TS3406 bluetooth drops unexpectantly

Bluetooth drops with 5S ios 7.04/  iphone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4 have no problems.

Thats the offline mode option, I assume..
that isn't the one I meant. if you open the desktop menu (by pressing the top of the screen when the desktop is visible, there should be a button labeled "Internet connection".. if you click that, you should see an option "Disconnect blah" where blah is the wireless network you're connected to..
select that to disconnect from the wireless network.. OR select the 3G connection (which has a round icon with two arrows in it)
that will switch over to 3G..
That's all I did to get my bluetooth working.. it isn't a permanent fix, but it does demonstrate the problem..

  • Bluetooth dropping after update to 10.6.8

The bluetooth connection between my Nokia BH-908 headsets and my mac mini periodically drops after I upgraded to 10.6.8.   Restarting blued daemon via Bluetooth Explorer does not fix the problem; I have to reboot the computer to restore the connection.   I've tried resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) and I attempted to delete the device and re-pairing it.  Neither of those things worked, the headset sill drops periodically.    This is what the kernel logs say when the device drops:
    Aug  8 07:01:41 kernel[0]: E:[AppleUSBBluetoothHCIController][BulkOutWriteCompleteHandler] ERROR2: 0xe0004006; sizeRem=00000059; isInactive = 0, suspended = 0
    Aug  8 07:01:41 kernel[0]: E:[AppleUSBBluetoothHCIController][SendACLData] Bulk out [ACL] data failed. (error = 0xe000404f )
    Aug  8 07:01:42: --- last message repeated 20 times ---
Again, this only started happening after I upgraded to 10.6.8.   Any suggestions for resolving this issue?

It was a good suggestion, but unfortunately that didn't solve the prolem.   Here's the Bluetooth Exploer actions I tried:

  • Streaming audio apps drop unexpectedly

I use several streaming audio apps (Pandora, iHeartRadio, WunderRadio) on my iPhone, but they seem to drop/crash unexpectedly, often in the middle of a song or program. Usually the crash happens after several minutes, but I seem to have to relaunch an app at least once every 30 minutes. Is there a time limit on the amount of time the iPhone can stream audio, or is this just an app crashing. I have looked, but have been unable to find any settings for streaming time limits.

There are no streaming time limits imposed by the iPhone.
Pandora drops out on me occasionally but never crashes. I assume the drops are due to an imperfect cellular connection and/or Pandora servers.
Regarding crashes, this shouldn't happen. Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

  • Bluetooth drops after lion os

HI, just installed Lion and updates.
iMac now drops both wifi and Bluetooth after sleep. This has only happened since the update and I have reinstated my iMac to snow Leopard from backup and it appears to work fine.
Assuming this is a Lion OS glitch which seems reasonable can I expect my money back or an upgrade at some point?

    Hi:
From what you describe, I suspect that the problem is not in the Bluetooth module.
However, trash the preference file (com.apple.bluetooth.plist) and restart.
I would also run repair disk from your software install DVD.
I do not have a mini, so I have no first-hand knowledge.  I have not read about problems associated with the mini/OS X 10.7, but that does not mean they do not exist.

  • Ios 8.1.1 bluetooth drops connection with Honda Accord

My iPhone 6 with IOS 8.1.1, when paired with the audio system in my 2014 Honda Accord will drop the connection after 1 minute when using the AHA app. Also, when I use Bluetooth as the audio source in the car, it will recognize my iPhone, but ignores any request to select music from the phone. These functions worked earlier with my iPhone 4S and IOS7. Is there a temporary fix for these issues?

Similar to VroomVroom:  I have iphone 5s, was on iOS7, went to iOS 8.1.2, and I didn't notice that I had lost a specific bluetooth connection: Garmin Smartlink - Live Traffic App.  The Garmin Smartlink uses bluetooth to connect to the aftermarket Kenwood DNX891HD I have in my car, this comes with a Navigation GPS included.  The Garmin Smartlink app (Live Traffic) provides immediate traffic updates if your city is covered, and my city Cincinati OH is covered.  This was all working fine before I upgraded the iOS on the iphone 5S.  I read another article related to "carkit" connections between iphones and car stereos (for both NAV and also hands-free) - here is the key point and my theory: Only ONE bluetooth connection can be supported at a time.  In my case - the hands-free telephone (thru car microphone and car stereo speakers) works fine, and I believe this is also "shared" by Pandora App (from iphone to Kenwood).  So, my theory is the iphone will not connect to the Kenwood for the Nav, since it is already connected to the Kenwood for the audio (Pandora and hands-free, I think these two "share" the same bluetooth connection, and I think the Smartlink connection is separate).  I messed around this morning in the parking lot at work, and my attempts to "forget" and "pair" the iphone and Kenwood would continously start playing Pandora, but the Smartlink still will not connect (when it dis work, I would see a green circle with two cars on my Nav map screen, indicating the smartlink connection and also status of the traffic).  My next test this afternoon will be to delete Pandora app on the phone, try forget / pair again and see if I can get Smartlink to work.  If this works, I'll reinstall Pandora App and try to get it back as well.  My past 24 hours of skimming articles (don't ya love the internet !) seems to indicate that I am not the only person with bluetooth problems due to the iOS 8.1.2 update....hey Apple...where's 8.1.3 to fix this ?

  • Bluetooth dropping calls

I have a droid razr hd. I have the phone paired to my car phone and also to my bluetooth headset.
I never use them at the same time.
I am finding now that my phone is dropping the bluetooth connection on both the headset and the car phone. While I am in the middle of the convesation, the bluetooth just cuts out and the audio goes back to my phone.
Since this is happening to two different bluetooth devices, I have to believe the issue is the phone. Does anyone know of a fix?

        Hi Sandy0380,
I use a Bluetooth device all day and I can understand how frustrating this issue can be. It sound more like a compatibility issue. Did you check with Bluetooth manufacturer to ensure full compatibility with your phone? While Bluetooth is a very comprehensive technology that allows wireless connection between 2 devices, some Bluetooth profiles may not be fully compatible.

  • Bluetooth drops audio since update to iOS 6

Since i've updated my iPad to iOS 6.0 my Bluetooth connection to my audio system drops audio everything 30 seconds. I didn't have this problem with the previous iOS version.

  • Bluetooth drops connection with Magic Mouse

Quite often the connection between my Macbook Pro (15" retina) drops connection with my Magic Mouse. The drop varies from heavily lagging to full disconnect. Sometimes it works just reconnecting, but other times it won't connect at all.
Lately I've discovered that disabling WiFi makes the Magic Mouse connect immediately. Given that many people seem to have issues with WiFi when bluetooth is enabled, I suspects that there are some issues with to coherence of the two technologies. I know that both of the tech uses the same bandwith (2,4 GHz), just separated by what channel they use.
My issue started after installing Yosemite, first beta and now final release, so it looks to me as a software issue.
Anyone else with the same problem that might have more insight or maybe even a respons from Apple support?

  • Yoga 13 bluetooth drops connection

I have a Yoga 13 (Windows 8) and a Lenovo Thinkpad Bluetooth keyboard.  The keyboard disconnects from the computer every few minutes.  Sometimes it reconnects on its own after 30 seconds or so.  Sometimes it needs to be restarted and sometimes it won't reconnect for several minutes despite numerous restarts.
I have replaced the keyboard.  The new keyboard behaves exactly the same way.
I have replaced the wireless card.  No improvement.
It is possible that the new wireless card is also defective.
I have tried to update drivers, although the drivers for the keyboard still seem to be dated June 2006, which seems an awfully long time ago.
Any ideas?  Lenovo seems stumped (or just does not want to help diagnose the problem).  I do have onsite service.

I haven't tried using a Bluetooth headset with Windows, but check:
    1.  Right-click on the sound tray icon, select Playback devices.  Does it show a 2nd bluetooth headset device in addition to Speakers?  If so, left-click on it and try the "Set Default" dropown menu on the bottom to make it the Default device (or some other option that works better).

  • Bluetooth drops during music selection Lumia 800

    Hi all,
On Lumia 800 while playing music via bluetooth to Play 360 speakers, I find that bluetooth disconnects when changing album. This is using Zune/X-Box Music Pass and streaming music.
    To reproduce:
    Switch on bluetooth
    Connect to Play 360 speakers
    Start Music & Videos app
    Swipe to Zune page
    Tap Marketplace then Music
    Start streaming/playing something
    Tap Back
    Select something different
If there's a slight delay (fifteen seconds) before the new selection starts streaming then bluetooth disconnects.
This is really frustrating as I then have to go to settings->bluetooth->Play 360->connect every time.
Is this a fault with my phone?
    Thanks
    Matt
    Update:
This also happens if I simply pause the music for about twenty seconds and then try to resume playback. If the stream doesn't start quickly then bluetooth disconnects.

is your play 360 plugged in, or running of the battery.
I found that happening to me and after a charge of the battery on the play 360, worked fine again.
that really is a great speaker, amazing how long it will work on one charge!

  • Is there a solution to the Bluetooth dropping out and disappearing on Lion 10.7.5?

Always drops out and disappears from preferences panel. There is a lot about this on the comunity but i have yet to discover a solution. Anyone?

You managed to place an item in the toolbar that has since been trashed. The solution is simple. Right click (or control click) on the toolbar and select Customize Toolbar... Now you can drag the question mark off the toolbar and release the mouse button. It will poof (disappear).

  • My bluetooth drops out too often making it impossible to type

problem is that the connection is lost too often, this makes the mouse jerky and the keyboard impossible to use. Is there a remedy for this, I have tried pairing and other keyboards but still have the same issue.

The music continued to play with the iPod?
If so, when a call is received while listening to music with the iPod, when the call is answered the music should be paused. When ending the call, the music starts playing again from where is was paused.
There is no automatic mute with notifications for received email or messages while on a call and there is no setting for this.

  • IPhone 6 iOS 8.0.2 - Bluetooth connectivity dropping HYUNDAI SONATA

    team-
after I did the update to I OS 8.0.2 the Bluetooth Drops out in my car. It shows that it connects to the phone successfully but when I place a call after the first ring my car says call ended but the phone is still on an active call and the audio drops out. Is this because of the update? I was not experiencing this with the stock OS right out the box
note: I attempted to stream music via Bluetooth in my car and I was able to do it for 3 minutes with no audio drop outs so it appears to be only with the calling and Bluetooth.
    Anyone one else experiencing this?

Hey folks- this certainly did the trick for me!

Re: iPhone 6 iOS 8.0.2 - Bluetooth connectivity dropping HYUNDAI SONATAin response to Cossio
I have got a 2012 Sonata Hybrid and mine is worked quite well. Is this phone an upgrade from an older phone? Did you restore from a backup of another iPhone. Did you name the new phone the same as the old phone. If this is the case, it can confuse the vehicle's Bluetooth system. Go to the phone and remove the vehicle from the list, turn off Bluetooth on the phone. Do a reset, holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Go to the vehicle, remove the phone from the list in the vehicle. Turn the vehicle off and then back on again. This will clear the system. Now turn the vehicle back on and put it into discovery/pairing mode. Go to the phone and turn on Bluetooth, which puts it into discovery/pairing mode. The two should connect with no issues.
    EDIT: Sorry, I didn't  mention I have a 5S with iOS8.0.2.
