TS3899 Eating email!!!

Since I updated my iphone5 messages are being deleted from the server even though settings arecsetbto never. Bug?  Anyone else having this problem and what to do??

Check your settings on the account, or remove it and readd it completely.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

  • TS3899 Outgoing email is stuck giving me a! In red . It's asking for a password or user name not correct . I look at the settings mail and the out going and it looks fine to me.confused

  • TS3899 Ipad Emails

    I have not been able to get my emails from my IPAD...states server connection failed. Passwords are correct. Any ideas? I thought I had to sync this to my computer but that has not worked either.

  • TS3899 Adelphia email connection failures

    I have tried numerous times to connect my new iPad Air to receive my Adelphia email......  I used the same information that works on my older iPad. incoming and outgoing are both set at "mail.adelphia.net"  But no response other than the "adelphia server is no responding"  Called Adelphia tech support and they said it was Apples problem,,,Went to Apple Genius desk in Thousand Oaks and they say its Adelphia's problem....So ! Anybodygot any ideas? Solutions? or contact number to call for tech support?  The also occurs on my iPhone 5

  • Thunderbird "eating" emails on some accounts, but not others

    Greetings.
    I'm currently playing tech support for my mother, who has been having issues with Thunderbird that I can't wrap my head around.
    She has numerous email addresses all connected into Thunderbird. However, recently two of them have decided that once an email comes in, after a random period of time it will delete that email, removing it from existence entirely.
    I tried moving a spam email (which is automatically moved to the trash) from the trash, into the inbox, but by the time I got to the inbox to check how long it lasted, it had disappeared into nothingness. It hadn't moved back into the trash, but instead was jut removed.
    Considering one of these accounts is a customer support account, it's kind of important to be able to view emails for longer than the 15 or so seconds they're allowed.
    I've gone through the settings/properties for Thunderbird and both accounts but was unable to find anything obvious that could be causing this.
    Any and all help on this matter would be appreciated.

AT&T can't help me -- no one else has this problem, even though we're all on the same server from my company. I have restored to factory settings, but it didn't help. My email account settings are correct, the same as on my computers, and I can trash old messages on them.
    What do I do now?

    I have had a similar problem recently and followed advice here. Specifically, I used the brute force approach. As suggested by this site, I strongly urge you to backup your mailbox before trying this fix - just to be on the safe side.

  • TS3899 my email address is showing up as unknown when sent

    My email from one of my email accounts is showing up as "unknown". I think it is linked to my contacts. It is not having this problem in webmail.
    Any suggestions?
    Also, now I am showing 260 unread emails for the same account (I may have 10 that are unread).

    That is a reflection of what your DHCP server wants your host name to be. Most people just set a custom prompt that keeps the name you want.

    I am sorry not to have come back to you earlier but life has been rushing by at far too great a speed just lately !!!
    Firstly I compared all the settings of my ipone with that of my wife and made them identical.  No luck - still the same problem
    Then, I tried creating a new email identical account without deleting the original - no good I was told there was already an acount with the same details
    Finally I plucked up courage and deleted the account and created a new one.  Hey presto, it worked and everything is back where it should be.
    I am not as computer literate as I would like to be (old enough to remember the first telex messages and thinking them incredibly modern) and much appreciate the help you have been too me.

    hello,
    i have a problem where i cant access my emails on my ipad. when i got home i got my ipad to see my emails and when i tried to get in my ipad it asked me for a password.the exact word it said was," password incorrect: Enter the password for the Exchange account "hotmail". so what i did next i put my hotmail password in to see if it worked and it didnt.then after i did that i said Exchange account: unable to verify account information. so after i did that i pressed okay and the it pop up again asking my for the password again that witch was inccorect so i tried typing it again and put my apple id password and it didnt work either. so i tried to put every password that i could remeber that i made for my ipad and none of them work. finally what i did after i looked on google to see hoe i can unlock it and so it said press the home button 3 times so i did and it work so i go the settings and to see what was going on.
    so after i did that i went to the email option on the options on the ipad . i went to the hotmail/email option,i clic on it . i click on my email adress and wen i got in that i tried to see what was going on and to me it seemed like if nothing was wrong. so then i tried going back and then it kept asking me the same thing. so idk if apple company can give me my password to see what it was before and to get it back again or idk if u guys can help me get it back somehow...
