TS3694 I can't update my iphone
when I want to update my iphone it showed me this message the disc you are attempting to use is full. I don't know which disc and how to clean it. My computer is MacBook.

Right click (or CMD-click) on the "Macintosh HD" icon on your desktop and select "Get Info". The resulting display will tell you how much free space you have. If it is not at least 10 GB you need to delete unneeded information from your MacBook. As a start, with that Info still displayed, try emptying Trash. If that does not free up enough space restart your MacBook. This will free up swap space on the disk. Do the Get Info again. If you still don't have enough space you will have to copy some of your data to a backup drive and delete it.

Downgrading the iOS is not supported, and likely has caused the problems you are experiencing.

How can I update my iPhone 3gs to iOS4, after iOS5 came out?
I am still running iOS 3 (1.3) on my iPhone 3GS and I'm happy with it - but all the new apps requires iOS4 and now I'm sick of this. I want iOS4 (and not iOS5, cause it will drain my battery as far as I've understood).
How can I update my iPhone 3GS in a normal way to iOS4, through iTunes or another easy way? I have never jailbreaked an iPhone so I don't know too much about "backdoors" into my iPhone.The only Firmware in the iOS 4 series that Apple is still signing for the iPhone 3GS is 4.1. So you could restore to 4.1. You will have to download the 4.1 IPSW from Apple, and then install it with iTunes, Option Click Mac or Shift Click Windoz, on the Restore Button and then select the 4.1 IPSW on your computer. The current iTunes may give meaningless Errors, I doubt because you are Upgrading. But if Error Message is given you will have to search the Web for ways to Exit Recovery.

If you have iPhone 3G, the latest and greatest is IOS 4.2.1.
If you have iPhone 3GS or later, you can only update to IOS 6.0.1.
For iPhone 5 and iPad mini, you can update to IOS 6.0.2. -

You need to be running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or newer to sync the iPhone 5; this may require buying a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store. OS upgrades aren't covered by the warranty.

You are running an ancient OSX on your Mac. Since you didn't share what Mac model and model information with us, we cannot tell you if you are able to upgrade or not. You need OSX 10.6.8 at a minimum to run iTunes 11.2

Thanks to a Apple tech support agent we were able to find out the problem. If anyone else runs into the same problem. These are the steps you should take to fix the problem becuase more then likely you have had a jailbroken device on the computer that your using to do the update.

-In TinyUmbrella unchecked the option that says "Set hosts to cydia on exit"
-Press Apply Changes
-QUit TinyUmbrella

-In terminal, write this:

-Delete all lines that reference gs.apple.com
