anyone help - iphone has died, tried restoringbetc & following all instructions on itunes, now saying cant restore error 1015, tried to follow error message link , not working at all. anyone advice?
also this used t obe my mates phonr so i had to "unlock it" back in feb, but its beenfine since then - just for you info

TS3694 I got error message 1015 when trying to restore settings on iphone 3g any suggestions?

Can Anybody help me here? I tried to update the operating system, via Itunes, on my (second hand) iphone 3G and an error message came up. I then tried to restore but to no avail. I got another error message (1015). I am now unable to use the phone at all. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I did search to try and find a solution. As yet no luck. Someone a little more technically minded might be more successful. However, I haven't given up.

The phone was jailbroken. That's what that error indicates. You can't get help here. You can't get help from Apple.

I went to update it on my computer, but it says it needs an internet connection to restore...and my computer doesn't connect to the internet anymore. TS3694 I've tried to sync my iPhone 3GS, but it'll sync a little and then disconnect when almost done; I get error message 1015, and I don't know what to do. Everything else is fine, my iTunes info is up to date, and so is my OS, ect.

I've tried syncing my iPhone 3GS, but it'll stop when the sync is nearly complete, and the sync is interrupted with an error message reading "Error 1015". I've already tried all of the other things suggested by iTunes (ensuring that my OS is up-to-date, disconnecting other USB cables, ect.), yet this problem persists. Help...

5.0.2 has not been released, thus you can not upgrade.

Hi guys and girls,
I have recently stated to use an I-Phone and have encountered a problem when trying to restore the handset after it has placed itself into recovery mode. The handset currently displays the charger pointing toward the cd/music symbol and when i plug it into my pc i-tunes says it has detected a handset in recovery mode and needs to restore it but when the process looks to have completed the error message comes up the phone "i phone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1015).
Any help with this would be crucially important and I would be very grateful.

Error 1015: This error is caused by attempts to downgrade the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch's software. This can occur when you attempt to restore using an older .ipsw file. Downgrading to a previous version is not supported. To resolve this issue, attempt to restore with the latest iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software available from Apple.
What this means is you have to delete your .ipsw file (it may be corrupted or old) and attempt to restore your iPhone again.
Where the .ipsw file is found:
Mac                         - ~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
Windows XP           - C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
Windows Vista/7     - C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

TS3694 Error message in App Store saying "Can not connect to iTunes Store"?

Just started using my iPad 3 that I just recieved for my birthday a few days ago. Last night went to download a new App from the App store, which was free. After hitting the "free" button and continuing on and hitting the "download App" button I received an error message saying "Can Not connect to iTunes Store" and the word "OK" under that to make it go away. I continued on with other games to see if it was just an issue with that one but no matter what i hit it says that same error message. I spent hours on the phone with Apple Support only to have the gentlemen have me save everything on my iPad onto my iTunes on my PC and then start to Restore to Factory setting and then was told if had any issues to call them back. I left the room for about 5 min. only to come back to have an error message saying "The ipad could not be restored, an unknown error occurred (3014). I was just wondering if anyone else is having any issues similiar to mine. Please advise. My next step is to call back up and ask to speak to a Support Specialist the gentlemen said..once it goes to the "restore" point regular tech support can not help he explained.. Just frustrated after spending over 1 1/2 hrs on the phone to have gotten nowhere and now have to call back and start again with something brand new.. I just think i got a lemon!!

Update to the latest version of iTunes.
Verify the computer's date and time are accurate.
Check that your security or firewall software is not interfering with ports 80 or 443, or with the server gs.apple.com.
Follow Troubleshooting security software. Often, uninstalling third-party security software will resolve these errors.
An entry in your hosts file may be redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see "Unable to contact the iOS software update server gs.apple.com" above).
Internet proxy settings can cause this issue. If you are using a proxy, try without using one.
Test restoring while connected to a known-good network.

I purchased some music from iTunes Store and it won't sync to my iPhone. Here's the error message: "Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPhone because you are not authorized for them on this computer." Computer IS authorized. Computer is MacBook Pro running Mac OS X, version 10.7.5. Phone is iPhone 5C but this also happened with my iPhone 4S. Help!

Okay, just learned how to check which email account was used to authorize the purchases, and that email account was closed a long time ago. So I guess that means I no longer "own" these purchases?
