TS3899 Cannot send email from my iphone using my comcast email account

I am able to receive mail from my Comcast mailbox on my iphone, but every time I try to send, it's stuck in the Outbox. I have tried deleting the email account and re-installing it on the iphone with no luck. What am I doing wrong???

I just updated to IOS 7.0.4 and I can't get my hotmail to sync up. I know hotmail turned to outlook but this is what i get when i click outlook and enter my information and click enter... "Unable to varify account information" the password is correct because I made sure at the actual website. my email looks like this

Are the messages successfully sent?
If so, what happens to a message after it is successfully sent has nothing to do with the cell phone that sent the message.

Pop accounts are really designed to access mail on ONE device, and only ONE device at a time. Having said that, do the following:
* Tap Settings on the iPhone Home screen.
* Now tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
* Tap the desired account under Accounts.
* Select Advanced.
* Now tap Delete from server under Incoming Settings.
* Select:
o Seven days to have iPhone Mail remove mail from the server a week after it has been downloaded.
o When removed from Inbox to make iPhone Mail delete mail from the server only when you delete it from your iPhone Mail inbox.
o Never to deep copies of all messages on your POP server.
* Press the Home button, when finished.
Be aware, that an important email's only copy should probably not be on your phone. But, that's the nature of a pop account.

Cannot Send Mail from my iPhone 4s

I am no longer able to send out replies or new emails from my phone, this is very recent and I have tried everything I know of.. But I am not THAT tech-savvy.
So, anyways, when I go to send an email or reply to one, I get a pop-up box that says "Cannot Send Mail - The username or password for "said"-hotmail account is incorrect." So then I go to the settings enter my correct password for my hotmail account, it accepts it, and try again. Same pop-box appears, even though my password and username are both correct. I know that they are correct because I am able to receive email with no problems at all.
Is this a fixable problem or should I call Apple or take my phone in directly to them and have one of the techs look at it ?

Problems with sending mail is rooted in the settings for the SMTP server. There are places in this that say the username and password are optional, but normally are required by many email providers. Go back into the SMTP server settings and check all of the areas. I also agree with Doctor9fan to check your SSL settings. If you cannot get it to work like this, then remove the account from the device and add it back. As you complete the creation, make sure the account verifies. You can also check the Microsoft site to make sure settings are correct for Hotmail.

Eric, thanks for the info about the pictures, it worked. The mail icon is not the one that came with the mac(it looks like a stamp with an eagle) this appears at a notepad with a ruler,paintbrush and pencil. I can not open it, I did not download it and now I can not turn off the computer with shutdown I have to manually turn if off by pressing the power button. This can not be normal. I can't access email from my iPhone 3gs since changing email password

iPhone 3s 16GB
iOS version: 6.1.3
ISP Bigpond Cable
I can't access my email from my iPhone 3GS.
This is an iPhone problem, not an ISP problem.
I know this because I can access my email from both my laptop and webmail.
This is occurring here at home via my WiFi network and also a few kilometres away via 3G.
This morning I had to change the password on my Bigpond Cable internet email account.
Whenever I try to access email from my phone I receive the following error:
"Cannot Get Mail"
"The user name or password for "**** *****" is incorrect."
There are two buttons, one captioned Settings the other OK.
Both the user name and password are correct. This happened perhaps 4 or 5 times in the 6+ years I was with Internode and has happened a couple of times in the 20 months that I've been on Bigpond Cable.
I have re-entered my email account and connection details multiple times to no avail.
I have tried deleting the account, then rebooting my phone and creating a new account, but that didn't work.
I tried deleting the account, turning the phone completely off, waiting one minute and then after turning it back on, creating a new account but that didn't work.
I know I am entering the correct settings because before I deleted the account the first time, I took a series of screen captures from the Settings App and I also have the settings from MS Outlook to refer to.
Its as though somewhere in the phone, the old email password is being stored and being used instead of the new one, but I don't know where that could be except in the Settings app, "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" and that is where I am entering the new password.
The only solutions to this problem I found by searching are those that I have already tried and haven't worked for me.
Reverting to the old password is not an option. My account was compromised by Malware, hence the password change and a complete scan of my laptop.
Any ideas?

The problem was resolved by erasing the entire contents of my phone and then restoring it, setting it up as a new phone.

I am able to receive my mail on my Iphone 4S (hotmail account) but cannot send. I get a message : the mail server ''pop3 live.com'' is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings.
I have checked all info and password is correct.
What else can I do? I used to be able to send mail before ....

There is no user name entered in your SMTP (advanced) preferences.

I can't email from a webpage using yahoomail, my email provider

If I am on a webpage and want to email it to someone, when I click on file to send a link, the Yahoo sign in page comes up instead of an email form. This happened after Lexmark fixed my printer. They insist that what they did was not responsible for this and that it is a browser problem.

I want to send email from my iPhone using Gmail/Exchange but I want my emails to come from my own domain.
I've tried a few different methods but my email ends up crashing after a couple days.
Is there a simplified process to solve this annoyance?

Sent email from my iPhone not synching with my desktop Mac

I am stumped. When I send email from my iPhone (using my POP account) the email is sent, shows up in my iPhone sent folder but does not show up in the sent folder in the Mail application on my desktop plus the little icon showing that I responded is not there. I guess it is not synching. This is a problem because I often don't recall if I responded to an email from my iPhone and I end up responding again to the email when I see it on my Mac desktop. My synch is working great with contacts and calendars, both push and fetch. I am also receiving emails, push and fetch, just fine. Can anyone offer advice or insight? Thanks!

I am having the same problem. When I send from my iPhone (old version), the messages are not shown in my send folder on my desktop Mac. They are showing up in MobileMe, however. I have checked settings on my Mac and on the phone and still can't figure out what has happened. This all started with the new syncing system.
