TS3694 hi just tried to update my iphone 4s with latest version of itunes and has stalled on reset with an error code of 36. have tried re installing i tunes and switched off security and new lead an windows update but still seems to recognize phone.

if you have tried ALL suggestions then your phone is obviously broken beyond reparing by user

It seems that i have to redownload the whole 800+ MB of the update file again when i want to update my friend's iphone through my itunes, I've updated MY iphone to the latest version after very very long hours of download, and i tried updating a 2nd friend's iphone and it was very fast as the file has already been downloaded, but this problem occurs when i want to update a 3rd friend's iphone, can someone help?

3rd gen iPod Nano will not sync with latest version of iTunes on new laptop. It passes the connectivity test but not the sync test under diagnostics. Worked fine on old Windows 7 laptop but not new one. From Control Panel it shows up as an Apple iPod USB Device...
Never mind, I think. I think I figured it out. There was 1 song (out of > 900!) that somehow had been purchased with the other ID - I have no idea how. Once I deleted that song, it stopped asking.
There may be something with the newest iTunes version too. I didn't think in older versions that the "On this iPod" list of songs was greyed out. But at least it syncs ok. -

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source List
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device) -
I have an original iphone. With the latest version of itunes, 10.5, it no longer syncs. The name of my device doesn't appear in itunes just a gneric iphone. I know its old and apple no longer provides updates to ios but taking away my ablilty to sync is hard to believe. Any suggestions
Did you do a backup of iOS before you changed iTunes?
I would do a reverse and go back to the old iTunes, then update your iPhone and then update iTunes.
Version 4.x of iOS has been out forever, update, update, update.....it is very important to maintain compatability in hardware & software devices/pcs'/Macs. -

My iPhone is now dead. Downloaded ios 7 by wifi on the phone. It then asked me to connect to i-tunes. I-tunes says the phone must be restored. Goes a long way down the restore and then get error code 29. I have tried turning off security software and firewalls as suggested by the Apple site but no difference. Can anyone help?
Spent hours trying everything suggested and finally this morning hit on a solution. iTunes must be run as an administrator. Even though you are logged into your PC as an administrator, using the iTunes shortcut does not make you an administrator in iTunes. I found this out by using the diagnostics in iTunes and reading through the results report.
I am using Windows 7, so I clicked the start button and right clicked on iTunes and selected "Run as an adimistrator". The first restore attempt got the 4013 error. I then did the DFU thing, hold power and home buttons for 10 seconds, release power and continue holding home for 10 more seconds.
iTunes gave me the restore message and I clicked it. I clicked the restore iPhone button and it started. The drivers loaded a couple of times. I got the apple logo with the progress bar and this time instead of disappearing, it started to fill in.
End result, a successful restore to factory settings and a happy 14 year old.
