My ipad restarts on its own and when I'm trying to restore it, it says error -1. Please advise

My iPhone 5 wouldn't start after I turned it off a few minutes after writing this. It went into recovery mode and I had no choice but to connect to iTunes on PC and restore.
I restored to factory setting first, just to validate my phone was okay. For a second consecutive iOS update, the iPhone 5 did not update smoothly while connected to PC and iTunes - I had to retry two times before the progress bar for the update showed. (The exact same problem with the restart occured when I updated to 7.0.4.)
The good news is that I was ultimately able to restore the iPhone 5 to factory settings while running iOS 7.0.6. I did have a backup from about a month ago lying around and was able to successfully restore with that as well, so the damage done is almost negligible since I had my contacts, notes, mail, etc. backed up to iCloud.
Once I completed both restores, the sync with iTunes worked fine.

Try a reset and see if the popup disappears after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

No data is lost due to a reset.
Then restart the device.

Try activating your iPad using another WiFi network
Ask someone who does have a computer running iTunes for help.

Thank you so much for the response. This half sorts out my issue, as turning off Musicmatch means I can load music onto my iPad, but the minute I turn it back on to access my library whilst travelling I will lose what I have loaded as it comes up saying " all music will be erased".
I really apprecaite your time, so will just have to live with what I load. Seems weird that Apple wouldn't consider people want to listen to music on planes or in Non - wifi zones??

TS3694 Error nº 3194 without solution

I had error number 3194 in iTunes while I was trying to update my iPad 2 WIFI firmware from 4.3.3 to 5.1.1 I did everything diferent posts about how to resolve the problem taught me to do, but it persists and I have been three days trying it, what may I do?

Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3014, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
You should be able to update to iOS 6.1.3. Check Hosts file as mentioned in the doc. above.

hi, when i try to sync my pictures with itunes i receive the error below but this is standard jpg picture.
i try to translate "some pictures, as example "img2864.jpg" aren't copied in ipad because they cannot be viewed by ipad.

Apple errors broke my iPad...

Ok, I've had my iPad Mini forsince Febuary now and I have not had a problem until now. I was perfectly fine on iOS 6.1.3 and suddenly I recieve a software update foriOS 7. So I update it and about halfway it says it can't update and to connect to a computer, So I get on my laptop and I update and halfway there I get a notification saying "Error (there numbers here)" and I kept trying, so it finally made it and at about the last few seconds I got a different error and my iPad shut off, I've charged it. I've tried everything I know about an iPad and how to turn it on/off
I didn't jailbreak it, and I didn't try anything like replacing the internal stuff. I just used it for school and home
anyone know whats going on?

Ipad mini wifi problem

hello, currently i'm using ipad mini with ios 6.1.3. the problem is my ipad can't sign in for iTunes and Appstore in setting, it also can't sign in for i cloud. i also face the problem with can't dowload from appstore and its keep saying "cannot connect to apps store, my ipad mini wifi speed also uncosistent, sometime increase and sometime decrease its speed. there is another option to fix this problem? thanks you

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.
