TS3623 Apple TV 3 Full WIFI 24Mbit/S. SLOW Netflix & Youtube Streaming

My Apple TV Streams fine from my Computer however; Netflix and Youtube are extremely slow, and Netflix only begins to stream content at an awful resolution. Apple TV 3 shows FULL Wifi strength, and my laptop in the same rooms gets 24MBit/s. HELP!!!!!!
I've done everything possible to sort out this issue and have no other thoughts on this other than it's a Apple TV 3 issue.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

My iPhone 5 connects to wifi but shows one bar on the wifi signal meter but my iPad2 and Macbook Air both show full wifi bars when all three are side by side next to my apple router. Do I have an antenna problem with my iPhone 5?

It appears that my iPhone 5 has a wifi signal reception issue. I only show one bar on the wifi signal meter even when I an next to the router. Both my Macbook Air and my iPad2 show full wifi signals at the same time. Rebooting the Apple router and each device results in the same meter readings.

Does this occur with any Wi-Fi connection? Or only a specific one?
If it occurs with any Wi-Fi connection, take it to Apple.
If it is only occurring with a specific Wi-Fi connection, it is an issue with that Wi-Fi connection.
Try the following, it may help:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Forget the Wi-Fi connection on the iPhone then reconnect.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).

Sorry, I updated another thread I was a part of but didn't update my own thread.....ughhh!
I updated all of my ATV 2's and 3's to the latest firmware when it was released and have been problem free since. I do believe the major issue of not being able to connect after a period of inactivity has been corrected with the latest ATV firmware.
I can look at my network connection table using "netstat -an" in a CMD window and I do not see the massive number of connections I saw before the update.

Hi I had the same macbook and internet connection for about 5 years with no problems but suddenly a couple of days ago I can't connect to the internet. I have full wifi and am using my phone with it but something seems to have changed on my mac. I've read the responses to similar queries as I see that this happens quite frequently but I don't really understand them. Could someone please explain to me how to fix this in simple layman's terms? My iPod touch won't send a message to all the people in my message conversations list even though I have full wifi! They have already sent a million messages to me but I can't send one back now it just says messages not delivered!

The three steady beeps indicates no ram or failed ram. Try removing and reseating the ram first. If that doesnt help take one module out and try with just the other one. Still no good, try only the other module. You'll also have to swap slots with the modules. You'll hopefully eventually isolate the problem to one module,
If after all the testing you still can't get it going you'll need to take it to your Apple Store or AASP for service as you may have a bad ram slot.

What IP does your iPad show as having?
Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons together for 10+ seconds, ignoring the red power-off slider, until you see the Apple logo.
Some folks have discovered that changing their DNS service fixes FaceTime connection issues.
The ideal way is to configure your modem/router with DNS service, but often settings in System Preferences/Network on your Mac will override the router settings. Try either of these;
OpenDNS
208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
Google Public DNS
8.8.8.8. 8.8.4.4

TS1398 Full WIFI signal - no connection

My Ipad1 sees a full WIFI signal, requests the password and prompts if the password is incorrect, but fails to latch on i.e. no tick mark but a constant rotating circle, any ideas?
I have tried a restore.

Creating a new apple id for my wife

I currently have one Apple ID and run iTunes on a Windows 7 PC. This is synced to 2 iPhones, 2 iPads and 2 iPods as well as 2 Apple TV's. All the Apps purchased, updated and shared between all the devices are controlled using iTunes depending on whose iphone etc is connected.
This has worked quite successfully till now but if we use imessage on the phones it gets very confusing and for that reason I would like to set up a new Apple ID for my wifes iPhone and iPad. What I don't understand is the implications of this with regard to all the previously purchased Apps. Will she loose access to these when I sign in on iTunes to her new Apple ID. Are there any other issues I should be aware off before going down this route. Will all my music and films still be available for her to load on her iPhone and iPad ? Any advice and help much appreciated.

Thanks for the question, and what a great question it is.
You are absolutely right, there are some tweaks we will want to make to continue the configuration you have right now. My recommendation? Create a new Apple ID for your Wife, but only use this Apple ID for iMessage/FaceTime.
There are four different accounts you can be signed into on an iOS device: iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and iTunes and App Stores. Theoretically, you could be signed into four separate accounts for each of these. For your situation, your Wife would only sign into iMessage and FaceTime with her account, and continue to use the family account for iTunes and App Stores.

As they recommend and as always when you're messing with administrator accounts back everything up first.
