A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

Then:
Does the iOS device connect to other networks? See other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Since you purchased the device in Hong Kong, as described before, you can only get a friend/relative to take it to Apple, or you will have to do it yourself. Unfortunately that is what can happen when you need warranty work and have purchased a device outside of the country that you live in.

Can't restore iphone 5 using itunes. It asks for update of ios 7.0.4 while it is in the latest ios and once I start the update using itunes it doesn't complete. Stucks with lots of errors like, 3253, 9000 series. What to do???

Error 1015 means either you're trying to restore to an earlier iOS version, which is not supported, or you previously hacked the phone - jailbroken or iOS downgrade. In the later case, you can no longer restore or update.

My dtr plugged her phone in to link to itunes and it prompted an error message. Now itunes saying she has to restore the phone which she doesn't want to do as will lose all pics...the phone has a screen that will only prompt to reconnect to itunes even after turning off. Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start, try this a few times if necessary. If still problem, you may have to just Restore your iPhone to get it working. In the future sync your iPhone with iTunes routinely and when it contains important data, iCloud when set correctly will do this for you continuously.

Error 3014 may indicate that you need to free up more disk space on the computer before trying to restore again.
