TS3634 videos on the ipad see andd play videos but imovie dosent see these items
i have imported the videos into several different formats for the ipad to try and see them and they do, however the imovies dose not see them at all. how do iget them to see these items so i may edit them in imovie
You need to save to the camera roll of the iPad, not the Movies app.
So you will need to save the videos to the iPad via the Photos Tab.
If you can see the video in the photos app then iMovie can see them.
If you can see the videos in the movies app then iMovie cannot (Movies is for copyright movies so iMovie does not look there).

the DCIM folder is just a folder called DCIM . Just like a camera would create, so does the iPad. Both your videos and your photos are located inside that folder.
In Windows Explorer: Computer\iPad's Name\Internal Storage\DCIM
Instead of Rick's iPhone it will have your iPad's name. whatever it may be. -
How can I watch 1920x1080 60p video in the iPad?
Background - I recently purchased a Sony Camcorder. It records in AVCHD format 1920x1080 60p. I have converted the AVCHD format to .mov using clip wrap but I cannot sync the file to my iPad 3 with iTunes probably because the iPad can only play up to 30 fps and this video is in 60 fps. I can record in a lower quality mode of 1440x1080 30 fps but the quality is significantly less. Is there a way to make this compatible somehow to play on the iPad? Maybe convert it from 60 fps to 30? I know there must be a way. I have a 3rd party app called Filebrowser and when I play the .mov 1920x1080 60p file directly from the source (my MacBook) it plays it on the iPad and the quality is incredible. Only problem is that since it is streaming the iPad can't stream fast enough to play it without pausing every 5 seconds. If my camera could record in 1920x1080 30p I wouldn't have this issue but for some reason Sony doesn't allow this. I chose Sony because the video is significantly better than Canon, Nikon and other brands. Does someone please have a suggestion? I have been researching for hours so if there is another forum post that explains I am sorry I could not find it and I have a migraine from searching. I am definitely an amateur at best trying to get great quality home video on my retina display iPad. What good does the retina display do if I have to watch mediocre video quality. I too would like to know the answer to your question. I don't thnk the answer you got was what you were looking for. I would go to the Digital Vdeo Infrmation Network forums and ask there about which is the best software to convert 60p to 30p. I don't remember off hand how exactly to do it. But it is a little complecated as I recall. People over there will be more than helpful.
I took 720p 60fps footage when I should have taken 30p footage with my Canon 60D camera.
I just hope that in the next IOS6 update that we will be able to import 60d footage. But I am not holding my breath.
I can't see why 60D footage would not be possible on the ipad3. It is the same amount of data bits. 1280x720 60p vs 1920x1080 30p.

How can i stream only the tone of a youtube video (app) to my atv3 and watch the video on the ipad?
I want to watch the video on my ipad and listen to it trough my receiver which is connected to the atv3. Always when i try to watch a video it streams tone and video to the atv and i cant see the video on the ipad.

Is there any Vga adaptor for the Ipad 2 that is VIDEO IN rather than VIDEO OUT? is for a student with visual impairment who needs to view the classroom digital board content from a very short distance, like the distance to an Ipad for example, so the Ipad would be ideal as an interactive monitor with typography and content easy to amplify.
At the moment, this student has a traditional flat screen monitor taking over the table next to him, so no other child can seat in it, and he has no opportunity to befriend and sporadically joke with anybody else. So much for "inclusion".

iMac Computer using 10.7.5, running iTunes 11.1.5, and using an iPad 2 with os 7.1 . I have over 300 movies in my library and when I share using video on the iPad, the titles covers are all on the wrong movies. How do I fix this?

I'm glad iTunes is working now! If you want to locate iTunes plug-ins on your computer, you can find them in the following locations (you may not have the iTunes Plug-ins folder if you do not have plug-ins):
Mac:
/Users/username/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/
/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/
One thing I also wanted to mention is that the "Users/username/Library" is hidden in Lion and Mountain Lion. You can access it using these steps:

The Library folder contains files used by OS X and your apps, including your personal fonts and preferences. The Library folder is hidden. If you need to open it, make sure you are in the Finder, hold down the Option key, and then choose Go > Library.

How do I put videos on the iPad w/o synching with iTunes?
I just bought the iPad 2 from a friend of mine. It is "tethered" to his computer. Meaning it won't let me sync my iTunes videos and music to it w/o doing the erase & sync. I'm hesitant to do that just yet because I have already dialed in the settings I like, and he has some paid apps I don't want to get rid of.
My question is...
Can I put videos on the iPad without iTunes?
I've tried apps like Drop Box, but they don't let you download to your iPad. Just stream. and when I'm at work, I have no internet connection.
Thank you.Unfortunately, if you want to make full use of this iPad, you really have no choice, but to do an erase and resync with your own iTunes/Apple ID account or create a new account of your own.
There is really no workaround. If you want to sync to your own iTunes library, purchase music,movies, books, and apps of your own via Apple's iTunes Store, you'll need to completely erase and resync this iPad. As it is, if you wish to purchase apps that aren't free, they'll end up being charged to your friend's Apple ID account. I do not think that'll be appreciated.
If you insisted on leaving the iPad in its current state. I was going to suggest a paid app called Photo Transfer App that also allows transfers of movies that might work for you, but because you're still linked to your friend's account this would not be advisable.
Plus, using this iPad with two different accounts (one on your computer and a different one on the iPad) you would end up purchasing this app twice to get the functionality you need. Again using your friend's account.
The paid apps on this iPad will always be linked to your friend's Apple ID account.
You really need to reinitialize (erase) and resync with your own iTunes and Apple ID account and purchase these on your own.

I am trying to clear space on our iPad. If I delete photos and videos on the iPad, will they remain saved on our iCloud account? Need the space, don't want to lose the photos!
They will be backed up only until you backup again. iCloud is not a storage drive in the sky, it is a backup service only. If you delete the photos and videos from the camera roll, and then you backup the iPad with iCloud, you will overwrite that backup and the photos will be gone.
Import the photos to your computer if they are that important to you. iCloud is for backup only, not a storage place that you can download your photos from again once you overwrite that backup.

There are diagonal stripes on some clips on the timeline and wont play video in the program monitor.
After reconnecting some origianl files after a hard drive crashed, there are diagonal stripes on some clips on the timeline that wont play video in the program monitor. They do however play in the source monitor.
Those stripes are most likely the missing media indicators, which means you've relinked to the wrong clips.

When I connect my ipad to the computer and click import photos and videos, the computer says that there are no photos or videos on the ipad it says the file is empty I can't even add anything to the file!!!!!
It looks like the card may be the problem, and your best bet is to try the Card Reader - this will make the card accessible by the Finder and you may be able to drag the pics off to the desktop or, at worst, try recover the pics with an app like MediaRecover
