TS3694 I cannot restore my iphone due to a "1604" error, does anyone have any suggestions for a fix please?
I am trying to restore my phone through itunes and am unable to, due to a "1604" error. Can anyone please advise on a fix?

They offered to value my iPhone and then put that money towards buying me out of my contract however I don't want to have to spend more money when my contract ends on august anyway.

Hi. I'm trying to upgrade my 3g iPad 1 software from 3.2.2 to 5.0.1. iTunes tells me that I need to upgrade. It then backs up my iPad OK. But then it won't 'restore' and the upgrade fails.
Does anyone have any suggestions, please.

Does the device show up in Windows Explorer when connected?
Have you tried going into Control Panel > Programs & Features > iTunes > Repair?
Have you proved the cable with a different device, or the device's connectivity with a different computer?

If you are using a Windows computer, remove all USB devices and spare cables other than your keyboard, mouse, and the device, restart the computer, and try to restore. If that does not resolve the issue, try the USB issue-resolution steps and articles listed for Error 1604 above. If the issue persists, it may be related to conflicting security software.

Just tried to update iPhone 4S to 6.1 and it first of all failed to back up then it failed to update (Error 11) so i had to put it in recovery mode and restore it then it failed to restore with an unknown error starting to think its an itunes issue does anyone have any advice?
if your computer is not recognizing it, try using a different USB port or different usb cable. if that doesnt work you will need to uninstall and reinstall itunes.

you can't bypass activation. Your phone needs to be activated for any of the functions to work.

Hold down the power button and home button at the same time until the phone powers on, shuts back off, powers on again and continue to hold it until it shows the itunes logo to plug in to itunes. This should allow you to restore without unlocking it.

My headphones are new form apple as they came with the phone. They have been good for the few times i have used them but out of the blue after about a weeks use they have stopped allowing me to skip forwrd or backwards???????? I am still able to pause and use my mic for Siri so im a little bit confused as to what the problem can be.. Is there anyone out there who knows what the problem might be or how to fix it??
Thanks.Go to the settings in your Jeep, "forget" the iPhone. And on the iPhone "forget" the jeep. Then put the Jeep in Pairing Mode and tap Settings/BlueTooth on the phone and pair them anew (which sounds less confusing than "repair them").

Double check the version of iTunes on your computer. You must have iTunes 11.1 or later.

My Iphone 4s wont let me end calls. It freezes on the call screen. I can press END CALL many times and try to end it, but it wont end. i think its the assistive touch bc i got that when my home button broke and my lock button is also broken and now it wont let me slid the unlock button, and i shut it down then turned it back on so it automatically showed the keypad and it would only let me press 3 and thats it. i also read a few other topics about it not unlocking and they all used the assistive touch.

I was in Toys R Us getting my daughter a late Christmas gift tonight and while I was in the store someone broke in my car andd stole my new Ipad Air. I have Find My Iphone downloaded, but it cant be located. It says that it is offline. I am so upset. I just purchased this about a month ago. The police came out and took fingerprints but I am just wondering if there is anything else I can do. Please help!
