Error 1004, 1013, 1638, 3194: These errors may be the result of the connection to gs.apple.com being redirected or blocked. Follow these steps to resolve these errors:
Install the latest version of iTunes.
Check security software. Ensure that communication to gs.apple.com is allowed. Follow this article for assistance with security software. iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
Check the hosts file. The restore will fail if there is an active entry to redirect gs.apple.com. Follow iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting to edit the hosts file or revert to a default hosts file. See section "Blocked by configuration: (Mac OS X/Windows) > Rebuild network information".
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.
If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.

Your post indicates you have used Cydia, which is a software application for iOS that enables a user to find and install software packages on jailbroken iOS Apple devices. Since your iPad has been jailbroken, we can't help you in this forum. Best bet is to Google for answers.
You may have "bricked" your iPad and now have an $$$ paper weight. Plus your Apple warranty has been voided and the Apple Genius Bar/Support will not help you.

Just updated my iPad 1 to the latest software, (12May2012) and I'm stuck with the apple logo after re set.
Tried all the suggested fix's. It refuses to budge.
It will be a long wait but if I leave it on, does a battery discharge fix the problem? or should I leave it on charge?

Did you try holding the home button and sleep until the iPad power down?
Discharge it first, I'd say. By the way, plugging in the iPad charger with the wall socket turned off sometimes increase the rates of battery discharging.

Hi anybody out there. I have an Ipad2 that is stuck on the apple logo. It is contnueosly rebooting, but stuck. I took it into one of those youbreakifx stores and the kid told me that it is due to jailbroken issue. I explained that it was not jailbroken and he gave me a sarcastic look. I actually recently reinstalled the operating system on a my friend's tablet which was jailbroken, however never did jailbreak my ipad. What to do?

Go to the iPad forum. This is the iPhone forum. Or take it to an Apple store or authorized Apple service provider. As far as I know youbreakfx is not authorized Apple service center.

IPad stuck on Apple logo - won't recover/restore

Hi guys,
Sorry if this seems like a repeat question, but I've just spent several hours looking through previous solutions to similar questions and none of them have worked for me.
My iPad was working fine until last night, when it mysteriously reverted to the black start-up screen with the Apple logo and refused to budge.
I have managed to get it into recovery mode several times, and each time the process appears to be working at first - but as soon as I get to "Waiting for iPad", the screen freezes up again, this time with a grey bar below the Apple logo that's stuck on 0%. Still no action after leaving it this way for several hours.
I've tried every recommended solution I can find (short of taking it to the Apple store, but I'm currently travelling overseas) but nothing seems to work.
Any thoughts?

1st gen ipad stuck on apple logo only when on charge

I have an iPad that got wet in the rain, when I brought it in it still worked ( i pressed the home button and the homepage came up with all the apps) so I quickly dried if off and put it in the airing cupboard for 6 days, now when I plug it in to the mains with the charger the apple logo comes up for about 15 secs then disappears then comes back on after about another 30 secs and this keeps happening and won't go any further and when I unplug it and link it to my apple laptop nothing happens at all it nothing happens at all (doent show the apple logo or charging logo) i dont think its taking any charge please let me know if anyone knows how to fix x

My ipad 32gb 3rd gen lost all power like most things do so when i went to charge it, it went to apple lgog and has been there for two days , i have done all the button things to force reboot, non worked, put in recovery mood and tryed restoreing and it has a unknow error when trying to restore. Please help i just want to use my ipad again, dont care if i needs to be restored.

Hello everyone,
My iPad freezes at the bootup screen. I can't do anything. That on itself isn't a problem as I've read a solution for this on this site. The real problem is that my power button doesn't work anymore. This doesn't bother me all that much because I use Assistive Touch and it works fine. But because of my problem I can't use the fix. Any solutions? Thank you in advance.

Have you tried connecting it to your computer in iTunes and do a restore? Make sure the battery is fully charged by plugging into the wall outlet for a couple hours first.

My iPhone 5 wouldn't start after I turned it off a few minutes after writing this. It went into recovery mode and I had no choice but to connect to iTunes on PC and restore.
I restored to factory setting first, just to validate my phone was okay. For a second consecutive iOS update, the iPhone 5 did not update smoothly while connected to PC and iTunes - I had to retry two times before the progress bar for the update showed. (The exact same problem with the restart occured when I updated to 7.0.4.)
The good news is that I was ultimately able to restore the iPhone 5 to factory settings while running iOS 7.0.6. I did have a backup from about a month ago lying around and was able to successfully restore with that as well, so the damage done is almost negligible since I had my contacts, notes, mail, etc. backed up to iCloud.
Once I completed both restores, the sync with iTunes worked fine.

i dont have backup & my ipad is not getting started. it just gets stuck on apple logo. if i restore my device then it will be updated to ios 6, which is fine with me but what about the data? how do i get that??

Is there anyone that can help me, my son has an ipad 2 it worked fine, but all of a sudden apps started flickering and then went stuck on the apple logo, iv tried a hard reset and then eventually restored it several times via an iMac, but still stuck on apple logo, does anyone know how to get it back working, or know how to fix it, thanks

If you use Recovery Mode and had no success, them you should seek help at an Apple Store. Make an appointment at a Genius Bar and have the Apple Tech take a look at the iPad.

Try this first.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that does not help, you may have to restore your iPad.
iTunes: Backing up, updating and restoring iOS software.
If that doesn't work - You will have to use recovery mode
iPad: Unable to update or restore
