My screen has been reading for about a week: Unable to Sign In, Apple TV can't connect to the server at this time. Please try later. What do I do to get pass this screen. I purchased a movie series season from HBO and I can't watch it because I can't pass this screen.

If you are still having trouble, you can try to reset your equipment by unplugging Apple TV, your television, your wireless networking equipment or AirPort Base Station, and your router from their power outlet. Wait 30 seconds, then plug everything back in.

I was running into the same issue for the past few days and decided... Heck, just try the old fashioned way and unplug the thing. Boom. Fixed it. Try unplugging it and doing the old reset and see how that goes.

• I was happily watching all itunes media on my apple tv but then apple tv asked me to upgrade.
• I upgraded.
• Now it can't connect to any menus related to the itunes store.
• I verified I have the latest upgrade to itunes.
• Homesharing is turned on.
• I have restarted apple tv numerous times.
• I CAN'T watch or listen to itunes 'movies', 'tv shows', 'music', 'podcasts' via apple tv.
• I CAN watch netflix, youtube, movies on my mac, itunes radio.
• I CAN connect to the itunes store via my mac.
• I get this error on apple tv 'unable to sign in' 'apple tv can't connect to the server at this time. please try later.'Lets be frank: this is an internal server communication issue at Apple that they don't want to fix or acknowledge. This "unable to sign in" or unable to communicate issues are all about purchase validation ONLY. That is where it hangs up. For example, I can see favorites but it won't access my list of purchased items. And yet - the only advice they have is reboot?
The same issue happens when trying to watch Netflix on ATV. It can't connect to the Netflix server but gosh golly gee, I switch to my Roku box and no problem. Unfortunately for Apple, while I'm over there I'm starting to to buy movies and shows from Amazon
Apple doesn't make it's money from the $99 Apple TV sale - it's the iTunes purchases. If we want them to listen we need to interrupt that revenue stream. -
i just down loaded the latest software to my Iphone 4s and eevrything was ok until it said to "install now" i said ok and it keeps coming back with software is not available at this time please try later??? what does this mean??

jeffI imagine millions upon millions of people are attempting to download and install it right now. Simple patience, maybe keep trying, and if possible, try a little later. Think of it as all those people lining up at Apple Stores + a few million more.

Have tried all resets...no change. All signs indicate good internet connectivity.
Well if you have reset everything did you re-enter all the login information? If not then it will not be able to login.

I just bought a 3rd generation ipod touch. It was professionally refurbished. I'm trying to set it up, and everything seems to be working fine, until we get to the wifi. I live on campus and our wifi is username and password protected. I signed in and everything seemed to work fine, and in the top left hand corner I have all the bars for wifi. However, when I go to sign in with an apple ID it says 'Could no sign in: there was a problem connecting to the server'. I've tried turning it on and off again, tried signing on to our wifi again, but it all isn't working. What can I do?
I also encountered the same problem. Try using a different email address or try signing in later.

I have recently got an iPhone 4 out of no where it has decided to think that my headphones are in and they are not but does work with headphones in.
Then later on within the same day it after turning my phone on and putting it on charge it comes to the screen stating to connect to iTunes/emergency calls only/no service so I connect it iTunes and it says we are unavailable to continue with your activation at this time. Whenever i purchase or download an app on the app store , it always gives me this error message " unable to purchase at this time, please try again later"

Is your phone jailbroken or ever been hacked?
Was it previously locked to a different phone carrier than the current one your on now? -
Cannot download OSX Maverick? My current system is Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and even when logged into the app store I'm getting the message that I can not download at this time. Try Later?
Are you connected via wifi? If so, and it is an option, try connecting using a ethernet cable. It sometimes seems to help as it can give a more reliable connection for the 5.3gb download.
If you do manage to download it you may want to make a copy of the installer file - which gets downloaded to the Applications folder - before running it as it self-deletes on successful installation. It may save you another monster download in the future.
