TS3772 how to download applicaton in my touch ipod

i m using apple ipod touch i dnt knw how to manage and download application

You can't download any type of files via Safari (or any other browser) under the iOS.  All music files have to be downloaded from the iTunes store on iOS devices.  You can sync other music files from your computer.

Some of the information below has subsequently been summarized by turingtest2 in the post at https://discussions.apple.com/message/18842615
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only media purchased from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):
    - Senuti - http://www.fadingred.com/senuti/

  • How to download iOS 4.2 to iPod touch

I have a 2nd generation iPod touch. How do I download iOS 4.2 to my iTune and/or iPod so I can download games to my iPod? I looked it up on Apple support and it only gave me a guide that said its compatible but not how to download. A little help here? Thanks

sanjeeva's suggestion looks far more involved than it needs to be and it only directs you to somewhere else.
Connect the iPod to iTunes and when the device appears on the left side of iTunes, look on Device/Summary pane and look at the area labelled Version. You should see a message telling you that there is an update available, do you wish to download it. Possibly, a pop-up would appear telling you this. If not, the text should offer you an option to select Check for Update, use that. If you do a manual check and you see a message saying that "your iPod software is up to date", that would suggest that you either already have iOS 4.2.1 or that your iPod is 1st generation, not 2nd.

I'm guessing that you accidently downloaded an app which is for iPod Touch. It won't sync to your iPod. To get a game for your nano, (assuming your on iTunes 9) go on the iTunes Store and hover over App Store. Now click on the dropdown box and select iPod Clickwheel Games. These are your possible games you can buy. There are no free ones or demos. To get a game simply select the game, mabe watch the preview to see if you want it and then select buy. To put it on your ipod plug in your ipod in itunes. Then click on it in itunes. Now go to the tab on your ipod and select Games. Select the games you want to sync and press sync. Your good to go.

Assuming that you have an iPod with video playback capability, you would be best to post this question in the iPod video (5th generation) forum here.

  • How to download music from hardrive to ipod

I need to know how to download music and video from hard drive to IPOD. I tried dragging these into the ipod but would not take.
Everything is on a external hardrive.

    Huh?
Have you installed iTunes on your computer?
Have you imported the songs and videos into your iTunes Library? (iTunes is a database listing, your songs etc.)
Did you then connect your iPod to iTunes so that it can Sync the music to the iPod?

This is the manual for the 4th gen shuffle
    http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPod_shuffle_4thgen_User_Guide.pdf
which is available through the manuals web page on Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/manuals/
First, you should download and install the latest version of iTunes, from here
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/
Information about using iTunes with your shuffle is in Chapter 3 (seems like that should be Chapter 1, but hey, I didn't write the manual ).
You can come back with any specific questions, if the manual does not answer them...
