TS3694 I get unknown error (6) occurred when I try to restore ipad2

My daughter iPad would turn on and say it needed to be activated and then give us a developer error of some type.  so we attempted to restore it.  now get a unknown error (6) when it is almost done with restore.  What are me options to get past this?   What is a error (6)?

Were you running iOS 7 beta?  If so, as a developer you need to log into the Developer forum for assistance.
Not a developer and running iOS 7 beta?  Then you've stolen Apple's software and will receive absolutely no assistance from this forum.  Enjoy your iBrick!

    Hi ...
Try here > Mac App Store: "An unknown error occurred (100)" when purchasing
If that doesn't help, drag the App Store icon straight up off your Dock so it goes, "poof".
Now drag the App Store icon from your Applications folder to the Dock. Try updating your apps.

  • Why do I keep getting "an unknown error has occurred" when I try to update or add an app?  I have plenty of memory left.  Suggeestions?

Why do I keep getting this message "an unknown error has occurred" when I try to update or load an app.  The issue is not space (memory) as I have 2/3 memory left to use.  Any suggestions?

    Hi ...
Installing the OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client Combo) reinstalls the App Store for you which may help. Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.
It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.7.3.
If that doesn't help, if you have anti virus software installed, disable that.
If you have an app called LIttle Snitch installed, that can prevent apps from updating.

  • IBooks for IPad 2 Unknown  error has occurred when I try to download ?

iBooks for IPad 2 Unknown error has occurred when I try to download ?
Every time I try to download iBooks from AppStore it give me a unknown Error when it starts to load.  Has any one else ever had this problem and any way to fix this.
    Thanks

Fixed!!--Same error issue, but I hadn't downloaded any apps that required syncing. New iPad2 this Wednesday (6/15/11). Per other suggestions on this forum I tried hooking up to the laptop (already had latest iTunes loaded before my iPad2 came), iTunes started up, went to Apple iStore, login, confirm payment, try to download 'iBooks' it says I already have it. Look at the iPad and it's there.
This fix took all of 3-minutes and all is good. Now to learn to move things around. Newbie here  Thanks to the forum for tips on things to try. I need to go back through documentation to see why I had such a problem. Not exactly plug-n-play, but then again, I fighting the urge to 'right-click'.   Love the iPad2 so far. My first Apple-anything.

  • App Store gives "An unknown error has occurred" when I try to log in

I know I'm using the correct username and password -- using a different one gives a password-specific error, and the username/password works correctly elsehwere.
I have applied all updates, and rebooted.
I just had my SSD replaced (got the machine back today), and the apple store put snow leopard instead of lion on it -- my lion upgrade was purchased in the app store previously. So, I currently have mountain lion on this machine.
    Thanks!

urgh... just noticed my previous post said i have mountain lion... i meant that i have snow leopard.  no idea why i messed that up!
anyway, i just tried reinstalling snow leopard from the usb key that came with the computer. Then, I installed software updates until it told me there were no more updates. After that, I tried the app store again, and it still is giving me the unknown error. really irked by that. may have to take it back to the apple store yet again, to see if i can figure out why the app store won't work.

  • I keep getting "cannot sign in, an unknown error has occurred" when I try to anything requiring my I'd and password on this new iPad mini. I tried a different I'd and password and have the same issue

Can someone tell me if this is a known issue? I cannot do anything with this thing except look at what is already loaded.

Tried that and after entering password, I got the same error. I tried some other steps of changing the date a few years ahead and then beck and also resetting the DNS from other posts and neither helped.

  • An unknown error has occurred when I try to login my apple account

I haven't use my laptop for one month. I just found I cannot login the app store with my apple account, so i cannot purchase upgrade apps. I am using mac pro. And I just change my account password, and can login the iCloud.
    Help me, thank you

As has been reported in numerous posts in these forums it's a widespread problem, which doesn't appear to be related to any security or other updates. Evidently there is an issue with Apple's servers and it's a question of waiting for them to fix it.

I am getting "an unknown error has occurred" when trying to download any free apps from my brand new 4S iPhone.
    Please Help!!

I had the exact same problem.  Worked fine for a couple days then suddenly getting this error.  I fixed it, however.
    Do this:
Open the App Store app on your phone.
    Go to the "Featured" section.
Scroll to the very bottom of the page and click on your Apple ID.
Screen pops up. Choose "Sign out".
Scroll to the bottom of the "Featured" section again.
    Sign back in.
    Try your download again.
This worked for me.  Good luck!
