hello yak-yak, no excuses needed. Your questions are clear enough, well done!
There a LOT of people having problems with the giant step forward (forward?) of iOS7 and the step must be even bigger coming from iOS5.
There are hundreds of extra settings in iOS7 and they are often placed in another group... requires an extended study .
a. People are having "technical" problems, like battery depleting fast, no EiFi, no mobile connection, and so on.
b. People are having perception problems, dizziness, low contrast, small lettering, etc.
c. People are having problems finding their way in the settings, as you have.
Especially the b category problems are annoying.
I can only suggest that you make yourself comfortable and study all settings, then make yourself even more comfortable and attack the irritatng issues, you can start reading here for that:

BTW the error 3194 did it come back?

Try restoring the iPhone to factory settings. If you are having difficult restoring, put the iPhone into Recovery Mode and see if that then works:

If not, or if a restore to factory settings does not fix the problem, then your iPhone may have a hardware problem. You can only get the iPhone serviced by Apple in Canada, so you will have to take the iPhone there or send it to someone you know in Canada who can get the iPhone serviced and send it back to you. The only option for getting service in Pakistan would be to pay some unauthorized repair shop to attempt a repair, after which Apple will no longer provide any service even in Canada.

The iPhone has a 1 year warranty. Restore the phone in iTunes with the latest iOS to remove the 'gray market'. You will then have to send it to your close friend, at your expense, to take it back to the Apple store in Toronto to have the phone looked at. Then your close friend will need to send the phone back to you, at your expense.
I would also sudggest that you send your friend a sim from your carrier in India. This way after it is fixed/replaced he can try the sim at the Apple store to ensure that it is unlocked.

Go to Settings/ Store and under the category "Automatic Downloads" you can turn OFF the automatic download of purchases to your device (this needs to be done for each device). There's also a setting in iTunes just for automatic pushes to your iTunes library.
To remove a purchase you've made directly to your device, you can either:
a- Swipe across the song title from left to right and press Delete, or
b- If you auto-sync your device, connect to iTunes and click on the Music tab where you define your sync settings (the Music tab is to the right of the overall Summary page of your device). At the bottom of the Music tab you'll see direct purchases that are on your device -- simply un-check those and click "Apply" or "Sync" to remove them.
c- If you manually manage music on your device, connect to iTunes and click the small arrow to the left of your device name, and then click on the Music folder under your device. Then navigate to the item(s) you want to remove and then delete them.
To prevent things from syncing from your library to your device, there are many ways to do that (un-checking things in your library is one way, but not the best IMO). Might want to read the manual or some online tutorials on iTunes if you want to learn more. -

It's called a dock connector, not a USB port.
i found a product in the online store, that i guess you place the ipod mini on, and it gives you up to 20 or so more hours of time but then it says that you have to have a firewire port or cable?
What is it? The firewire port is on the computer, not the iPod.
If the original battery is going bad, the first thing to do is get that sorted out. -

I am facing a weird problem with my iphone 4s Wi-Fi connectivity. As i connect my iphone to my office Wi-Fi, internet works in one building, but it doesnt work in the other building, although the phone shows Wi-Fi is connected in the other building. This problem was not there earlier but has occured recently. I would also like to mention that none of my other colleauges who uses iphone are not facing this issue. Please help me out!!

Use Device Firmware Mode...
1. Turn off your ipod To do this, hold the home and sleep buttons for 10 seconds, ignore slide to power off message.
2. Release the power button when you see the apple logo (keep holding the home button)
3. Keep holding until you see a message.
Now restore from a backup!

I cannot restore my iPhone in iTunes, have tried everything! Please help
Last night I succesfully connected my iPhone to iTunes, updated to current software and bought a few new songs...all ok. In the iPhone summary it showed my details and serial number of the iPhone.
Just as it was finishing the updates it said that my iPhone could not be found and needed to be restored as it was in recovery mode, when I clicked on the relevant box it said the iPhone could not be located and there was an error 1611. All the details in my summary now showed n/a.
My iphone screen is stuck on the 'connect to iTunes' symbol and no amount of holding down the button/home screen will re-set. Cannot turn the phone on or off, have tried recharging with a different plug in...nothing.
I have done all checks on my pc, re-installed iTunes, DFU...absolutely everything that the internet tells you to do!
I called Apple and they said it was a hardware issue and would cost between £120 - £200 to repair.
If anyone has any ideas...please help!

I entered an admission in my computer, and when I closed the visit and syncronized the visit, the admission for my patient disappeared---forever!! I did this twice and then did the admission on my husband's PC. When admission was completed, I closed the visit and syncronized the visit. I was able to view the admission on my husband's PC, and my coworkers were able to view the admission on their computers. I, however, was NOT able to view the admission on my laptop. When I bring up the patient's name I see a chart with nothing in it. I also show another visit for that patient that is opened with nothing in it. On my husband's computer I have no additional opened visit. I can chart on admissions already in the computer with no problem. I MUST use my laptop because I am a hospice nurse and I am on the road all day. MUMMS can be entered offline and then syncronized later. I called the teacher for MUMMS and she said this is a technical issue and thought that you might be able to connect into my computer to see what is going on. Hi Vicki, when you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
This may take a few minutes if you have accumulated a lot of cached files.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first) using the following dialog. While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page and logging back in. Will the data load?
