TS3700 My headphones are flush, but the music still stops when the display goes dim.

I reviewed the apple support recommendation for my music stopping for no reason and ensured my headphones were flush, but this is still occurring. Any ideas?

I have a new I Pod Nano 6th Gen and took to apple store cause the music would also stop playing and the headphones were not working. Apple was able to restoe it due to the voice over button had been hit by accident so screen would not work tried to do the power and volume down reset but would not work also and took them about 10 mins to get it restored at the store. And the headphone problem was due to small amount of debris stuck down in the headphone jack. They had looked at hole for earbuds and saw that something was blocking the headphones from seating all the way.. They tried with their tools to clear and could not get out the object with their tools but showed me how to look down the plug for the headphones with a flaslight and you should be able too see a small white dot at bottom of plug and if you can not see white dot at the bottom something is in the hole blocking it.. I took a needle and gently tried to pull object out and was able to break up small piece of debris that had got jammed in hole and then the debris came right out when turn over the nano and shook out small amount of the debris and then looked with flash light down plug hole and was able to see whit dot and was able to put headphones in and they worked fine. I do not recommend to try this if do not have good hand skills and can GENTLY break up piece of debris to shake out took about ten mins to clean out and see the white spot at the bottom indicating plug was now unblocked and saved $75.00 for a replacement nano that was a 16gb that cost me $100.00 to buy new factory sealed Good Luck but they were very helpful at the store!!!...resetting unit quickly and pain free

This is usually an indication that your headphones/earbuds are not plugged all the way in. Double check the connection and make sure that no metal from the jack is showing.

I downloaded and installed OS6 on my iPhone 4 last Thursday. It seemed to be working fine, and then at the gym while listening to music, the player kept stopping whenever I opened Safari. When I got home, I backed up and reinstalled the operating system. It seemed to be fine, but then today, the same issue reappeared. Hmm, looks like launching iBooks shuts down any background audio. Once iBooks is running however you can switch apps, restart the audio and return to iBooks. Provided you don't open a multimedia book like the Beatles Yellow Submarine freebie then you can read without disrupting the audio playback.
I've tried choosing different titles in iBooks, or just the library, then quitting the app, running some audio and starting iBooks again. It repeatedly pauses audio even when iBooks doesn't have any immediate use for the audio channel. As long as you don't actively shut down the iBooks app however you can choose some music as background when you are reading.

This would be a HUGELY powerful feature for backing tracks if it worked.

Update: I can get this to work ok sometimes. My current thinking is that number of patches/songs affect things. I'll do more tests and report back. The CPU meter hardly moves but the memory meter is 50% gray and maybe 5% dark. (4GB memory on i7 iMac - samples are on FW Glypg HDD.

When a Service Request is created, the agent take over this SR and then set the status to Customer Action. I know the CRM 7.03 has the ability to exclude the Cumtomer Action time out form the Response time of SLA. However, I don`t know how to set it up. Could somebody help to give me some information about this?
I noticed that in SLA, there is a Work duration(SRQ_WORK_DUR) and a Total Duration(SRQ_TOT_DUR), which Duration is used to affect the traffic light of SLA MPT time?

Hi,
in fact you can only trace duration of Customer Action status lifetime - this you can do by
SPRO -> ... -> Define Settings for Durations.
and SPRO -> ... -> Date Management to create this new duration and add to SR dates profile.
So then in Dates tab of Service Request you will have new duration called eg. Customer Action.
If you would like to additionally exclude it from Due Date, so you should then add this status lifetime to Due Date - then Due Date would be pushed to the future (eg. Customer Action status took 3 hours, so after changing status to other one you can write down this time to duration, and then add to Due Date).
For that you need to have a development - eg. using CRM BT Events, or in WebUI layer.

I have a 6th generation Ipod nano (it is already a replacement after the firsts hold button broke within its warrenty) So now my replacement before it was even a year old has stopped working, the music cuts out when the screen goes dark. I have checked the earphone socket and tried different earphones, I have reset the ipod and still nothing has changed. the music still cuts out when the screen goes dark, any suggestions?

Does this happen still when you use another set of headphones? Have you check to make sure the headphone jack is clean and clear of debris? If so, the jack may be faulty or damaged meaning you'll need to take or send your iPod in for service/repair.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

It sounds like even though the Mute switch is not on, sounds are not making the, well, sound they should, and the volume buttons make a blank volume indicator appear on the screen that does not show the volume level.
I wanted to recommend a couple of things.
First, I would reset the phone:
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If that does not resolve the issue, then you may want to try backing up to iTunes, and restoring the iPhone again but this time do not restore the backup and set it up as new to see if the issue persists without the previous configuration.

Try a hard reset:
Hold the home button and the sleep/wake button down at the same time. The phone will turn off and then the apple logo will appear. As soon as you see the apple logo release both buttons.
If the issue remains check the headphone jack to see if the water indicator has been set off. if it has you will see a red/orange spot inside your headphone jack and would mean you have water damage and would need the phone to be replaced.
Last option would be to back up your phone and restore to factory settings to determine a software or hardware issue.

Thank you so much for the reply. I does not appear to be the headphones because I get the same interference sound from my Ihome radio when I dock by Ipod on it as well as when I connect the Ipod to the radio connection in the car. I have isolated the issue to the Ipod because these same tunes play without interference on my PC so something is happening in the sync process.

I have no idea what may have caused your MacBook to stop working, but from your description it kind of sounds like it may have started before you ran Software Update and installed the new Apps. Just the general slow feeling and bugginess is what tips me off. You said that you weren't sure if you had closed all open windows, that doesn't matter if the computer restarts itself. It automatically closes all other open applications when restarting.
As to your data being retrievable, if when you take it in they do a fresh install of the OS, then no, it will not be unless you want to pay several thousand dollars to a software retrieval company.
I am glad to hear that you have taken into the Apple Store to get it fixed, and that you have all of your purchased music backed up to your iPod. You should be able to just transfer it all back to iTunes once you get your computer back should it be necessary.
As a side note, the proper place for this topic would probably in the MacBook forums, not iTunes since there is no evidence that iTunes started the issue.

The iPad message is correct, it is unsupported. You cannot pair your iPad with your friends phone. Bluetooth on the iPad is designed for the use of headphones, keyboards, speakers and some peer to peer gaming.
