TS3406 Help my iphone won't send or receive texts!

I have just purchased a new iphone 5s however it won't send or receive texts?? I can make and receive calls and the internet is working fine, any one got any suggestions how to fix it? Thanks

Are you trying to use actual SMS with non-iOS devices. If so, SMS is a carrier funcation and you would need to contact your carrier. If you are trying to connect to iOS devices, that is an iMessage, and you would need to go to Settings>Messages and see if iMessage is turned on and activated.

Beyond that, SMS is a carrier feature. Contact the carrier to troubleshoot.

if they use the same appleID then you need to turn of iMessage otherwise it would be like sms'ing yourself

Iphone 4 cannot send or receive text message

I just got my iphone 4 yeaterday. Everything works fine except for the text messages. I can make and receive call, but cannot send or receive text messages. Does anyone have this problam?
After I hit "send", it sounds message sent successfully, but my friend did not get it. Also I asked my friend to send one to me, nothing!

it's a software issue... a lot of customers are having all kinds of issues with their new iPhone 4. But, don't be dismayed, there may be a way to fix it.
some ideas is trying going to settings -> general -> rest -> then tap on "Rest Network Settings". This will then rest all the of network settings, and hopefully fix transmitting and recieving issues that you may have with your iPhone.

Verizon iPhone 5 not sending or receiving texts. iMessage worked for a day then stopped or messages were severely delayed.

New iPhone 5 on Verizon will not send or receive texts. In the beginning iMessage worked for about a day and then messages started to be delayed by hours. Eventually even these messages were not being sent. Reset network settings followed by a soft re-boot land still no change. Any ideas?

For iMessage problems, try this:
- Sign out of iMessage
- Reset your network settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Sign back in to iMessage

BB10.2 won't send or receive texts

I installed 10.2 a couple days ago and now my phone doesn't send or receive text messages. I have a Z10 on a T-Mobile pre paid plan. When I open a conversation it always opens the same conversation no matter who it is I click to open and then it doesn't show any old messages. When I try to type a message it brings up the keyboard but not the field to type into. I had my wife send me a text but it never came through. I tried a regular restart and later a battery pull, neither did any good.
I could use some help.

Problem has been giving the update 10.2.0.424
I recommend you make a reload of the BlackBerry OS Link
Connect your Z10 and run BBLink
Then go to preference and press the reload option software
Let the process do all your work, and then you start setting your BB
And load your backup.
And let us know if your problem evidences the persistence.

After transferring my contacts on to my iPhone, I cannot send or receive text messages to some of them. Even if they text me, I cannot reply!

After transferring my contacts to my iPhone, I can no longer send or receive text messages from some of them. Even if they text me, I cannot send a reply!

Same problem persists also here. Have crosschecked with friend, all same settings, have deleted the contacted, created again, still that number does not receive my SMS (no question on iMessage). Can not even reply her message. This problem persists with few numbers, nothing common, different phones, different countries, different operators. All others, with different operators, in different coutries receive my messages. Even other people can send their SMS to her.

IPhone 3GS not sending or receiving texts

So, my phone hasn't been sending or receiving texts for about two weeks now. I did some research on the internet, and I already tried turning it on and off and turning 3G on and off. Also, my dad used to work for Apple, so I already knew to try resetting my phone, restoring it to factory settings, etc. It still isn't working. Is there anyone who knows how to fix it? Or if it can even be fixed?

HELP! Iphone won't send messages AT ALL!

I have a iPhone 4 and I it was a hand me down from a relative. She had it for a couple years and now I have had it for about a year. I had the battery replaced once because it was completely dead and drained and caused my iPhone to not work.
I have recently ran into a another problem which just started yesterday. My messages whether its text or imessage will not send. It's actually quite a bit of problems. It will not show that it sent for me it just says "sending..." but a few of them will reach its destination and I'll get a reponse from a friend or family member. But it will still be "Sending..." also if I close the app all my messages will completely disappear
I also if I make a call or someone calls me they can't hear me.
I have done everything possible. I have reset it, reset network settings, have done a complete restore and it still is having the same problem. I have no idea what to do especially since I don't have internet connection at home.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm referring to imessage and SMS text. I've never had a problem before with sending without internet connection. I have Verizon and this problem has never happened.
And I'm not sure if this is coming off right but imessage or sms will just say "sending..." it won't say that it sent or even delievered. I can recieve messages from other people but they are delayed and don't come in on time. I tested my phone with a friend who was next to me and sent her a message and she recieved my message but on my phone it still said "sending..."
Any type of message I send says sending... also if I close my message app ALL my messages disappear they just delete and the message app is blank. My phone was working just fine on Jan. 21st but yesterday when I tried to text my boss it wouldn't send but he continued texting me.
At the moment I'm at a friend's connected to wifi and did a restore and the problem is still happening. I can access apps and internet connection is fine over wifi or using my 3G.
Also when I try to answer or make a call I can hear them but they can't hear me.
Whatever the problem is it's only effecting my send/recieve of messages and calls. Whether its over wifi or just 3G

Okay Verizon, you finally convinced me to get a smartphone so I can text, etc. Now I find that only other Iphone users can get my text messages. This is very annoying. My family members are Verizon and other carriers, Iphone and Droid users but I find that only some can receive or send me messages. What is up with this?

That is because you are not sending texts, but iMessages. iMessage is an Apple proprietary messaging system which DOES NOT utilize SMS, but instead chooses to send messages counted against your data allowance. iMessage is ALSO only available to Apple phones.
Go into your settings > messages > make sure that the box is checked to send as SMS if iMessage is not available is checked. This way, when your iPhone cannot send an iMessage to a contact, it will send an SMS.
Personally, I think you should completely disable iMessage and only send SMS messages. With Verizon, most plans now include unlimited texting and an allowance for data. If you use iMessage, these messages will count against your data allowance where these same messages sent as SMS would not since you most likely have unlimited texting on your account.

Device will not receive mass text pics, or send pics. Already checked settings and did a hard reboot.

Ah! That's another piece of the puzzle indeed! Anything else that might be helpful that we don't yet know?
In any event, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you definitely should talk to ATT...it is completely possible that they have not fully shifted your services from one BB to the next...

I changed the password for my Apple ID and now my iPhone won't send out my texts....says they are undeliverable unless I send them out manually as texts.

If you have recently changed the password on your Apple ID account, you may need to manually sign out and sign back in to your Apple ID on your device for the change to take effect. You may find the following article helpful:

Ipod touch 5th gen wont send or receive texts while connected to specific internet

My iPod touch 5th gen (iOS 8.3) won't send or receive texts from my home internet. iMessage works everywhere else except for at home and I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem or if it has more to do with the actual internet connection. Up until a week ago I could send and receive messages but out of nowhere it stopped working. Everyone else's Apple devices (primarily iMessage) in my family work fine but my iPods iMessage won't work.
Safari works and all of my internet required apps work as well excluding iMessage.
If anyone has a solution or advice it would be much appreciated.
I've tried resetting my settings, network settings, signing out of my Apple ID, and making sure I have the correct time and date. I have reset my interent multiple times too.
