TS3694 Error message re purchased music

I purchased some music from iTunes Store and it won't sync to my iPhone. Here's the error message: "Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the iPhone because you are not authorized for them on this computer." Computer IS authorized. Computer is MacBook Pro running Mac OS X, version 10.7.5. Phone is iPhone 5C but this also happened with my iPhone 4S. Help!
Thanks.

Okay, just learned how to check which email account was used to authorize the purchases, and that email account was closed a long time ago. So I guess that means I no longer "own" these purchases?

  • TS1424 Error message -042017 purchasing music from i-tunes

Purchasing a bunch of songs from i-tunes ok, but one song cannot be played. Message says I am not authorised to play this song and to authorise. When I try this I get message that I am already authorised (Obviously otherwise I couldn't have purchased all the other songs). The particular song shows in the library list as "AAC audio file" not "Purchased AAC audio file" as all the others. It also shows me for that song an error message (-042017) which says "unknown error has occured while converting file." Cannot find any info on that error message in the i-tunes support area. What's going on? Can anyone help?

That's sounding more like a damaged file than anything else.
I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entry, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

  • "There was an error downloading your purchased music. The disk could no..."

I am trying to download a Video from the new iTunes 6 and I do have an iPod Video, but for some reason everytime I check for purchases to download it, I get this error message: "There was an error downloading your purchased music. The disk could not be read from or written to."
For some reason the Apple Team cannot seem to help me with this, does anyone have any idea what is going wrong? I have purchased the video about 1 1/2 ago and no one has helped me from Apple yet. Please let me know....Thanks so much!

I had this same issue today. I was able to download songs but not videos. It turned out that the machine that I was downloading on was my work machine and my music storage location was redirected to my company server. The path was
    \\Rgafiles-2\bcross$\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music
I suspected that this redirection was an issue so I installed iTunes on another maching and was able to successfully download the song locally. I then copied the .m4v file to my original machine.

  • Disc Error when downloading purchased music videos

    Hi there,
I'm using the latest iTunes and have purchased 3 music videos. When I try to download them, I gett an error saying:
"There was an error download your purchased music. The disc could not be read from or written to"
Strange thing is, the disc is fine (an external Maxtor network drive), I can download normal music files (I've done this successfully since getting this message) so I'm stumped.
I've sent a mail to iTunes support, but I thought I'd see if anyone else has had this problem and can recommend a fix.
    Cheers,
    Pete

    Hello Peter,
Check out the suggestions in this Apple Support article below:
"Disk could not be read from or written to"
Also, if your videos were only partially downloaded and you'd like to retrieve them, then you can go to "Advanced> check for purchases..." in iTunes, and see if that works.
    I hope this helps!

Double check to see that your "itunes music library.itl" (or "iTunes Library.itl") file or the folder it resides in (the ‘iTunes’ folder) is not read-only.
Using Windows Explorer, right-click on the file (or folder) name, go to Properties.
If it is read-only, then close iTunes, change it, and reopen iTunes.

  • HT201209 If I have redeemed my my gift and the balance is updated in the App Store and I still can not down load apps...what could the issue be?  I keep getting this error message "Your Purchase Could Not Be Completed". Then it refers me to apple support.

If you haven't already contacted iTunes Support then you can do so via this link and ask them why the message is appearing (we are fellow users here on these forums, we won't know why) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Error message when downloading music after purchase

I've never had a problem downloading songs from itunes before. I just purchased 3 songs and now, it gives me an error message saying that there is an error and the files are corrupted. When I try to "check for purchases", they are there, but will not download. Can anyone help me with this? Please email me directly since I'm a dummy when it comes to figuring out these forums. [email protected] Thanks.

Presuming you're using the latest version of iTunes, I'd suggest that you contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their web page and explain the problem to them. They may need to reset the download, or there may be a problem with the tracks themselves.
If you want to be emailed with replies to your questions when you start a topic, click on My Settings on the right of any of these pages, and click "yes" to "always subscribe to topics I create". Then any replies will automatically be emailed to you.
    Good luck.

  • Download error message when purchasing and downloading itunes music

Error message occuring often in the process of downloading music to the itouch, then it says tap to re-try, which does nothing, eventually have to sync with laptop to complete and get music on itouch.

I have this SAME problem, except even when I sync with my computer the error remains. Is there any way to cancel a download from the iPod Touch?

  • I keep getting an error message while downloading music i purchased, how do i solve this issue

Hi All, can you please help. I am struggling to dowload 3 songs from an album i just bought on iTunes. It keeps giving me an error message. What should i do?

You may be able to determine the reason for this error by examining your Mac's logs with Console. To do that find the Console app - it is in your Utilities folder and looks like this
You can find it by selecting Utilities from the Finder's Go menu.
    Open Console.
If the log list column on the left is not already displayed, show the log list by selecting Show Log List from Console's View menu.
Locate system.log in the list and select it. Many date and time-stamped entries will appear, hundreds of them, and you must find the entries relevant to your Mac's problem. To do that choose Clear Display from Console's toolbar. Leave Console running while you choose Print from iPhoto again. Examine any new entries logged in Console. If there are any, copy and paste them in a reply.

This is a terrible customer experience for Apple users. I have been dealing with this same issue since April 2012; all used to work just fine and then suddenly -- "Cannot send message" error appears.
When is Apple going to fix this? I have two iPads and an iPhone but often need to access files from my PC (next time, it'll be a Mac),
    Very frustrating.

  • "Unable to download items" error message on iPhone Music App

On my new iPhone only some of the songs from my itunes song list would download to the "Music" app.  All the Albume covers and titels show in the dowloads section of my itunes app but underneath the song title it says "Download error. Tap to retry"?  When I do I keep getting the error message "Unable to download items"?  Funny because about 10 of the songs from the itunes app moved over to the music app but the rest won't?  Anybody run into this?  Thanks!

I am still working on this problem and I just noticed that when I go back into itunes on my computer and then go to "File" then "Devices" all the tabs under devices are greyed out so I am unable to sync or transfer purchases?

  • Constant Error Messages with Purchasing & Downloading on iTunes with iOS 7

This is getting ridiculous. Ever since I downloaded iOS 7 when it first came out, I've had difficulties making purchases and downloading content wirelessly using iTunes on my iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Every time I tap "Buy" I get a message that says the "Content Cannot Be Purchased At This Time." I then have to close iTunes completely (double-tapping the HOME button and swiping up on the iTunes window), then re-launch iTunes, find the content again and re-hit Buy and then I finally get the button to Download Now and Download Later. Choosing Download Now, I get another error message saying "Content Cannot Be Downloaded At This Time," and I have to do the whole shut down/re-start process all over again to finally have the download start. This happens when I attempt purchases using 3G and on wifi (and I've tried several different wifi networks and I get this error all the time).
I never used ot have problems like this on my 4S or iPad 2 before iOS 7. I tried restoring to factory settings and then moving all the content manually back from the iCloud and my computer and I still get the error. I tried signing out of my AppleID and logging back in, still get the error. I downloaded the latest iOS 7 software (currently running 7.0.4) and I STILL GET THE BLOODY ERROR. Calling AppleCare, they have no freaking clue why I'm getting this error and neither do the Genius Bar people.
There doesn't seem to be anybody else (that I can find online) who has the same problem. But there also doesn't seem to be anybody at Apple looking in to this which is incredibly frusturating. I've been submitting Bug Reports to the Apple Feedback pages for over a year now and still no acknowledgment from Apple. I also have been having the issue where my iPhone/iPad iCal apps keep reversing my Alert preferences (which I've noticed people complaining about for over 3 years with no solution from Apple).
This is getting out of hand. I've been a loyal Apple customer for the better part of a decade. I switched to Apple over PC because of their committment to excellence and relatively lack of bugs in their software. But lately, Apple's quality has suffered tremendously. When there are iOS software glitches that continue after 3 major updates (and several minor ones), clearly Apple engineers don't give a crap about their customers or the user experience. If these issues aren't addressed, I'm seriously going to take my business elsewhere. There is simply no excuse.

  • Error message after purchasing Acrobat XI software

About a month ago, I downloaded a free trial of Acrobat Pro XI and recently started getting popup expiration reminders each time I opened a PDF, so I purchased the software today, downloaded and installed it. I have also registered it with Adobe online. Now, every time I open a PDF, I get a popup titled "Serial number upgrade" asking me which product I already own, and requiring a serial number. Since I just purchased Acrobat Pro XI, it should appear on the drop down menu but does not, and when I enter the serial number, I get an error message stating that the "Serial number you provided was valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer." I've been using the same computer the entire time, so why is the software not found, and why can't I use it without this problem occurring each time?
My expiration reminder also continues to pop up constantly, so I'm wondering why the fact that I've purchased it now hasn't cancelled that out?

    Brad,
I've checked your order history and the order placed for Acrobat XI is for an upgrade. With this error message you need to enter the serial number for Acrobat X purchased earlier. I've emailed the serial number again to you.
    Thanks
    Nikhil
