You won't see this until you update to iOS 5. You'll have to update using iTunes by going to the Summary tab of your sync settings and clicking on Check for Update (you will probably be prompted that there is an update available when you connect your phone and open iTunes).

To update
your iPhone:
Be sure you have iTunes 10.7 (11 will be released soon)
Plug in your iPhone
Go to the iPhone summary screen
Hit "update"
If the update fails
Go on your search engine and type "iPhone 3GS firmware GSM" or "iPhone 3GS firmware CDMA" and download the latest firmware from there.
Place the downloaded firmware on your desktop or in your downloads page
Go back to the summary page
Hold Shift and click update
Find the firmware in your saved location
A question will pop up asking if you want to install the firmware

I'm using my Iphone 3GS, when I want to update the software to IOS5. It not allow me to update and prompt me the error message say that connection error or server problem. Anyone have any suggestion.

Lion 10.7.5 is as far as you can go. You must have at least 2 GBs of installed RAM.

Reset, hold both home and power buttons until it begins to start. Usually takes about 10 seconds. If still nothing, connect iPhone to Wall Charger for 10 minutes. It may turn ON itself, if still OFF, keep on charger and Reset, it may take about 20 seconds of holding both buttons while on charger.

Earlybird doesn't want to update

I've been using Earlybird on my Win 7 64-bit laptop for about 18 months. I use EB because Thunderbird crashed every time I tried to open it; EB gets unresponsive every now and again but is otherwise stable. My research at the time indicated that EB was the only 64-bit alternative.
For the last couple of weeks I've been getting intermittent messages that auto updates have failed - along with a link which just leads back to the latest version of Thunderbird. On checking my installation I seem to be on EB 10.0, although the current version seems to be 38. Apparently mine has never updated.
I don't seem to have the original installation file for EB 10.0 so I'm nervous about experimenting in case I replace something that's working with something that doesn't. Should I leave well alone with EB 10.0, or try to manually update - presumably by installing the latest version of EB over the top of the existing version? Or can I try to run the latest version of Thunderbird alongside my existing Earlybird?

Earlybird corresponds to an alpha release and is strictly intended for testing purposes only. It is by no means recommended for production use.
This is what I'd do:
First create a full backup of your profile.

Download the current release version from

Install the release version.
Report back if you still having problems.

If you know what you're doing you can also install the release version alongside with Earlybird. In that case make sure to create a separate profile for the release version and make sure not to mix-up profiles.
If that sounds too complicated, better forget about it.

HT4623 Im having problems with my music ever since I got the ITunes Match, now I'm not able to listen to some songs and my ipod doesn't want to update the iOS saying something about my network and I'm hooked up to the internet?

I was just have difficults in different things on my ipod touch 4th gene now that I have ITune Match and it not being able to update the iOS 6.1.5 and as to not sure of what I can do to get it to update and get all my songs back. Because right now I have at least 20 or 30 songs that I cant play now and I'm not sure why. I'm not even able to click on the songs and I wanted to see if there was a way to fix this without restore my ipod and starting over.

IPhone 3GS doesn't want to sync my contacts over iCloud.

I have a newest iOS version, I can turn off and turn back on iCloud syncing but it doesn't help. It's pretty frustrating as some contacts that I have in my mac doesn't appear in my telephone. I have this problem for long time already. Last time I was visiting I read somewhere here that new update for iOS will solve it:) I think I had two since then.

I have been using the AC adapter. It's been pluged since yesterday evening and it doesn't get pass the white Apple screen, I have also tried to restart it and nothing either. I tried to restore it but it doesn't have enough charge for my computer to recognize it. I'm stumped

Slider doesn't want to update

I've connected a local variable to a slider indicator. Now I want to change this local variable, so that the indicator shows the new value. When I start the VI, the indicator sometimes works and sometimes not.
I've got the idea, that the slider mostly doesn't work, when I call the VI with the slider the second time during the execution of a programm. But I can't say for sure...
When I change the slider to a "normal" indicator (that shows only numbers but no bars) everything works fine. How can I use the slide bar indicator???

I'm not quite sure exactly what kind of behavior you are referring to. I tried to test this, but my VI seemed to work fine. I am attaching what I built. Run this on your machine and see if you experience the same behavior you see with your VI.
