When I try to use my network on my iPhone, I see my network listed but I get the message "unable to join the network (and my network's name). What do I have to do to use my own network? There is no place to put a password

To keep your apps and other data separate, create a second user account in Windows and backup your data from the phone to this new Windows account:

Do you mean iTunes library?
iTunes account is what you use to make iTunes purcahses.
iTunes library is what is on your computer.

No, it tells you it can only be sync'd with one iTunes library.
Simplest way is to copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder (thisis the iTunes library) from old computer to new computer.

You can use different ID's for iTunes and iCloud.
Just delete the account in settings > iCloud and create them their own account.
if the children are minors, you wiil need to create and be responsible for each account yourself.

You have two options.
1. You can plug the iPhone into iTunes and select the "Info" tab and choose "Sync Mail Accounts" and this will transfer the settings across.
2. In the iPhone you can go to Settings > General > Mail, Contacts and Calendars and choose "Add account"
You will need to know if your account is POP, IMAP or Exchange and this will help determine what settings you need to enter and how to set it up so both your computer and iPhone can receive email.
The iPhone can add most popular accounts with ease such as gmail, yahoo or hotmail.

If your carrier offers tethering, you will see it in Settings -> General -> Network. If your carrier doesn't offer it, you won't.
