iTunes Match is a subscription system that allows you to upload your own music (e.g. coped from CDs) to the cloud so that it shows (in the cloud) on your devices and computers without having to sync/copy it.
Automatic downloads allows to, for example, buy an app on your computer's iTunes and have it automatically download on your phone without having to connect and sync it or go to the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your download and download it yourself - but doing that, going to the Purchased tab and redownloading an app, should get it associated.
But no, I'm not aware of any problems that not having it associated causes.

Yes, it will keep the music.
Close all open apps or programs. Open iTunes, look for Check for Updates in the menu and click on that. Then follow the prompts.
When the update is done. Open iTunes and in the menu look for show sidebar and click on that, then connect your iPhone to iTunes, click on your phone's name on the Sidebar, review all the tabs to make sure your sync option are what you want them to be (music, movies, photos, books, etc.) and after that click sync or apply and wait for the sync to finish.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)

my laptop will not open iTunes, as it just says 'This version of iTunes has not been correctly localised for this language. Please run the English version'. I have not synconised my iPhone 5S or iPad 2 with iTunes for well over a year. I noticed the music which had previously been put into iTunes has dissappeared from my phone and iPad. I also want to remove some movies from my iPad and iPhone and there is no way I can do this without being able to manually sync with the Laptop which is running windows 7. Has anyone else come across this and please can you help? I am no expert in fact I know very little about the Laptop, it is my Husbands baby but he doesn't understand anything to do with Apple including iTunes. I will need any advise explained step by step please.

I can't install or uninstall iTunes on my laptop. I've followed all the steps on Apple Support as well as Microsoft support. I get the error "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Pick an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi". This has been going on for a couple of weeks now and I'm very frustrated. From what I can see, I'm not the only one with this problem, but I have yet to see anyone post a solution that works. Microsoft wants to charge me $99 to troubleshoot it for me and Apple will charge $20. I think both are ridiculous as this is obviously not "operator error".

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

I try to open a picture in photoshop to edit it. I am really new to photoshop. I have previously used photoshop elements 6 and 7 and I am trying to take a class in photoshop and I am on the first lesson. I did okay the first night. Then I looked at the Adobe website and there was a patch for photoshop. I downloaded the patch. Now when I try to open a picture to edit it I get a photoshop.exe.-application error message. The instruction at "0x0bb82c5b" referenced memory at "0x00000028". The memory could not be read. Click on Ok to terminate the program. Click on cancel to debug the program. No matter what I click on I get kicked out of photoshop. I am currently on hold for technical support but it sounds like I have to pay for it. I have edited exactly 2 pictures in a program that I payed 600.00 plus dollars for. This doesn't really right. Help please.

Hi, I have a problem with my old Iphone 3G, I upgraded to a Iphone 4 ages ago and just kept my old phone in a drawer, now I want to give it to my niece, so decided to plug into Itunes to reset it ready for her, it said it needed to update and download, it did that, but failed and said to restore it, but I keep getting 1015 error when it goes through the restore.
Any ideas and options other than going to Genious Bar ?

My playlists only appear in itunes when my ipod is connected, and it will not allow me to drag songs into playlists from the music library, can anyone help. Have downloaded newest version of itunes and using windows xp.

Is it possible that you are not seeing the thirteenth song because you did not scroll all the way down within the playlist?
