can anyone help me restore or fix error on my iphone... i was updating my ios back on my iphone from 4.1 to 4.2 when about to finish updating an error came out... i was trying to restore my phone but then again there is an error... error 1015 ... could anyone here help me? tnx!

I am set up for automatic iCloud backups. Now when I go to Settings>iCloud, there is an item "Storage", but there is no "Storage & Backup" and no button for "Backup now" and no information as to when was the last automatic iCloud backup. Am I missing something?

It's now Settings-iCloud-Backup (between Passbook and Keychain on my device). Tap Backup and then you should see Back Up Now.

You aren't able to downgrade with your iOS, unfortunately. It just doesn't work that way

Can't restore my iPhone...keep getting Error 3004...help?

Hi all,
about a week or so ago I tried to update my iphone to the latest firmware, and somehow it got messed up and when I cam back to my room it was in DFU mode saying that I needed to restore it. I figured oh well, no biggie, and hit restore. However, after going through about 90% of the restore process, iTunes gave me an Error 3004 message. I did some googling and this is supposedly an error you get when iTunes can't connect to the Apple Server.
However, I am able to download iTunes songs/etc without an issue, so I don't think it is my firewall. Just to be sure, I disabled Little Snitch (my OSX firewall proggie) and I tried to restore using the new 4.2.1. software and I am still getting the same error. I even re-installed iTunes using the latest 10.1 version, but that didn't help.
Does anyone have any ideas about what to do? Is there some way to ping/test to see if it is indeed my firewall that is messing up the restore process? Unfortunately i am out of the country so I cannot just take it to a local apple store.

Are you sure it didn't accidentally get moved to a different screen, or placed into a folder?

Check for hardware issues
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the alert when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
Common errors: 1, 10-47, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1000-1020.

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.
Let us know if this method does not work.

All sorted! dont suppose you know how to fix another problem I have??? for weeks now, since updating to ios5 I think, for some reason every time I have tried to log onto app store it says CANNOT CONNECT TO ITUNES STORE. It's nothing to do with my computer, and I've been to the Geniius bar but they couldnt help and nothing I seem to do lets me update my Apps and even worse, I cant even buy any more. Any suggestions?

Contacts are not a part of back up.
Contacts are sync with a compatible programme on your computer depending on your operating system (Windows or Mac). For example, Microsoft Outlook (for both Windows and Mac), Windows Contacts (for Windows) and Addressbook (for Mac).
Or contacts are also backed up in iCloud (depending if you chose to do so).
So, sync back the contacts from any of these programmes. If you have not made a backup of your contacts in any of these progammes, then they are gone.
