TS3694 I can't uninstall itunes from my PC

I recently got an iphone 4s, synced it with my PC and itunes, now itunes won't work or recognize any of my devices. I tried to uninstall it, and it won't let me do that either because it says the pathway address is missing, itunes.msi, which it is, I can't unistall and I can't download the updated itunes, so I'm stuck, any suggestions?

I tried to uninstall it, and it won't let me do that either because it says the pathway address is missing, itunes.msi,
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

The iTunes update site said nothing about uninstalling in a particular order. So I uninstalled the first component I came to in Control Panel which was "Apple Mobil Device Support". Now I can't uninstall iTunes. It tells me it is located in a network device which is not available to me, but it is on my "C" drive. How do I uninstall iTunes now? I can't install the new version till I get rid of the old. Help?

  • How can I uninstall iTunes from my PC and update my iPhone software?

I've been trying to update my iPhone 4 from iOS 4.1 to the newest version but I've encountered problem after problem.
First when I tried to update it through iTunes it said 'it cannot be restored at this time because the iPhone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable at this time'.
Now when I connect my iPhone to my laptop it says 'iTunes requires a newer version of Apple Mobile Device Support. Please uninstall both Apple Mobile Device Support and iTunes, then install iTunes again.'
So when I got to the control panel to uninstall iTunes it says 'the Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your personnel for assistance.'
I've been looking for a solution for hours and cannot find anything, I tried one solution which involved Regedit but it didn't work.
Can someone please please help me? I'm beginning to loose my mind!

I need to uninstall iTunes so I can upgrade my Windows Vista machine to Windows 7 Home Premium.  When I try to uninstall it tells me I can't because I don't have administrator privleges.  I am the only user account on the machine and I have full administrator priveleges.  Any idea how I can get iTunes to uninstall?

  • I have uninstalled iTunes from an XP laptop and I now get the iTunesHelper Error2 screen (Apple Application Support was not found).

    Hi All,
I have uninstalled iTunes from an IBM ThinkPad X40 running XP and I now get the iTunesHelper Error2 screen (Apple Application Support was not found). I do not want to re-install iTunes as I am now a mac user. However I want to get rid of the message from the XP machine as it is irritating and I want to use it standalone for something else.
    Any ideas?
    Cheers,

  • Can't reinstall, can't uninstall (iTunes)

Clicking on the iTunes icon doesn't launch iTunes, Windows says it doesn't exist! (oddly enough, clicking on a song file does launch iTunes, so how can it "not exist"? Stupid Windows...)
So I tried reinstalling the latest version of iTunes (which I already have, but it "doesn't exist" >_> )
Windows can't reinstall it because it says it can't uninstall the old version.
Also, the "Add or Remove Programs" can't uninstall iTunes because it can't find some .msi file, which I have no idea what it's talking about.
Here are some screen shots to help.

With that one, let's try the following procedure.
First, head into your Add/Remove programs and uninstall your QuickTime. If it goes, good. If it doesn't, we'll just attend to it when we attend to iTunes.
Next, download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. Use it to clear any existing iTunes and/or QuickTime installation configuration information from the PC. (Launch Windows Installer CleanUp, find any iTunes and/or QuickTime entries in the list of programs in CleanUp, select those entries, and click “remove”.)

Next, use the the following document as a guide for manual removal of any leftover iTunes and QuickTime program files:

Now try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • How do you uninstall iTunes from an iPad

My iTunes isn't working on my iPad, When I try and connect it to my laptop it's stating I need to uninstall iTunes then install the newer version.  I need some help on how to uninstall iTunes from my iPad 2, thanks

You can uninstall iTunes on a Windows-based computer by going to the  Start menu and choosing Control Panel.  Look for an icon labeled  "Programs and Features."   Within this menu, simply scroll down until  you see iTunes, right click on it with your mouse and choose uninstall.
Once you have removed iTunes from your computer, you should download the latest version at http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.   After you have reinstalled iTunes, you should be able to connect your iPad just fine.

    Hi,
If it was installed as a Firefox extension you can try to '''Remove''' it in Firefox '''Tools''' ('''Alt''' + '''T''') > '''Add-ons''' > '''Extensions'''.

    [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Customizing%20Firefox%20with%20add-ons Customizing Firefox]
On the other hand, if it was installed as a Windows application or Internet Explorer application, you may have to uninstall it via the Windows OS Control Panel, or via the browsers concerned. The [http://answers.microsoft.com/ Windows support] would be helpful.
