hi, i have iphone 3gs version 4.1 ....today i was updating my iphone with itunes to latest version so i made back up and click on update iphone .....I restored my iPhone and when I go past the language, country, and wifi selection I hit next. After I wait, it says that "Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. now what to do?? itunes is also not detecting my iphone and iphone is restarting again and again.....need help..

Here is a link from AT&T that tells how to reset your voicemail password. I have had the same problem as you before, and I didn't remember my password, so I used this link to reset it. I hope this will help you.

Big problem wile updating Iphone 4 ¿Anyone can PLEEEEESE HELP?

I downloaded first the last version of software (recommended by ITunes) for my IPhone 4.
Once the full software was downloaded I contacted the IPhone to my windows computer and asked ITunes to update the system.
ITunes send a mistake error at the end of the Update and the screen of the iPhone just turned as the one I’m sending on the image.
Now the phone does not restart and ITunes does not recognize the phone, It is simply stuck on this mode.
Can someone help?
I need to start working tomorrow and basically I depend on this phone.
I just fallowed iTunes recommendation but turned to be a horrible dead end.

You need to update as always.

Can someone help? I am trying to update my old iPhone 3gs 8gig. Still on iOS4, and need to update it to iOS6. Because it's still on iOS 4 i can only update via iTunes, however, as soon as i start the update download, it runs up until the last few megabytes and then it just quits, and the update has to be downloaded all over again only to get to 784 of the 786mb download and it quits again...i am using a wifi network, so it cant be the connection...
Any suggestions?

You can do a google and find out how to download the file from another source, then also find out how to manually update your phone. It isn't hard, and maybe that will get you going.

PROBLEMS IN UPDATING IPHONE SOFTWARE

everytime i have tried to update the iphone software it shows a message at the end before processing the file like network connection time out. Can anybody help me out. i have iphone 3GS.

Purchased apps can be re-downloaded for free. As to you not having a backup to restore from, do you regularly sync your phone? The first thing done when you do sync is an iphone backup. Updating software does not delete your backup. Have you looked under Itunes>Preferences>Devices>Backups to see if a backup is listed?

Wifi problems with my iPhone 4S since 6.1.2 update

I thought I had fixed this problem with my iPhone with a change in my home router settings but I did not. Since the 6.1.2 update I have had problems with my wifi connections. I have an Airport Extreme wifi network with multiple airport extremes extending the signal throughout our house. I am only able to communicate with the internet using our wifi network if I am in the same room as the main airport extreme. If I am a room away from any of the routers I get a message that my iPhone "can't join the wireless network". If I am in a room standing near one of the other airport extremes I can join the network, my iPhone will show that I am connected to the wifi network with a full signal but I have no communication with the internet. How I have determined this is by turning cellular off, wifi on & attempted to pull up a web page. When I do this anywhere other than by our main Airport Extreme I get the message that I am not connected to the Internet.
We have multiple other devices on our home wifi network, i.e. other iPhones, iPads, computers, etc. We aren't having this problem with any other of our devices. I am not sure if this is a software corruption issue or a hardware issue. I have not dropped my iPhone or done anything else to it that might have damaged it. I have tried resetting the wireless networks on my iPhone & that has not worked. I have read these boards & have tried the various suggestions, including the one about putting your iPhone in the freezer. (When I told my husband about trying the freezer suggestion he seriously thought I had lost my marbles...)
I would appreciate any other thoughts or suggestions that anyone has.

I have a diff issue!!! I has still able to connect to wifi network I had connected before the update to 6.1.2. But few days back when I tried connecting to a new wifi network and it kept saying incorrect password. The worst thing happened after I look up online for help that say try the " reset network setting" solution!! After I did the "reset network setting" step I bloody **** looses all connection to those network I had connected to before the update and I can't get back connection now. *** did apple still allow their users to update a software that has so many bugs. They should had prevent their users from updating right after they know there are bugssssss..!!!!!

I went to a apple store at South Park, Charlotte NC,
and found out the worst customer service (in my case)
They don't have answers and don't understand about "dont let any customer go away sad or mad"
I explain to them that I did everything they said to fix the problem, even to dounload the iOS 6.1.3
that was supposed to fix the problem.
they said fix the problem in other phones but not in mine.
So here I am with no wifi and bluetooth, with apple technicians and experts that don't know what to do with the problem that the sofware they developed cause in my iphone 4s.
and the solution is for me to pay $199.00 US dollars for a problem that I did not cause.
wich means to buy something else from apple to fix a problem that it is not my fault.

I would like to have an answer from you guys and see if someone there have a better answer for me that shows support, values and integrity as a grest company with solutions for your customers.
Dont think that I want a new phone, I want mine fixed if is possible.

Apple isnt here. this is a user based forum for technical questions. The solution is to restart, reset, and restore as new which is in the manual after that get it replaced for hard ware failure. if your within your one year warranty its replaced if it is out of the warranty then it is 199$
