TS3477 How can I view movies, pictures, etc from Mac Book Pro (bought in he States) on a Sony TV(in Europe). Do you have change the settings on the Mac to comply with the european TV ?

I have a Mac book pro ( 7,1 version ) bought in the US and want to see some videos, pictures and movies on a Sony TV with HDMI connection (in Europe).
When connecting both the pc and the tv, I get on the tv the opening screen of a mac book pro but although a movie is playing on the pc it does not show on the tv. Do I have to change something in the displays on the system preference screen ?

By 'opening screen' do you mean the spiral galaxy desktop? If so, then, with the TV connected to the MBP, open System Preferences ➜ Displays ➜ Arrangement. You will see an image of two screens. At the top of the smaller of the two screens in the image is a small bar, this represents the menu bar at the top of your display. Drag this small bar to the top of the larger of the two screens in the image. The menu bar and dock will now appear on the TV which is now the primary display and all the action will take place there.

If you mean backed up as part of an iPhone backup in iTunes? If so, you would have to use 3rd party software to extract them from the backup, such as iPhone Backup Extractor.

Usually, to copy photos from most phones, you either use a USB cable and connect the phone in USB Mass Storage (or disk) mode if the phone supports it. Then just drag and drop files from the phone disk that appears on the Mac desktop. Alternatively, if the phone has Bluetooth capability you send photos via Bluetooth using the File Manager of the phone (consult your phone manual on how exactly to do this), or using the "Bluetooth File Exchange" application on your Mac. Are you aware it only syncs iMessages. Also once enabled only new messages will sync, try messaging the user from the Mac and see if that gets things going for you.

For programs that do not require an Administrator's password to install on your Mac, drag its program icon to the Trash. For those that require a password, research its developer's website or other support options for specific uninstallation instructions.

To ensure you don't lose any data you don't want taken off, ensure that each Summary, Apps, Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, iTunes U, Books, & Photos have the settings you would prefer on the computer.
If anything gets changed on any of those pages, you will be prompted with that message. If they look fine, especially after adding some media like songs or videos, then you can apply the changes without fear.

Constant "you have changed the settings for the iphone" in iTunes

On my iPhone 4, I can sync my phone with no issues, and when the sync is done and I switch over to the iTunes store or my library, it always pops up with "You have changed the settings for the iphone "my iPhone". Would you like to apply these settings?"
I can hit apply, go to something different, come back, do nothing but sync my phone again, and as soon as I switch back to something else, I get the message again...

From what I've gathered. There has been an increasing number of issues ever since iTunes 9 and more problems with iOS4 for the non iPhone 4 users.
It's such a shame because I used to actually comment on how iTunes worked seamlessly and so quickly. This actually feels as if I'm running a typical bloated windows software now. [And to my great surprise, an equal number of people using iTunes on MacOS have given the same kind of feedback. I originally thought it was restricted to just windows users.]
