TS3694 Problem in update OS 5 to OS 6 after update to Itunes 10.7 and Mac OS 10.8.2

I updated the Mac OS to the 8.2 and now when I tried to update the OS 5 to the OS 6 I'm without my 2 devices the Iphone and the iPad. ITunes is asking me to restore the devices... Is anybody with the same problem?

Nope
One needs to press the home and sleep / wake keys together for the phone to reset
The other thing I could recommend
Let the battery run out and the phone completely "die"
It may take a day or two with it not being used
Then plug it in to charge and see if there is any change in behavior
If you cannot get this to work - you may need to bring it to an Apple store

Ok 1st one. The warning restriction message relates to this line in main.cf:
smtpd_helo_restrictions = permit_sasl_authenticated permit_mynetworks check_helo_access hash:/etc/postfix/helo_access reject_non_fqdn_hostname reject_invalid_hostname permit reject_invalid_helo_hostname
The last reject occurs after the single word "permit" and is ignored.
However, that's not the problem.
I'm not exactly sure what's happening, but this might be a clue.
It would appear that either postfix is not being able to create the socket for private/policy or it's somehow created with the wrong permissions. You might need to ramp up the debug level to get a better idea.
You could check if it's being created by "netstat -a | grep private/policy" in terminal.
My guess is that it's not being created because there is no setup statement in your master.cf file, but I don't understand why postfix would be looking for it if it isn't set up. Private/policy I think relates to grey listing. Maybe gives you a hint.

STEP 1: Delete iTunes from your computer. Also make sure you remove the cache(open itunes then press edit wich is located on the tool bar and then click on preferences and then go to advanced and click on reset warrnings and reset cache).
then go to your hard disk and go to program files and delete folder named itunes.
Note: If you have any libraries or locally cached data that you want to keep, temporarily store them somewhere until you get the situation fixed.
STEP 2: Once it is completely deleted, download iTunes 11.1 from Apple servers.
STEP 3: Download iTunes 11.1 from here.
STEP 4: Now connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to computer.
STEP 5: Click “restore”, it should present you with a notification saying a new version is available.
STEP 6: Simply Click download and install, and sit back and relax.
The process should be completed and your error 1669 should be fixed.

There is no change to Xcode in the update. It is just the updater itself that is updated.
The app-store says:
"You do not need to re-run the installer if you already have Xcode 4.1 for Lion successfully installed, as the included tools are unchanged in this update"

Socket problem after upgrading to Xcode 4.2 and Mac OS 10.7.2

I am writing a client app to connect to a java server using the method explained in http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#qa/qa1652/_index.html
Everything was working fine until I upgraded to Xcode 4.2 and Mac OS 10.7.2 yesterday.
The server cannot read data written by the client. Attempting to read returns -1 which means end of stream.
Any idea why this has happened?

my iOS7 wouldn't budge after updating so I performed the silly mistake of doing a system restore. It updated but now my iPhone won't activate! Do you think it's the servers? I'm perfectly connected to my wifi and my phone is connected to iTunes!

Yeah... Thanks! It finally managed to pull through... ugh... was getting slightly worried because I needed it for something important at the moment... but thankfully it's okay now.

Anyone have problem with Iphone 6 not detecting headphone mode after updating of IOS 8.1.2?

After I have updated to the latest IOS 8.1.2, I have no issue so far except for unable to detect my earphone as no sound can be heard from my earpiece, and the music coming out of the speaker instead. Has anyone faced similar problem so far after upgrading to IOS 8.1.2?

In order to fix this issue do the following:
If you look closely Inside the Headphone port there are these tiny little metal screw Balls which get pushed
in when you insert the Headphones.
The phone gets stuck in headphone mode (if in an event when these tiny little metal screws are pushed in).
To cut the long story short , all you need to do is push these metal balls screws in and out.
Simplest way to do so is to insert you headphone into the port and twist it around a bit or a use a pin/tiny screw that could help push these metal balls in and out.
This should fix the issue. (Primarily what we end up doing is reset the metal balls into a release position).

My iPhone 4S will now load onlycontacts listed in my Favorites. Previously it loaded everyone in my contacts list. Since I haven't changed vehicles nor phone, I can only assume its a software issue. Unfortunately since I chose replace when giving my car directions I lost all the contacts previously loaded.

i updated my Nokia N8-00 last night with Nokia Suite and symbian Belle was successfully installed in it. .
It worked for few hours and i installed few applications from Nokia Store and was everything fine. .
But suddenly in the morning my phone switched off and never started again. . I treid to start but only Nokia was appearing on the screen and it was unable to boot further. . right now i gave the phone in Nokia Care, they told it takes around 10-12 days to get the phone back from Company. .
Kindly guide me for the problem as i am completely helpless without my Phone working. .

I've updated to IOS7 now app updates wont disappear from screen even after updating

I have updated to IOS7 on my Ipad and Iphone. I've noticed now that when i get a notice that an app needs an update, I tap the "install" button and after the update is finished the "install" icon changes to "open". Problem is that even if i tap the "open" icon, the app opens has it should. But when I return to the "app store" icon under updates the app I just open still appears on the list and still has the "open" icon visable. Use to be once you updated an app it would dissapear from the update list. I know have a list of 7 apps all updated and showing the "open" icon on my Iphone 5 and 13 on my Ipad. I've tried shutting down my device and restarting, yet they still show up on the list. Is it just me, have I missed a setting or something? How do I get rid of updated app showing up on my update list?

I've had the same issues since iOS 7 was released last week. Sometimes my iPad' App Store icon's badge shows I have 3 updates. When I enter the App Store to update them, there are no updates shown. When I back out of the App Store, they are no longer shown on the iPad's App Store icon. When I again enter the App Store, only 2 updates show up. It's all very inconsistent. Rebooting, restarting, etc all do nothing. I believe the issue to be on Apple's end.

Updating safari to 2.0.1 after updating to 10.4.5

here's my situation: i updated to 10.4.5 and safari sort of disappeared, so i had to reinstall safari from the os x disc.
the problem: now i cannot update safari 2.0 to 2.0.1 - the safari update, being an update that precedes 10.4.5, states that i have to be running 10.4.2!
question: is there anyway for me to get the latest safari ?

1. Do I need to uninstall safari or any other items before I install 10.4.5 combo?
If you have the Tiger version of Safari installed, no. Otherwise you would have to reinstall the base version from your Tiger Installer DVD.
2. During the install, are all items re-written or does the install only look for individual items needing updates?
If you are reinstalling, a fresh version of Safari is created. Prior to the reinstall it's important to move your Safari folder (contains your bookmarks, history etc.) in your User Library to the desktop. Otherwise, the reinstall overwrites the original. After the reinstall, you'd move the folder back into the Library overwriting the new folder. You ought to recreate your preference file when the final update is completed.
Since you are simply upgrading the base Tiger version using the combo, no need to do any folder moving as only the application is updated. Preferences, etc are preserved.
3. How do I repair permissions before and after the update?
In your Application/Utility folder you'll find Disk Utility. Select it. On the ensuing panel on the left select your hard drive. Click on the First Aid panel. Down the bottom you'll see "repair permissions". Select it. It's a pretty quick process in Tiger. Running "permissions" is essential after any Apple update to the system. Otherwise, you could run into mysterious problems.
