Latest IOS 7.1 Release - How can I set calendar events to the minute. This was enhanced in ios7 and now has gone back to 5 minute blocks. Why???/

In IOS6 you could only set calendar appointments at 5 minute intervals. This was fixed in IOS7 but has reverted back in the latest release of IOS7.1. Why? IS there any way to override it. It means I have to go back to my old method of putting my actual golf tee time in the description of the appointment.

How can I set an event to repeat on a week day rather than a numerical day of each month? I see an option at the bottom of the repeat window .... but I cannot use it. Actually, when I try it freezes up my Calendar.

This should get you started down the pathJust replace User data with your cluster and do the data integrity check in the value change event use a simple one button dialog to notify the user which values are out of compliance and disable and grey the OK button untill all conditions are met.

I would have one event listener that is aware of a boolean variable that has scope outside of the event listener, isBold for instance?
When you click on the button, have the event listener toggle the boolean variable and then if true, set the text to bold, if false set the text to plain.

How can I set up hotmail in the mail application

How can I set the mail application to include hotmail? I've been able to add it, but it doesn't sync read and unread messages. I know iPhones used to have the same problem, but after iOS5, there was an option to include mail from hotmail. Is there an option to include hotmail now in Mail, as I can't find it.
Also, as I've just switched from Windows to Mac, is there a button on Mac for home and end like Windows has?

Unfortunately hotmail requires you to pay a fee to have your e-mail go through a mail application, like Apple Mail. Contact their customer service to see about fees, as well as set up process.

I always want google classic, but sometimes i get google beta or google security (or whatever, can't remember its name) when i don't want it. why does this happen and how can i set google classic as the default?

google is my default on the home page. But when i ask for google or simply open firefox, i sometimes get google beta or google security (or whatever its name is) instead of google classic. I just want google classic. How can i set it as my default. (I have a desk top computer, use firefox, and this never happens.)

Whose mistake? The source of the problem:
I was required to enter my recovery key. Now, there begins that huge flaw. I've forgotten it (I know it was my responsibility to remember it).
If you had just taken the simple steps of storing your recovery key as Apple tells you to when you set it up, none of this would've happened.

After you turn it on, there will be no way for anyone to access and manage your account at My Apple ID other than by using your password, verification codes sent your trusted devices, or your Recovery Key. You must be responsible for:
Remembering your password.
Keeping your trusted devices physically secure.
Keeping your Recovery Key in a safe place.
If you lose access to two of these three items at the same time, you could be locked out of your Apple ID account permanently.
In addition, with two-step verification turned on, only you can reset your password, manage your trusted devices, or create a new recovery key.
Apple Support can help you with other aspects of your service, but they will not be able to update or recover these three things on your behalf.
If you aren't responsible enough to do that, you should not have turned the optional security feature on.
This is your fault, not Apple's.

On my PowerBook, I was able to set up events to show up on a specific day repeating each month, say the first Thursday. How can I get that on the iPad 2?

For your repeating even, I'm assuming this is your Yahoo calendar? that isn't a Firefox issue, I suggest you try to contact yahoo.
For the other issue, try the following:

Can I set multiple events at the same time to repeat on iCal?

I know I can do this by manually selecting each one of them and setting it to repeat.
But it's a pain and it doesn't make sense not to be able to edit more than one event at the same time.
When I want to set up my weekly schedule I do it for one week and I want to be able to select all the events in that week and set all of them to repeat weekly at once.

There are editors that bring up the songs one at a time, so you can edit them in a row. Winamp works that way. iTunes does not.

The effect you're looking for is 'Scale'
In Keynote '09, 5.1.1 select the graphic.
Click Inspector in the tool bar, Build Inspector (3rd icon from the left), (Build In and Build Out are both set to None for this step) Effect, Action, and then Scale.
It rescales ('zooms') the selected item (image) up or down from 0% to 200%
Clicking on the More Options button at the bottom opens a drawer to the left, and gives you more control over how the build occurs, whether they happen automatically, timed, or when you click, and re-order build steps.
At 200%, double the original size, resolution could be a problem. There is a workaround, because it also scales smaller, down to 0%. So I would scale the graphic down 'small' as the first step to fit at the bottom, (even hide it behind a background-colored box) as you scale it down, and then at the end, scale up to full size to fill the screen at 'normal' resolution.
In the attached example, I use a 'scale' up to go from 100% to 130% on a map, and use arrows and a flashing line to point out the road where a specific business is located with 12 steps. Some elements in my slides have been intentionally obscured. For simplicity, I've eliminated showing any steps but the initial title and the scale.

I don't believe there is such a custom repeat option with the iPhone's Calendar app, but if you are syncing calendar events with a supported calendar app on your computer or syncing calendar events over the air with an email account that supports it with an option to create such a custom repeating event with the online calendar, set up the custom repeating event there.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! My screen images were so big that I couldn't log in or even slide the control to turn the phone off. The double tap with three fingers gave me the access I needed, and then I was able to turn zoom off via the settings as you suggested.

How can I set a delay between the measurement of different channels...?

I am using Labview 8.0, and a PCI 6221 card. (windows XP).
I am using the 8 AI of the card to measure 8 Voltages (diff. mode).
The problem I have is that I get an offset except on the first channel I measure. If I set the DAQ assistant like this : AI0;AI1;AI1. This is what I measure : 0.320V;0.1695V;0.168V
I only get the offset with the first AI1 and not the second AI1 (0.168 is the correct value). I suppose the multiplexer hasn't got the time to change impedance when changing from AI0 to AI1.
I have attached a simplified version of my program where I am measuring 3 channels, and generating a square wave analog output.
My idea is to introduce a delay between the change of channels.... Is that a good idea...? and I am sure there is a very simple way to do this based on my program, but I don't know how. How long should the delay be? Or any other idea...?

If I choose just one channel ( AI0, AI, AI2,....or AI7) I have no offset. The offset only occurs when I set more than one channel to be measured ( but the first channel in the order of reading is always fine what ever it is). I have explained my problem in a previous post :

I have some noise on my measures (roughly +/5 mV), so for the moment I am taking 1000 samples every 1ms on each channel and making an average of the 1000 samples.
I will try your solution : taking a look at the first points of my measures to see if the offset goes away quickly or not. However since I have been making an average on 1000 points at 1Khz, if I get a 2mV offset (after making the average), it means there are many points conerned by the offset.... I will see that anyway when looking at the 1000pts.
I don't have much experince in this, but I am surprised I have to deal with this kind of multiplex problem on a NI card. What do you think about it...? Does it surprise you...? What could I be doing wrong ?

How can I set Paul to be the default TTS voice?

Is there a way to set a TTS voice as the default so that it is always selected by default as the voice to use? I have all the voices installed and it currently defaults to Bridget - I guess because that is the first voice in the list. I normally use Paul but sometimes others so I want access to all the voices but would like the default to be Paul. I know that once I set Paul for the first slides, it defaults for that project for the rest of the slides, but I have to do this for every project and if I forget to set Paul then I have to go back and redo the slides. It would be nice if I could set the default to the voice I use the most often. I'm using Captivate 7.

In the Finder, single-click on any text file, then type command-I (Get Info). You'll see an Open With... menu item. Select Pages from the list (if it's not in the list, navigate to it). Finally, click the Change All button. Use the same process for .doc files. Now, if you double-click on any of these files, it should open in Pages.
