts? (I would hope the entire contact list stored in the phone)
Appreciate any help, what I am trying to do should be quite simple but after a few hours trying and searching I fear it may be easier to just copy everything over manually which doesn't sound right!!

You should be able to do this just as you did in iPhone. You can use OS X's mail application. Go to Preferences menu and you'll see an Accounts tab. Go from there.
This looks like a Mac question, though.

  • Since Jan 1st cannot sync google calendar and iPhone calendar

I had google calendars syncing just fine between iCal on my laptop and iPhone by using Exchange on my iphone. Since the first of the year I can't get one of the calendars to sync. I have a work calendar and personal calendar as well as two shared calendars that belong to others. Since Jan 1st my work calendar will not show up on my iPhone. Even if I add an event on my iPhone it shows up briefly then disapears??? The only thing I changed prior to this issue was adding a shared calendar. My personal calendar has and is still the default. No other settings were changed. Another thing is that on my phone my work calendar keeps unselecting itself so it shows 2 calendars rather than 3.
I went on the exchange settings and turned off everything and turned them back on and made it worse. Now none of my calendar events show up but the two shared calendars do. On google sync settings they are all selected still- both on my computer and iphone.
Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks in advance for any help!

It may be more than this but there is an issue with shared google calendars discussed here: http://productforums.google.com/forum/m/#!category-topic/calendar/syncing-my-cal endar/m8zzIAYN9rI

  • Can't sync iMac calendar to iPhone 5 and pad

The calendar on my mac desktop won't sync to iphone5 or ipad.  I've been to itunes/device/info...and it says it is already syncing over the air with icloud so there is no box to check.  My phone has a check next to every calendar in icloud when I open my calendar, click calendar.  I clicked the little round arrow on bottom left.  When I go to settings/mail,contacts, calendars/icloud it's on.   It's on in settings/mail,contacts, calendars/gmail too.  Help!  What am I missing?

    I feel so silly.
I just changed my settings on my iPhone from 'On' to 'Off' for Calendar to sync with iCloud.
    All better now.
All the best to you and yours, Kitty

  • I need help with sync: Entourage calendar to iphone...

I presently have google contacts and calendars synced with the iphone, and I love it. I just got entourage 2004, and I love that too.
I basically want to use google as my backup online
I want to keep the settings as is for the contacts. I imported the contacts from google to address book, which syncs with entourage. I will just import contact from entourage to google, as needed.
I'm stumped with the calendar. I want to input info from entourage, and the iphone and have them sync together. I would like for it to back up to google, but I can live without, as long as the iphone and entourage will update each other.
How to do this without paying out for a service?
if I do have to pay, then what is an inexpensive option
    thanks in advance

Events should behave the same way as the contacts--sync them to iCal and then the iPhone will pick them up.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1670
But for more detail, probably best to ask in the Entourage forum here:
    http://www.officeformac.com/ProductForums/Entourage/
I don't know if there is a way to sync the Entourage calendar to the Google calendar--ask either on the Entourage forum or somewhere there are specialists in google calendar.

  • Syncing google calendar to iPhone 5?

I've got an interesting dilemma when it comes to syncing my google calendars. On my iPhone's calendar in the top left hand corner under "calendars" both of my google calendars show up as options but only one of them actually displays events in my iPhone's calendar. The other one (which is a shared calendar, and also my default Google calendar), when selected, will not display any of the events associated with that calendar in my iPhone's calendar. I found this link --> https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect <-- which most people said did the trick. The trouble is the calendar I'm having issues with isn't listed on this page with a check box next to it. I can't figure why if it's available as an option for my iPhone's calendar to display it, none of the events will show up. Fixing this issue would be largely helpful for me. I also have a third party app called "Week Cal" which has the same issue (shows up as an option but when selected no events show up within the calendar).

  • Problem syncing blackberry calendar

ever since installing iCloud, when I sync my Blackbery calendar I get an error msg. When I click on calendar in the Blackberry sync software, it says "no writable calendars available for syncing on this computer, please launch iCal and create a new writable calendar." How do you do that? Under iCal, preferences, accounts - I now see iCloud.

one BIS account can be sent only to one BlackBerry device.
If your wife is using that email address on your device, it won't work.
If your wife uses a BlackBerry device, the easiest way is to create a BBm group that will include you and her. In that group, you have a shared calendar.
    Very practical.
