TS3682 When i plug my ipad into pc it restores it with info from my ipod? What am i doin wrong?

Not sure what to do

It seems to be a very common comment that an iPad is recognized as a camera by either a pc or a Mac. Happens to me all the time. I ignore the box that comes up and I dismiss it. Then I start iTunes and the iPad will sync normally.
Not sure on the PC but on a Mac the program Image Capture handles what happens when a camera is attached to the computer. There is probably a similar program for the pc. On a Mac start Image Capture and then go to it's preferences. There will be a choice for what application should open or what should happen when a camera is connected to the computer. For Image Capture select Nothing. Then save the preference and quit the program. The next time you connect your iPad nothing should startup.
When you do connect a camera you will have to manually start up Image Capture or whatever other software you use to transfer photos from the camera to your computer.

  • When I plug my iPad into my Mac it will not sync

When I plug my iPad into my Mac it will not sync and my iPad will not charge. I've used every chord that I own. In addition, I've plug other things into my Mac and they work fine. If I plug my iPad into the wall it charges.

Then it doesn't seem like its the cable then does it.
If the iPad isn't being recognized in iTunes, you can start with something very simple. Quit iTunes, reboot your iPad, restart your Mac and then try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If it still isn't being seen by iTunes, look for help here.

  • When I plug my iPad into a wall circuit and leave it for 18 hours the battery level only goes from 55% to 66% and then it quotes charging. Is this normal or do I have trouble with my adapter, it is the one that came with the iPad?

When I plug my Ipad into a wall circut it will not fully charge, It only charges up to 66% does anyone no why?

I can't tell you why it is doing this but it should not take anywhere near that long to recharge.
Try another power adapter if you have access to one - borrow one from a friend, try another wall socket, another cable ... take it to an Apple Store and let them try to charge it for you.
You can try resetting the iPad and see if that helps but I have my doubts - but it will not hurt anything either.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Your battery gauge may be giving you an incorrect reading - but I think that would be a long shot as well. How many hours of use do you get at 66%?
You can read this about the iPad battery and how to maintain and care for the battery. .

    Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

  • When you plug your ipad into your computer is it meant to charge?

When you plug your ipad into your computer is it meant to charge ?

    Not necessarily...
    iPad Charging
"The fastest way to charge your iPad is with the included USB Power Adapter.
iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter.
When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge, but only when it's in sleep mode.
Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain."

  • HT4060 When I plug my iPad into charge it constantly beeps whereas in the past it just beeps once.

When I plug my iPad Air into charge it bleeps constantly whereas in the past it just bleeped once then charged

    Hi Lindsay0810,
If you are having charging issues with your iPad, you may find the following article helpful. In particular, if you are having recurring beeps from your iPad when charging, you may want to check you cable connections and possibly try another cable/charger if available to see if the issue persists.

  • When I plug my ipad into my computer nothing happens

I have the ipad 2 and I cnat sync it to my computer.
I have the latest update of itunes and nothing happens when I plug it in
How can I sync my music and make the computer recognise it?
    Thank you

Keep in mind, the new iTunes is in a different format.  To revert to a more familiar format:
In the top menu bar in iTunes, select
    1.  View
    2.  Show sidebar
Is the device now on the more familiar left hand pane or still not recognized?

  • When I plug my iPad into my charger it won't charge. Anything I can do?

Recently I got a new wire for my iPad, and since I've gotten it whenever I plug my iPad in to charge, it doesn't work the first time, or second, or third.. I have to keep retrying until it works, which is usually about 20 times.. But now it's really not working.. I must have done it over 100 times but nothing is happening.. If you could help me or have been through a similar problem and could give me some advice that would be great!

If you got a new cord, it appears you got a defective one.  Take it back and get a new one.  I'm afraid none of us can help you if you have a defective cord.

  • The screen on my iPhone 4 turned black while i was using it-it was not dropped or damaged in anyway. The phone itself is still working as it comes up in itunes when I plug the phone into my computer, but the screen is completley black. What can I do?

The screen on my iPhone has gone black while I was using it. It just "shut off". The phone is still working  as I can hear/see it when it plugs into the computer, but the screen just wont turn on. I've tried the soft reset "holding down home and lock screen" and i've tried to restore settings. I went to the apple store and they said I had to send it to my provider (in another country) but my phone contract has run out.
Is there a way to fix this?
If not, is there some way apple can replace the phone? It's less than 2 years old. Surely the screen shouldn't just give out like that.
    Thank you
