TS3694 error 1645

Hi im having trouble with the WIFI it will no longer connect to my wireless network at home which is working fine an another iPhone 4S and also an Ipad i just tried to restore to the factory settings and even tried restarting the phone nuimerous times it came up with an ERROR 1645 when i tried to restore any ideas on what i could do or what can cause it to no longer work?

I had two iPhone 3gs that were working perfectly until I updated to iTunes 10. Now I have two iPhone bricks stuck on the connect to itunes screen. They both show in itunes when i connect them and both go thru the restore process all the way to the end. Then i get error "1645" or "-1" and "iPhone could not be restored" message and they both go back to connect to itunes screen. I've updated iTunes, security software, windows vista and tried to update itunes which says i have the most current version. What am I doing wrong?

IOS 5.0.1 update on iphone 4s and error 1645

Dear all
I have just tried to update my iphone 4s and am getting a error 1645 which has meant I have wasted hours of my life restoring my phone.
What is 1645 error? i cant find anything about this in the Apple error list.
I have read on a few places that its a hardware issue and some users have had problem on iphone 3g.
Any ideas.

Yep, having the same problem. I use iPad first generation with iOS 5.0.1, it freezes and I have to re-start my iPad quite often. It's different apps that freeze, not the same app every time.
I bought a new iPad 2 for my daughter as a christmas gift, it run well – until I upgraded it to iOS 5.0.1. Now that one freezes too! It's frustrating, especially for my daughter who's so happy about her new iPad 2 and can't use it without the apps keep freezing. This morning she asked me why on earth I bought her this iPad 2 when it's not working, she have to restart it quite often.
Same thing with my iPhone 3GS, use iOS 5.0.1 in that one too. It all started as soon as I got the iOS 5.0.1 inside. Sometimes I can't make a simple phone call since my phonebook freezes. I tap and I tap but nothing happen. So I have to restart my iPhone and then I'm able to make my phone call. And everyone knows that iPhone is not starting up fast either. What if my house is on fire? Well, before I can call the fire department I have to restart my iPhone!! I don't trust my iPhone because the phonebook freeze.
I'm a Macaholic, I use Apple products everywhere and anytime on a daily basis since years. But Apple products is not what they once were – without so many problems as I experiencing them today.
I really do hope Apple solve this problem with iOS 5.1!!

HT4623 Error 1645 while trying to update iPad to IOS 5?

I can't upgrade to IOS 5. Anyone know what Error 1645 means during the restore process?

It worked for me after I disabled the Passcode, turned off WiFi and Cell networks, closed all apps (hit the home button twice and then hold on an app to bring up the close button). After all that power down and power up. Worked for me then.
However it is probably more related to as others have said the sheer volume of hits.

IPad will not update to iOS 4.2.1 - Error 1645. Help please?

I have managed to download the 4.2.1 software but in the actual updating phase, my iPad reboots and it is after this reboot that an error message pops up "1645- unknown error". I have tried several times to update my iPad but the error message always comes up. I have also tried restoring, which gives the same error message and I have tried using a different computer- once again giving the error message. Thanks for your help in advance!

I got the error 1645 with my iPad2 trying to upgrade to iOS6. I did everything that was described on http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2529?viewlocale=en_US, but nothing helped. Every time I tried to recover I got error 1645 or -1. So I talked with Apple Support and they told me to extend my

amazed because error 1645 isn't documented in their KB. I then tried to downgrade (download the firmware from Apple and select the file after pressing "recover" with option key) - same error again.
They now told me to try it on a different network with a different mac - but that produced the same error again and again.
Apple support finaly told me to send the iPad to them, because that seems to be a hardware defect. We will see …

Did you have modified software installed prior to the update? If yes, this could be a reason for this error. If putting it in recovery mode does not help, the jailbreak damaged your device.

How to fix iPhone 3G "Random Error 1645".

I kept getting the "Unknown 1645" error. iTunes wouldn't let me update/restore my iPhone. Until I came across this, which worked and now my iPhone is fully operational again. I hope others who are experiencing this "Random Error 1645" come across this thread.
1. Disconnect your iPhone cable but leave connected the other USB end to the computer.
2. Turn off your iPhone holding the Sleep/Wake button. The red slider bar appears. Slide the bar and wait until the iPhone turns off. Or you could hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time until the iPhone turns off.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button connect the USB cable to your iPhone. It should power on. Hold the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" message. Open iTunes if necessary. You should see the "iTunes detected an iPhone in recovery mode..." alert screen.
4. Choose "Restore".

The iPhone is not user servicable. You can go to http://www.ifixit.com and get some instruction on how to try if if you want. Given that the 3G has been discontinued for 2 1/2 years, and there isn't much market for it any more, it might be worth your while.
There is no magic that can fix broken hardware.
You can get it replaced by Apple for $149, but at this stage, I think a newer phone would be a better investment.

I am helping a friend trying to upgrade to system 4.1, but when it comes to the ‘restore,‘ it aborts with the error message 1645. I went to the Apple site with all the 1600 series error messages and their fixes, but error 1645 was not among them..., and nothing I tried worked.

Same thing happening to me. Happens on any Mac I attempt to either restore or update with (iMac, MacPro, and two MacBook Pros, from 10.5.8 to 10.6.5). So, it's the iPhone (3Gs in my case). Running 4.0 fine otherwise. Tried all of the reset attempts. Still nothing.

Actually I was able to do a restore in recovery mode and get everything back to normal. Follow:

You may have to repeat steps 3-5 multiple times, but once you are able to get the device turned off it should detech it in recovery mode and you can finalize the restoring process.

Is there a solution to this problem yet? I have updated iOS and iTunes and still i get this error (-4) when I try to sync/backup. And it stays stuck, apparently trying to sync. Very frustrating, especially as Apple have known about this problem for a while now

Eject the iPad from iTunes and the Mac, reboot the Mac again and try resetting the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad start up and then try again.
