TS3406 iPhone 4s will not make outgoing calls once updated to iOS 8.

I updated my phone to iOS 8 a yesterday and when I did it deleted my phone including all my apps on my phone even though it claims to have backed it up just before updating (not a big deal most were free apps and the work properly once downloaded and the paid ones stayed on) but, my phone will no longer make outgoing calls. When I try the phone makes no noise for about 5-10 seconds and says call ended. I've tried reseting the phone, reseting the network and turning airplane mode on and off and nothing has worked. Also when I plug my phone into my computer it tells me my phone can't be restored and I should try updating iTunes but my iTunes is up to date. Any suggestions?

I Am facing the same issue as of yours. i m having iPhone 4s and upon updating to iOS 8 it has stopped making any outgoing calls .Though there is no problem in recieving calls also with sending/ recieving messeges.

When ever i try to call somebody on my Samsung galaxy s5 the call will come up with a dialogue that says "Please re-enter the 10 digit telephone number you are calling, do not press send, *67, or *82 cannot be used on this call to block or unblock caller id". Now, coming to the point of performing a factory reset. Yes, I performed the factory reset and yes, it has been determined to be a hardware problem. However, my point is that how does a customer suddenly go from paying full price for a brand new (and expensive) phone to a second-hand, 'like new' phone, which has a market value of half of the original brand new version? It just means that I ended up paying top dollar for a brand new phone and instead now have to live with a second-hand phone, which is completely unfair. And, it is unfair because Verizon is not reducing my monthly Edge payments, which are currently aimed to cover the full price of the brand new phone Galaxy s5. So, if you want to be fair, give me the second-hand 'like new' phone, but then also reduce my monthly Edge payment to reflect the market price of a second-hand phone. PAP2T-NA will not make outgoing calls with Asterisk

I have a PAP2T-NA connected to a Uniden cordless phone and an Asterisk server with working trunks. Inbound calls work fine - the phone rings and sound works both ways. However I am unable to make outbound calls through the PAP2T, even to other local extensions or just to voice mail. After dialing an extension, I hear a short pause and then a fast busy signal.
Dial plan is (*xx|x.). This is all I see with syslog when calling extension 1000 through sip1 (* server):

I've tried various codecs and regional settings to no effect. Setting an outbound proxy makes no change. Is there something simple I'm missing? Thanks!

           Is your voice provider Vonage then Vonage Supports 7-,10- and 11- digit dialing.Use 7-,10- or 11- digit dialing for calls within the same area code as your Vonage phone number. Use 10- or 11- digit dialing for calls outside of your area code.
           Also forward the ports 53, 69, 5060-5061and 10000-20000 for the adapter  IP address.

IPhone 6 Plus cannot make outgoing calls and cannot send text messages

I haven't been able to make outgoing calls and outgoing messages through my iPhone6+ since yesterday.
I have done research and have tried suggestions like turning the phone into airplane mode, turning off the iPhone, re-setting the network settings, erased all the content of my iPhone and restored backup, erased all contents and used as new phone but I still cannot make outgoing calls nor can I send test messages. At first I thought I did not have sufficient money on my sim card however when I tried my simcard on another iPhone, it worked perfectly. I also tried another simcard on my iPhone, but it still can't make a call. I have never had this problem since I got my new iPhone6+ last December. This is the first time I've had a problem like this with an iPhone and I've been using the iPhone since iPhone 4s,iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. Could there be something wrong with the unit that I have? Is there any other troubleshooting I could do?

If you restored the device as new and it did not work, then I suggest you contact your carrier. The function of phone calls and SMS messages is a carrier function. They would need to test your account. Your only other option would be to make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have the device examined.
Can you receive a call and/or message? If so, then I would suspect the SIM and the carrier.

My iPhone 4s will not make any sound! & Siri gone!

My iPhone will not make any sound. No ringers, alerts, or even music from my library! I did a reset of all settings thinking it would fix the problem, however all that did was lose my Siri! Very frustrated. All the settings in my phone are correct, and the side button is in the up position. I am able to talk on the phone with no problems, but my speaker phone will not work. Its almost as if my speaker wont make noise?
Not sure if anyone else has had this problem? If so how did you fix it?!

Sorry. The jailbreak is undoubtedly the root cause of your problem.
It is not always possible to repair the damage done by jailbreaking.
Try searching google for an answer, but be prepared to just buy a new phone.

something very simple you can attempt first is to reset the network settings:
To reset your network settings, tap Settings > General > Reset, then scroll down and tap Reset Network Settings.
This will clear your current cellular and Wi-Fi network settings, including saved networks, Wi-Fi passwords, and VPN settings.

Can your wife make phone calls to others? If her number is not blocked on your device, there is no reason you should not receive a call from her, unless she cannot make calls to others. A block would be the only reason you should not receive a call. Check with your carrier to make sure there is no restriction on their end.

My S3 will not make/receive calls or send texts.

Since a trip about 3 weeks my phone has had an issue with making/receiving calls and sending texts. It is random, won't work at home or work one day but will the next however it is getting worse. I do not have any issue with mobile data and I receive texts with no problem. Also have an issue when the phone does make a call no one can hear me...I can hear them just fine. My be a seperate issue however the microphone issue started the same time as the other issue. Any suggestions?

Can not make outgoing calls???

When I dial out, the E for edge network disappears and I can not hear a ring. The iphone makes the call but the it won't ring and I can't hear anything when the person picks up. Right now my iphone has no calling function whatsoever. When someone calls me and I pick up they I can not hear them and they can not hear me.
