TS3694 Hey Guys, having ongoing problems with iTunes Update/re-install on Windows 7 PC. Errors to follow....
Errors:-
1. This file does not have a program associated wthit for performing this action. Please install a program,or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs Control Panel.
2. A required iTunes component is not installed. Pls repair or reinstall iTunes (-45075).
I've followed the iTunes suggested fixes but no joy appreciate any other thoughts/suggestions/help. Cheers

Just in case the component being referenced is not part of iTunes but is rather part of one of the other related programs, it might be worth trying a complete uninstall/reinstall of iTunes and related componentry, as per the following troubleshooting document:

Tough without the Install disc, but some things to try...
Does it boot to Single User Mode, CMD+s keys at bootup, if so try...
/sbin/fsck -fy
Repeat until it shows no errors fixed.
(Space between fsck AND -fy important).
Resolve startup issues and perform disk maintenance with Disk Utility and fsck...

Having a problem with itunes update. Download wants to update to a driver (k:) which my computer doesn't have. As a result the download does not go through.

Having connectivity problems with itunes
Hi i'm having some connectivity problems with itunes i can open up the itune folder on my desktop but it will not connect to the itunes store,

That is incorrect. Either you misread or the newspaper you read was wrong. iOS 6.1.2 fixes a bug that caused excessive activity and log entries with Exchange servers.

Hi Guys,
Having problem with emoji, I have the character palette shortcut on my dock which I found through article from Cult of the Mac. I click on the emoticon and drag it to my email or whatever and get a blue box - no emoji. I tried the keyboard shortcut - doesn't work. I tried the drop down the menu in edit - doesn't work either. I am running Lion and want to upgrade to Mountain Lion. Want to fix this before I upgrade or should I just upgrade and hope for the best? Been all over the net looking for solution.

blueheron11Pages does not support the Apple font used for color emoji, so that behavior is normal.
With what app are you reading the yahoo mail? There is really no guarantee than any other email service will show the special Apple font involved.
You should have no problem putting emoji directly into Mail or Text edit via drag drop from the Character Viewer as shown below.
You should also be able to upload graphics here easily by clicking on the camera icon. My email is tom at bluesky dot org. -

Problems with Itunes 10.5.1 and Windows 7

yesterday my old pc with Windows XP SP3 was replaced by a new laptop with Windows 7 32 bits.
When I tried to install the new version 10.5.1 of itunes show several errors and don't work.
I install then the version 10.1.4 and was installed without problems but don't accept my Ipod touch because requires the new version of software.
Then, I tried to download the new version using the Itunes update manager and failed to install the version again.
Attach is a part of application event log.

Normally iTunes is working alright... but everytime, if iTunes has an update, there are a lot of problems with it.
1.) The iTunes-Store cannot be found. You can see on the status monitor, that the programm is running, but after a while i can see a
error message, that "the url cannot be found".
2.) After the error message, the whole programm freeze - i can't close the programm (only the task manager can shout down iTunes because there is no reaction).
3.) After closing the programm via task-manager i cannot open for instance the internet explorer.
All this happens ONLY if there is an update for iTunes.
So everytime i have to uninstall the programm and install the latest version completely new. This *****.
I've deleted the dns-cache, i checked the firewall (port for iTunes) - everything is okay, but it doesn't work...
So... what can i do?????Is there nobody, who can help me????
Even if i start iTunes, there is the message for a new update, but if i press the button "load update" or if i press the button "cancel" or the red " x " in the corner... it happens NOTHING...
and after a long while, there is the message "url for itunes store can not be found".
if i close the programm... everything is freeze... all programms except the iexplorer are running without error - but the internet-explorer can't be opend...
soooo .... what can i do??? -

The best method is to use Windows Easy Transfer first to backup all your data, and do custom clean install. And install all your apps and drivers afterwards.
Yes it should work. Make sure you are ready, and have all the latest drivers and applications ahead of time.
There are some "gottchas" with the upgrade from Vista. -
Problems with itunes sound via bluetooth in windows 8

I had that problem too. Maybe it works when you change your Bitrate in Itunes. My Bluetooth speakers run at 48 Khz and after the Itunes update, Itunes changed his settings to 44.1 kHz (before the update it was also 48kHz). I hope i could help you. Sorry for bad english i'm from Germany

Is anyone else having majors problems with latest update?!?
I love my Droid X and have never had problems with it until now. My phone had been pestering me about the update so I finally let it. Then I didn't like the look of the main screen, but I liked the index down the side of the contacts and the new keyboard when texting (except the smiley face was missing). But then I started noticing problems, I can't move my contacts to groups and I can't take pictures. I have a constant notification that says 'Blank SD card SD card blank or has unsupported filesystem" and when I try to take a picture I get a message that says "Please insert sd card before using the camera". Is there any way to remove the update without erasing everything on my phone? I'm really not happy with Verizon giving us an update with these kinds of problems. I want a new update asap that undoes the last one.

The store will DO NOTHING for you if you are getting a message saying your SD card is having problems, so don't even go there as they will pretty much tell you that you are out of luck - VZW's official stance on the SD card issue is that it is not their problem. I started having problems with my SD card when the GB update came out back in August....the original SD card the phone came with completely corrupted, I bought a new card of my very own (since both 800 support and the VZW pretty much told me I was out of luck and laughed me out the door), which had problems as well, getting a message in both late August and mid-Sept that the card had problems and to reformat it. I seriously believe the phone itself, if not the update, is causing problems with the SD card. SD cards don't have problems like this....yes they fail just like anything else, but to have had one card go corrupt and another one give a damaged message all within a months time? Sorry that's not the cards.... -
From Apple website when I go to itunes update to 10.3 I am not seeing the left column to download itunes 10.3. Does anyone else have this problem? I tried yesterday as well. Today, I threw my itunes 9.1.1 in the trash and emptied it... and then rebooted. What am I doing wrong?
What operating system are you running? I doubt it's an iPhone OS on a Mac Mini, but if you meant to choose 10.4 then you're out of luck. http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ At the bottom of the left hand column on this page, you'll see it requires OS X 10.5 or higher.
